Abstract

One very important indicator is language development because one of the factors that influence children's development in all aspects is children's language development, especially cognitive development. Language is a means of connecting and communicating children with the surrounding environment, so it can be concluded that language has an impact on the success of children in the future. Children's language development must be in accordance with the stages of the child's age. This study discusses language development, especially literacy in children aged 5-6 years. Where the focus of the research is so that children's language literacy can develop, for example, such as children being able to recognize the initial letters of names of objects. The method used is a series of whispering activities. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data sources come directly from teachers and students as many as 12 people. Based on the results of the chain whisper method research in improving language skills carried out at RA Umdi Al-ihsan Parepare showing a very good improvement.

Abstract

This study aimed to stimulate early literacy through a drawing board educational game tool in the A RA UMDI group in Kampung Baru, Parepare City. Based on the problems seen by the researchers, some children were lacking in knowing and knowing the letters of the alphabet and could not distinguish between vowels and consonants and the children were unable to know the letters of their names. Based on this problem, the researcher intends to apply an educational game tool, namely a drawing board which is expected to stimulate early literacy development in children in group A. The indicators for assessing the game are based on STPPA, namely 1) pronouncing letters, 2) bolding letters, 3) imitating letters 4) children can recognize the letters of their names. The results showed that before the educational game tool was implemented some children did not know about the letters of the alphabet. After the researchers applied the educational game tool, there was an increase in children who previously did not know about letters became able to distinguish between vowels and consonants. From the results of these activities, the researcher concluded that there was an increase in the development of early literacy through the drawing board game in which all the assessment indicators increased.

Abstract

Children's ability to recognize letters still uses the method of bolding letters. The aim of this research is to introduce finding board media to improve the ability to recognize letters in early childhood. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques in this research include observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects used in this research were group B2 RA UMDI TAQWA Parepare, totaling 12 children, 5 boys and 7 girls. Children's ability to recognize letters has increased by using finding board media.
