Abstract

Pertumbuhan yang cepat dalam Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) ini belum diiringi oleh ketersediaan dan kemampuan guru yang memadai. Untuk itu Perguruan Tinggi Keguruan perlu mepersiapkan calon guru yang siap mengajar sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu terkini berdasarkan  konteks pembelajaran  yang dihadapi. Perbedaan latar belakang mahasiswa program studi PAUD antara  mahasiswa yang berlatar belakang guru dan mahasiswa murni merupakan suatu fenomena yang menarik untuk dikaji guna memperoleh kesamaan dan perbedaan persepsi dalam menyikapi filosofi pembelajaran baik secara teori maupun praktek. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang berlatar belakang guru lebih fleksibel dalam menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran sesuai konteksnya, sedangkan mahasiswa murni lebih berorientasi pada siswa sebagaimana tuntutan perkembangan teori belajar saat ini. Perbedaan ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa harus dibekali praktek pembelajaran lebih banyak dengan berbagai konteks sehingga memberikan fleksibilitas dalam pembelajaran. Abstract The growth of Early Childhood Education (ECE) not yet supported by qualified teacher that makes early childhood education quality are low.  As ECE educator producer, ECE Department of Al Azhar Indonesia University should take role on preparing teacher’s candidate to become well inform both in theoretical and practical perspectives based on contextual teaching. The differences of student’s background between transferred student and fresh student become a phenomenon toward their own teaching perspectives. The research findings show that transferred students are more flexible than  fresh student in teaching where most of fresh student thinking based on   the latest theory studied based on books. The implication of the study is that  the fresh student should have experiences long enough in teaching  with various students background. The experiences with various students background might combine the essence of theory read by the student based on contextual practices.

Abstract

Abstrak - Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang harus diikuti oleh setiap mahasiswa keguruan termasuk mahasiswa PAUD. Pelaksanaan mata pelajaran PPL berbeda dengan mata pelajaran lainnya yang diikuti di kelas atau dilaksanakan di kampus baik secara teori maupun praktek. Berbeda halnya mata pelajaran PPL adalah mata pelajaran dalam bentuk praktek pengalaman lapangan sebagaimana kegiatan guru di sekolah-sekolah umumnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif (qualitative research). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitik, yaitu data dideskripsikan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, dan dimaknai secara mendalam berdasarkan perspektif emik yaitu penyajian data secara alamiah tanpa melakukan suatu manipulasi atau perlakuan terhadap subjek yang diteliti (Bogdan dan Taylor, 1975:31). Mahasiswa PPL sebagai calon gur harus memiliki 4 kompetensi yaitu: kompetensi pedagogic, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi professional, dan kompetensi social. Pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh mahasiwa PPL, guru pamong, dan dosen pembimbing memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam pelaksanaan PPL. Sedangkan peran kelompok PPL dan kepala sekolah kurang memiliki peran dalam pelaksanaan PPL. Kata kunci: mahasiswa PPL, kompetensi pedagogic, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi professional, kompetensi sosial  Abstract – Real Experience Program (PPL) is one of subject that should be followed by student of teacher training program include student of PAUD. The implementation of Real Experience Program subjects is different from other subjects that are attended in class or held on campus in both theory and practice. Unlike PPL subjects are subjects in the form of field experience practices as are the activities of teachers in general schools. The method used in this research is qualitative method (qualitative research). This research uses descriptive analytic approach, that is descriptive descriptive data, and interpreted in depth based on the perspective of emik that is the presentation of data naturally without doing a manipulation or treatment of the subjects studied (Bogdan and Taylor 1975: 31). PPL students as candidates must have four competence yitu: pedagogic competence, personality competence, professional competence, and social competence. The knowledge that PPL students, pamong teachers, and lecturers have has a very big role in the implementation of PPL. Abstract

The objective of the research is to study the role of field advisory lecturer (FAL) in encouraging the effectiveness of teaching assistance program (TAP). The research conducted by using descriptive qualitative method with 4 FALs who supervised 36 students throughout TAP batch 1 and batch 2 around Jakarta and Tangerang. The research finding shows that (1) FAL take important roles in TAP to coordinate planning, actuating, reporting with ministry of education, provincial education office, school and university to assure the positive impact for each side, and (2)TAP is one of Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology policies to synergize between school and university to accelerate basic education quality which is need comprehensive policy dealing conversion within curriculum of each department and its program continuity. Abstract

