Abstract

Cell phones have become a major part of the society in daily life - today. The use of mobile phones has spread in every community, rural and urban. SingTel, Hutchison, Comindo Axiata and Indosat are some operators cellular telecommunications network that use UMTS and HSDPA technology. The parameters that determine the power level and the quality of the signal strenght of each operator is known as RxLevel (the Receptiom Level) for GSM and the RSCP (Received Signal Code Power) in order to WCDMA. One of methods for analyzing to measure that parameters is a drive test which use RF signal tracker software. This research will compare a drive test method with simulation method, where the simulation using radio mobile software. The location of this research is in some protocol streets on Pekanbaru, such as Jend. Ahmad Yani, Gajah Mada and Diponegoro. The result shows that Telkomsel has the best signal strength in protocol streets on Pekanbaru with -62.335 dBm, followed by XL Axiata with -66.323 dBm, then Hutchison with -74.401 dBm. The lowest signal strenght is operator Indosat with the value -85.84 dBm.

Abstract

In this study, the authors implement an application Spectrum Analyzer used to examine the frequency response of the human voice. This application begins with making the function of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), which calculates the value of the amplitude of a wave file. Then the manufacture equalizer and normalization adjusts the value of the highest amplitude of each spectrum to be more easily studied. Spectrum Analyzer application is built using MATLAB programming language. From the test results, the human voice is in the frequency range of 300 -3400 Hz and a human voice shrill has higher frequencies then bass, By using sound recorder application that already include in the operation of windows, the audio signal will be at the input. The audio signal that we will process here is the type of audio signal stereo. Stereo signals having a phase of R and L which produces the dominant voice on the left or right.  Keywords : Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the audio signal, spectrum analyzer

Abstract

This paper proposed a reliable microwave backbone link design from Ujung Batu to Pasir Pengarayan by taking into account the antenna height and the distance. Pathloss 4.0 is used for designing microwave link and link budget analysis. A repeater is added between Ujung Batu to Pasir Pengarayan in order to improve the performance. This is due to an existing highland in between that affect to the antenna height. Mini link 7HC 128 QAM and Andrew antenna P8-6812 are used as microwave equipments. Design microwave links Ujung Batu- repeater and microwave link repeater – Pasir Pengarayan have availability 99.996%. Space diversity technique id used to improve the system as recommended by ITU-R G 826 of 99.999% availability.Keywords : Link budget, Space diversity, Availability, Pathloss 4.0

Abstract

Along with the development of fast wireless technology, car to car communication (C2C) has been widely used in communication between vehicles for internet access and safe driving control. During the last few years, the design of antennas using transparent materials has attracted the interest of researchers. This is due to the low thickness and light structure of transparent materials compared to conventional designs. In this study, the transparent antenna based on LTE technology for C2C communication is developed. This antenna works at 1.8 GHz with return loss of -27.98 dB. Abstract

The last decade has been enormous invasion of wireless device in the evolution of technology. The requirement of high throughput is needed to provide the quality of device such as audio, data, video, and games. However, the connected devices grown and increase critcially year by year. Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) that embedded for 4G technologies as one of technology that more likely to adapted on 5G to improve the data peak rate for SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio). Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) confirmed that can be the solution to provide better efficiency. This paper will proposed the design of dual band MIMO antenna 1x4 for 5G smartphone. The proposed antenna is designed RT Duroid 5880 substrate with overall dimension size of 150x70mm. The antenna consist of 8 elements that achieved -25.24 dB of return loss at 28 GHz frequency while at 38 GHz is -26.84 dB. Then achieved gain 8.82 dBi at 38 GHz frequency and 9.52 dBi at 38 GHz. Abstract

Air Quality is very important for life. Air monitoring is very necessary to anticipate the dangerous air pollution. Excellent air monitoring done in real time, so that the monitoring data obtained directly. In the research make aplication air monitoring real time device using internet of thing in waspmote plug and sense for monitoring of PM10 and waspmote OEM for monitoring CO and O3, data communication using Zigbee. Application Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 used as processing and connection to database MySQL. Design database air monitoring to connect monitoring so data can be stored. Application will process waspmote data to ISPU data for reference condition the air content PM10, CO dan O3, will display ISPU in Website. Abstract

The development of communication technology was started from first generation (1G) to fourth generation (4G), which each new generation always comes with a significant increase in performance. With the increasing of wireless mobile devices and services in the future, there are still some problems and challenges that can not be accommodated even by 4G, such as high data rates, area coverage, and low energy consumption. The 5G (Five Generation) technology presents to solve problems and the need to improve network efficiency and capacity, improved data rate with better coverage at lower power consumption. This research will design a planar array microstrip antenna, MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) 2x2, which works at a frequency of 37 GHz using CST (Computer Simulation Technology) Microwave Studio software. The antenna was designed by using RT-duroid 5880 substrate with a thickness of 0.508 mm. This design uses the technique of Microstrip Line/T-junction consisting of 4 elements. The simulation results obtained for 4 elements array are the return loss of -28.483 dB, the bandwidth of 2,12 GHz, VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) ≤ 1,078 and gain ≥ 11,8 dBi, The results obtained by MIMO 2x2 antenna are the return loss of -26,767 dB, the bandwidth of 2,12 GHz, VSWR ≤ 1,096 and gain ≥ 18,7 dBi. Abstract

This paper proposes feasibility the implementation of heterogeneous networks 5G in sub-district of Pekanbaru Kota. Het-Net is a network topology with technology of cell densification that spreads several levels of cellular communication networks. This topography also requires several of steps,i.e. sychas cells data collection, network plan by the capacity, network mapping based on the network coverage and network mapping by Software (e.g. open signal, google earth and MapInfo). Thees steps are to get voronoi diagramm and find out the point of id-cell and the areas which are not covered by the existing tower. 5G mapping is based on calculations, that resulted 5 new cells 5G tower with 0,419 Km of radius and 9 the cells from the existing tower. Based on the customers prediction, the design has fulfilled on the demand until 2020.Keywords: Heterogen Network, Mapping, Planning Capacity and Planning Coverage

Abstract

LTE and EGSM frequency spectrum in Indonesia are located on adjacent frequency channel. This could potentially cause interference among the systems. This study focuses on the analysis of potential interference between downlink LTE (LTE base station as an interferer) versus uplink EGSM (EGSM base station as a victim of interference). This interference could potentially lower the quality of the signal reception on the EGSM base station. In this study, interference between LTE and EGSM on 800 MHz frequency band will be analysed by using SEAMCAT simulation software. From the simulation’s results obtained, the interference of both systems is eliminated by adding the guard band. The guard band distance of 4.5 km for URBAN environment and the distance of 5.5 km for SUB URBAN provide the highest C/I ≥ 12 dB, respectively.Key words: LTE, E-GSM, guard band, interference, SEAMCAT.
