Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) in the learning process. This research is a literature study, which aims to determine the application of contextual learning approaches in learning in fostering student learning independence. In this study, the researcher first formulates the problem, then proceeds to explore existing and relevant research for analysis. Data collection techniques by browsing electronic journals, theses, and under theses through Google Schoolar. From the research results of 20 relevant articles, it shows that the CTL approach is very effective in increasing students' learning independence. This is because the CTL approach encourages students to construct their knowledge by applying it in everyday life as members of the family and community.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the feasibility of the CTL-based PPKn module; (2) determine the effectiveness of using the CTL-based PPKn module to increase student learning independence. This research is a development research with 4D models by Thiagarajan with four stages, namely Definition, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The trial design used was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design with sample of 25 students. The CTL-based PPKn module was declared very suitable to be used as a learning resource with the results of material expert validation by 90.63%, design expert validation by 93.75%, and linguist validation by 96.88%. The results of the N-Gain Score test are 0.72 so that the CTL-based PPKn module is effective for increasing student learning independence.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is to improve the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in Pembina State Kindergarten, Kec. Pancur Batu through foot print game. Foot print game activities are very beneficial for children's gross motor development. This classroom action research procedure uses the Kemmis and McTaggart model through four stages: planning, action and observation, reflection. Collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. This research was carried out in two cycles and each cycle was an improvement based on the results of reflections from the previous cycle. The results of this study indicate that the foot print game can improve the gross motor skills of group B children aged 5-6 years in Pembina State Kindergarten, Kec. Pancur Batu with a classical percentage in the initial cycle of 49.69% in the Poor category, the first cycle obtained a classical percentage of 60.31% in the Moderately Able category and in the second cycle the classical percentage was obtained by 73.43% in the Able category.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Strategi guru adalah pendekatan yang dilakukan oleh guru terkait perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi terhadap proses pembelajaran dalam rentang waktu tertentu. Guru perlu menerapkan  strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar siswa selama  proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Bahkan dengan adanya suatu strategi pembelajaran, guru memiliki pedoman pelaksanaan pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dengan maksimal. Dengan adanya kemandirian belajar dalam diri siswa akan membangun rasa ingin tahu terhadap materi pembelajaran, memiliki rasa percaya diri dalam bertanya, memiliki sikap kerja keras dalam mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan guru bahkan siswa tidak bergantung kepada orang lain untuk mengerjakan tugas. Untuk menentukan strategi pembelajaran dalam menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar siswa, guru perlu memahami indikator-indikator kemandirian belajar siswa dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemandirian belajar siswa.

Abstract

AbstrakModul adalah bahan ajar mandiri yang dikembangkan oleh guru untuk membantu siswa dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Pengembangan modul dalam pembelajaran PKn yang kemudian disebut modul PKn dinilai mampu mendukung sumber belajar siswa berbasis Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL). Pengembangan Modul PKn berbasis CTL menggunakan model 4D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan dalam empat tahap: Definition, Design, Development, dan Disseminate. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan validitas modul PKn berbasis CTL pada siswa kelas V SD. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Validasi dilakukan oleh 3 orang ahli yang merupakan dosen pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini dilakukan hingga tahap pengembangan dengan uji kelayakan oleh Validator. Hasil uji kelayakan modul PPKn berbasis CTL oleh validator menunjukkan persentase rata-rata 93,75% (sangat layak).Kata kunci: Validitas, Modul PPKn, Pendekatan CTL AbstractModules are independent teaching materials developed by teachers to assist students in achieving learning objectives. The development of modules in PPKN learning which was later called the PPKn module is considered capable of supporting student learning resources based on CTL.  The development of the CTL-based PPKn Module uses a 4D model developed by Thiagarajan in four stages: Definition, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The purpose of this study was to describe the validity of the CTL-based PPKn module for 5th  grade elementary school students. Research method is Research and Development   by collecting data using a questionnaire. Validation was carried out by 3 experts who are postgraduate lecturers at the State University of Medan. This research was carried out until the development stage with a feasibility test by the Validator. The results of the feasibility test for the CTL-based PPKn module by the validator showed an average percentage of 93.75% (very feasible).Keywords: Validity, PPKn Module, CTL Approach

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis tingkat praktikalitas modul PPKn berbasis Contextual Teaching Learning. Modul PPKn berbasis CTL adalah bahan ajar mandiri yang dikembangkan berdasarkan komponen-komponen pendekatan kontekstual, yaitu konstruktivisme, bertanya, menemukan, masyarakat belajar, pemodelan, refleksi, dan penilaian autentik. Pengembangan modul PPKn berbasis CTL dengan model 4D yang oleh Thiagarajan dalam empat tahap: Definition, Design, Development, dan Disseminate. Modul PPKn berbasis CTL diperuntukkan bagi siswa kelas 5 SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil angket respon 1 orang guru kelas 5 SDN 101835 Sibolangit dan 25 orang siswa kelas 5 SDN 101835 Sibolangit  terhadap kepraktisan penggunaan modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat  kepraktisan modul PPKn oleh guru 90% kategori sangat Praktis dan kepraktisan oleh  siswa 83,13% kategori Sangat Praktis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how teachers prepare Learning Implementation Plans for PPKn lesson content with a Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) approach including how teachers formulate learning objectives, develop learning steps, and design learning assessments with a CTL approach. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research are high school teachers, principals, and students. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. Based on the results of research at SD Negeri 101835 Sibolangit, it was found that in formulating learning objectives, the teacher first designed the Competency Achievement Indicators (GPA) based on KI and KD, learning objectives were written by taking into account the elements of Audience, Behavior, Condition, and Degree. In compiling the learning steps, the teacher integrates the components in the CTL approach including constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment. In designing the assessment, the teacher pays attention to aspects of authentic assessment including the assessment of attitudes, knowledge, and skills that are tailored to the learning objectives.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) with the aim of increasing the learning creativity of fifth grade students at SDN 101835 Bngkawan on the subject matter of Civics by applying the STAD Type Cooperative Learning model for material unity and national unity T.A 2021/2022. This CAR uses the Kemmis and McTaggart model with the stages of research, namely planning, implementing actions and observing, reflecting. This study lasted for two cycles based on the results of reflections from the initial observations and the previous cycle with the object of research being the fifth grade students with 13 boys and 12 girls. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of students' learning creativity in the initial conditions was 55% with the category of Less Creative. After implementing the STAD Type Cooperative Learning model, the first cycle obtained the percentage of student learning creativity of 68.6% with the category of Creative Enough and in the second cycle the percentage of student learning creativity was obtained by 79.8 % in the Creative category.

Abstract

The importance of character building for elementary school students encourages teachers to innovate in realizing character education. The focus of this research is to analyze the character values ​​contained in children's songs. As one of the teacher's efforts to shape the character of elementary school students through habituation. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach to achieve research focus. The object of this research is a children's song with the title: nenek moyangku, mars hidup sehat, and bintang kecil. Each research object was analyzed to find the character values ​​contained in the song implicitly to be conveyed to children. With the hope that conveying character values ​​in children's songs on a regular basis can provide an understanding of what is good and what is not good for elementary school students to do. The analysis of the research results shows that the character values ​​obtained include: honesty, hard work, responsibility, self-confidence, independence, cooperation, caring, mutual cooperation, and nationalism.