PAUD Kenanga memiliki 30 murid. Memiliki 1 kepala PAUD yang telah memiliki kualifikasi akademik S1 PAUD dan 4 orang guru yang memiliki kualifikasi akademik SMA. Selama pembelajaran jarak jauh, PAUD Kenanga menyelenggarakan pembelajaran secara bergantian dengan izin dinas Pendidikan kecamatan Larangan. Pembelajaran dilakukan secara online dan offline. Permasalahan yang ditemukan yaitu terbatasnya kompetensi guru PAUD terhadap pembuatan media pembelajaran guna meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif. Solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu  pelatihan dan workshop dengan materi pemanfaatan dan pembuatan media pembelajaran kognitif. Metode yang digunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain pretest- posttest control group design. Dilakukan dengan melakukan pengukuran (pretest) sebelum kegiatan dan (post test) dengan memberikan intervensi. Setelah dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mulai dari penyuluhan, sosialisasi hingga pendampingan, pengetahuan serta kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan serta membuat media pembelajaran untuk anak bertambah. Sehingga guru dapat menerapkan media pembelajaran yang sudah dibuat kepada anak dengan maksimal dan dapat menumbuhkan keaktifan anak dalam melakukan pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Pemanfaatan, Media pembelajaran, Kognitif

Abstract

TK Toledo sebagai mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat merupakan Lembaga Pendidikan yang terletak di daerah Pasar Rebo, Jakarta Timur. Lembaga Pendidikan ini menyelenggarakan layanan Pendidikan bagi anak usia dini dalam rentang usia 3-6 tahun. Kegiatan belajar mengajar sudah dilakukan oleh guru tetapi pembelajaran yang belum berbasis kurikulum 2013, sehingga tidak dapat diketahui ketercapaian atau ketidaktercapaian dari sebuah kegaiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan kompetensi dasar. Solusi yang akan diberikan kepada guru melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang didanai dari LP2M UAI pada program competitive public service grant. Adapun bentuk solusi yang akan diberikan adalah pelatihan dan workshop. Pelatihan yang diberikan kepada guru dalam materi pendekatan saintifik. Pendekatan saintifik merupakan salah satu startegi pembelajaran yang harus dilakukan pada kurikulum 2013 PAUD. Kemudian workshop perangkat pembelajaran, dimana guru-guru menyusun dan merancang rencana kegiatan mingguan dan harian berbasis kurikulum 2013 dengan pendekatan saintifik. Tahap akhir dari kegiatan ini adalah pendampingan dalam mempraktekkan strategi pembelajaran PAUD berbasis kurikulum 2013. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menujukan adanya peningkatan strategi pembelajaran pada guru di TK Islam Toledo sebesar 69% yang memiliki kategori “Baik”. Kesimpulannya adalah kegiatan pelatihan pendektan saintifik dan workshop tentang perangkat pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan strategi pembelajaran yang dimiliki guru.Kata Kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran, Guru, Kurikulum 2013

Abstract

Pengembangan anak usia dini tidak lepas dari lingkungan yang membentuknya mulai dari lingkungan keluarga sampai dengan lingkungan masyarakat yang lebih besar. Pengembangan AUD merupakan tugas orang tua dan keluarga maka keterlibatan berbagai pihak dari masyarakat, pemerintah perlu berkolaborasi dalam mendukung pengembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola keterlibatan orang tua dalam pelaksanaan Pengembangan Anak Usia Dini  Holistik Integratif (PAUD HI)  serta  faktor-faktor pendukung  orang tua dalam elaksanaanya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif terhadap 184 responden yang berada di Jakarta Selatan dan Depok. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1)  pola keterlibatan orang tua khususnya ibu dalam PAUD HI diawali dengan kebutuhan anak di Posyandu dan Bina Keluarga Balita yang dinisiasi oleh Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga, (2) factor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan PAUD HI dalam hal ini bekerjasama dengan lembaga satuan PAUD, Puskesmas, P2TP2A, pihak kecamatan, dan pihak lainnya.. Selain itu keaktifannya juga didorong oleh kecintaan pada anak, untuk bersosialiasi dan bermanfaat untuk masyarakat. Untuk itu disarankan agar kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan konsisten dan terjadwal dengan melibatkan kader dan orang tua yang peduli anak yang secara berangsur-angsur PAUD HI dapat dilaksnakan dalam satu atap

