Abstract

This study aims to know of understanding of authoritative parenting style and affected the children behaviour while using a gadget. This is qualitative with data collection from an interview, observation, and document. Analysis of the data used by Miles and Huberman. The subject is parents and their children lived at Yogyakarta. This result is the parents with authoritative parenting can classify, analyze, comparing, and evaluate their parenting style. With those understanding gives the effect on children when the children used gadget at home such as show discipline and follow the parent's rules; the children have critical thinking and independent using the gadget. Even though authoritative parenting identical with gives freedom, they have to give limit time for children to use a gadget, 6 - 7 hours in a week. Another recommendation does not give the children a gadget even though a gadget is one of the basic need for communication.

Abstract

Pembelajaran student center menekankan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa selama proses interaksi, tetapi Pandemic Covid-19 merubah prosesnya menjadi daring. Perubahan bentuk interaksi dan penyesuaian tujuan pembelajaran harus mengutamakan penerapan karakteristik SN DIKTI. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran tentang implementasi karakteristik pembelajaran di Prodi PG PAUD selama pandemic dengan student center. Penelitian survey cross sectional ini melibatkan mahasiswa aktif (n=54). Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner berbantuan Google Form. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan dideskripsikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mahasiswa penuh kesadaran terlibat aktif bersama dosen merumuskan rencana pembelajaran meliputi capaian, tujuan, metode, indikator, rencana aktivitas pembelajaran, dan prosentase penilaian; serta mahasiswa lebih tertarik untuk menyampaikan gagasan daripada mendengarkan ceramah selama perkuliahan. Aktivitas tersebut belum sepenuhnya pembelajaran aktif, namun merupakan bentuk implementasi dari student center teori pembelajaran humanis menurut Maslow dan Rogers. Pembelajaran student center yang humanis sangat sesuai diterapkan pada masa pandemic karena keterbatasan interaksi langsung, khususnya mengembangkan kemandirian mahasiswa.

Abstract

Facing the 4.0 Industrial Revolution in education is done by preparing human resources that have critical thinking skills and problem solvers, communication and collaborative skills, creativity and innovative thinking, and literacy of Information and communication technology. This research aims to know the extent of teachers at ECE in the of computer literacy based on their duties and responsibilities as educators in the learning process. This research is using the mixing method (quantitative and qualitative) approach with data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires and interviews. Analysis of the data used is a descriptive analysis deduction, namely analyzing and providing an interpretation of the collected data than needed studies. The subject of this study involved 58 professional certified teachers and had participated in training on ICT topics. The results showed that the level of readiness of teachers in the computer literacy on the readiness of supporting factors is to have a laptop and the basic skills of the applications in the form of MS office (words, PPT, Excel) and search engines only to support they working in organizing the learning administration. The teacher should be mastering of ICT as part of computer literacy including research activities, organizing, evaluating, communicating information, and understanding the rules of use of information and communication technology.

Abstract

Scaffolding in early childhood learning is one of the teachers' efforts in optimizing the development of children to comply with ZPD (Zona Proximal Development). This research aims to know the form of scaffolding performed by teachers in the use of Loose Parts media consisting of four stages, namely exploration, experimentation, creative and building the meaning and purpose of playing during the learning process at Integrated Early Childhood Education (PAUD Terpadu) Aisyiyah Nur’aini unit two Yogyakarta. The method used qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were 15 teachers with 4 teachers as informants selected through purposive sampling techniques.  The researchers used triangulation techniques for data validation and Miles and Huberman models for data analysis. The research tools used are an unstructured interview guide, an observation guide, and a documentation guide. Research results show scaffolding on the use of Loose Parts media in learning related exploration stage, experimental stage, creative stage and stage building meaning and play objectives adapted to the objectives of each stage and condition of the child. All these stages are related to each other. Later on this study, it was found that learning at PAUD Terpadu Aisyiyah Nur’aini unit two Yogyakarta began to be directed using learning with the concept of the project, the Reggio Emilia model and mixed with literacy-based learning. With this research, it is hoped that teachers can provide the right scaffolding for the child during play activities so that the child's creativity develops optimally.

Abstract

Pandemic Covid 19 mendorong adanya penyesuaian dalam penerapan layanan kesehatan dan gizi pada dimensi PAUD Holistik Integratif (HI) melalui penekanan pembiasaan hidup bersih dan sehat (PBHS) untuk mencegah sebaran covid 19. Namun, manajerial layanan tersebut di Satuan PAUD Kabupaten Sleman belum pernah dievaluasi. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi manajemen layanan kesehatan dan gizi selama pandemic covid 19. Model CIPPO digunakan dengan melibatkan 20 satuan PAUD yang mewakili per-kecamatan dan informan ditetapkan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan pemeriksaan dokumen, lalu dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasilnya, layanan kesehatan dan gizi tetap berjalan selama pandemic dan menambahkan prosedur kesehatan pencegahan covid 19, namun pemahaman guru terkait PAUD HI masih kurang. Dampak positifnya antara lain adanya dukungan dari orang tua dalam pelaksanaan prosedur kesehatan, kebiasaan menjaga kesehatan mulai terbentuk, serta peningkatan hubungan dengan pemberi layanan kesehatan. Rekomendasi utamanya adalah perlu peningkatan kompetensi guru untuk mendukung layanan kesehatan gizi di satuan PAUD.