Abstract

This study aims to improve the cognitive abilities of children aged 3-4 years using numerical play media. This research method, which is an experiment involving 10 parents, is expected to be an alternative for children's habituation to direct experience involving all of the child's senses. Action research will be conducted in the Kemmis & Taggart model. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were children aged 3-4 years. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interview, documentation study. The data collected were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the cognitive improvement in the first cycle was 75% in the good category and the second cycle reached 86.8% in the very good category. Based on the analysis in cycle I and cycle II, the researcher can conclude that the use of Numerical Main Media can improve the cognitive abilities of children aged 3-4 years. Keywords: Cognitive ability, early childhood, numeric playing media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi guru dalam menstimulasi kemampuan motorik halus melalui kegiatan Practical life, apa saja faktor-faktor yang menjadi pendukung dan penghambat dalam menstimulasi kemampuan motorik halus anak melalui kegiatan Practical life, serta apa saja kegiatan rutinitas yang dilakukan guru dalam menstimulasi kemampuan motorik halus anak melalui kegiatan Practical life pada usia 4-5 tahun. Perkembangan motorik halus mengacu pada organisasi otot-otot kecil seperti jari dan tangan, yang membutuhkan ketelitian dan koordinasi dengan tangan, serta penggunaan alat untuk mengerjakan suatu benda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah 1 orang kepala sekolah dan 6 orang guru kelas A. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi serta teknik analisa data menggunakan model Milles and Hubberman yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Strategi yang dilakukan oleh guru adalah demonstrasi, pemecahan masalah dan pengajaran langsung. Faktor pendukung dalam menstimulasi motorik halus adalah alat peraga atau apparatus Montessori menggunakan benda sesungguhnya yang dijumpai anak dikehidupan sehari-hari, metode montessori, kerjasama antara guru dan orang tua, pelatihan guru mengenai metode Montessori, dan rekan kerja. Sedangkan Faktor penghambat dalam menstimulasi motorik halus anak adalah kurangnya dukungan orang tua dan kesabaran anak saat bermain. Kegiatan rutinitas yang dilakukan guru dalam menstimulasi kemampuan motorik halus anak melalui kegiatan Practical life adalah menuang, melipat, dan kegiatan lainnya. Kesimpulan adalah kegiatan practical life dapat menstimulasi perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran demontrasi, pecahan masalah dan pengajaran lagsung.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Asia is the second region after Africa to have the tallest prevalence of stunting in the world. Indonesia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia with the fifth highest prevalence of stunting in the world at 37%, or nearly 9 million children who experience stunting. This study aims to examine the factors that influence and risk the occurrence of stunting in children in Indonesia. The research method uses a type of qualitative research with a traditional literature review. This study found that stunting is influenced by several complex factors not only at the individual level but also at the family and community levels. A comprehensive synthesis of the available evidence on the determinants of stunting in children in Indonesia outlines who is most vulnerable to stunting, which interventions are successful, and what new research is needed to fill knowledge gaps. Abstract

The environment is an important element in the period of early childhood, a sensitive period where children are ready to respond to all stimuli from the environment. The play environment is a very meaningful resource for facilitating children's play activities. This study aims to determine the playing tools used by toddlers, either locomotor, nonlocomotor, and manipulative, and to identify aspects that are generally stimulated by families at toddler age. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with 106 families in Jabodetabek as respondents and the research lasted for 9 months, June 2019- January 2020. The data collection tool used was questionnaire to gather information about the respondent family environment. The data is then processed and analyzed using: (a)Descriptive Statistical Analysis: questionnaire filled by respondents are analyzed for data trends, and (b)Qualitative Analysis: results of descriptive statistical analysis are explained qualitatively through the description of observations and interviews on respondents. The results showed that: 66.04 % toddlers live in nuclear families and 33.96% within extended families. Facilitation from the play environment for toddlers to strengthen the feelings of self, independent activity, and cooperation is quite high, but the possibility for toddlers to play fantasy is quite low. Aspects of development generally stimulated by families at toddler age are more nonlocomotor, and acceleration of technological development in developing children's play has widened the gap on children's playing experiences in familiesKeywords - Toddler, Play environment, Family.
