Abstract

Seiring dengan kemajuan zaman, penerapan teknologi modern dan kekinian semakin digalakkan dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan dan pembelajaran baik di kelas konvensional maupun di luar kelas secara online, sehingga diharapkan bahwa semakin modern teknologi tersebut maka semakin mudah bagi para pendidik dalam dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajarannya. Pembelajran bebasis teknologi informasi pada lembaga pendidikan tinggi telah menjadi perhatian serius bagi pengelola lembaga pendidikan, sebab bila lembaga pendidikan terutama lembaga pendidikan tinggi tidak menerapkan atau mengaplikasikan program pembelajaran online dengan dukungan teknologi terkini maka perguruan tinggi tersebut akan tergeser dan ditinggalkan oleh para peserta didiknya. Program pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi dengan berbagai dinamikanya menjadikan pembelajaran semakin menarik dan menantang, karena peserta didik dan pendidik tidak lagi dibatasi oleh ruang dan waktu sebagaimana dalam pembelajaran konvensional dalam proses pembelajarannya. Pembelajaran kini menggunakan media komputer berbasis online yang aplikasinya biasa disebut e-learning atau web-learning.

Abstract

Komunikasi Pendidikan menjadi salah satu keilmuan yang dilakukan dalam rangka peningkatan di dunia pendidikan. Salah satu modelnya yaitu Blended Learning yaitu suatu komunikasi pembelajaran yang menggabungkan penerapan pembelajaran tradisional di dalam kelas dengan pembelajaran online yang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Model pembelajaran ini mengoptimalkan pengintegrasian komunikasi lisan yang ada pada pembelajaran tatap muka dengan komunikasi tertulis pada pembelajaran online. Lebih lanjut pengertian lain dari Blended Learning merupakan pembelajaran yang bersifat fleksibel salain itu penggunaan e-learning atau pembelajaran online merupakan saah satu bentuk contoh pembelajaran yang fleksibel dalam metode Blended Learning. Penerapan model ini mampu meningkatkan mutualitas serta kualitas pembelajaran. Pemblajaran ini dapat menunjukan perbedaan yang lebih baik dalam segi motivasi, minat, maupun hasil belajar peserta didik dibanding metode-metode lain terutama metode dalam pembelajaran langsung, sehingga metode Blended Learning berhasil menjadi trend dan banyak digunakan di perguruan tinggi terkemuka di dunia. Menurut Vernadakis, et al (2012) model pembelajaran Blended Learning mampu menciptakan proses pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik. Dalam proses pelaksanaannya, dengan keterlibatan dan partisipasi dalam proses pembelajaran, Blended Learning dapat meningkatkan rasa tanggung jawab peserta didik. Selain itu, adanya interaksi dalam model pembelajaran Blended Learning menciptakan suatu motif kepada peserta didik untuk berkompetisi dalam belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the ability of interpersonal communication among students after the implemention of the learning model of concept map, two stay two stray, and two stay two stray with concept map. This research was experiment type designing the factorial pre test – post test involving two variables – two stay two stray and concept map. The object of this research was two senior high schools at Barru, South Sulawesi. The respondents in this research were 122 students. The result disclosed that the instrument of the ability of interpersonal communication among students has valid and reliable of Cronbach Alpha 0.822. The change of  communication as independent variable revealed that the learning model of concept map, two stay two stray, and two stay two stray with concept map provides positive effects on the ability of interpersonal communication among students. The learning model of two stay two stray provided the greatest effect with the value of 32.4%. The effect of concept map using the same size only provided the value of 7.8% and  the combination of both only provided the value of 4.4%. The further result revealed that the response of teachers on the the given treatment has positive and students have positive response and assess that the given treatment supports their learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The Java War had its unique influence on the development of pesantren. Prince Diponegoro plays the struggle against the invaders with some of his soldiers who come from among the pesantren. After his defeat in the Java War of 1825-1830, many Diponegoro warriors spread to teach religion. This research will discuss the sustainability of the struggle of Diponegoro warriors in pesantren and the Islamic treasures of the Java War, such as strengthening pesantren traditions and the existence of tarekat syattariyah (syattariyah order). This research is classified as historical research through Kuntowijoyo's historical research methods: topic selection, heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. This research yielded several conclusions, namely: First, after its defeat in the Java war, the struggle of Diponegoro warriors with a cleric-santri background continued through the establishment of pesantren with a change in strategy more to intellectual strengthening. Second, intellectual traditions during the Java War, one of which was through the study of yellow books typical of pesantren with fiqh and Sufi patterns such as Fatḥ al-Qarîb and Tuḥfah al-Mursalah ila Rûḥ al-Nabiy. Third, the existence of the tarekat syattariyah that had an anti-colonial character at that time was quite popular in Java, made the order followed by prince Diponegoro and some of his soldiers. Fourth, when compared to the Padri War, the typology of da'wah struggle developed by Diponegoro warriors is more moderately patterned identically to Walisongo's accommodating character.

Abstract

This study was conducted to help English teachers in designing English listening materials in form of audio and textbook through YouTube video editing. 18 English teachers of 10 Islamic junior high schools in Parepare were trained to write English listening materials in form of textbook and to edit video(download ,import, cut, merge, and export video) in form of audio.150 students were observed and tested to evaluate teachers’ products. Training materials consist of: (1) searching and download video through YouTube, (2) editing video that includes import, cut, merge, and export video, and (3) writing worksheet that contains phoneme discrimination dan listening comprehension exercise in form of multiple choice,true false,and completion. Training activities include: (1) explanation, (2) practice, (3) grouping, (4) assignment/design, and (5) evaluation and revision. After following training, teachers’ ability was categorized into good and fair in designing English listening materials. More than 50% teachers were categorized into good in editing video and 72% teachers were categorized into good in writing listening exercise. Students’ English listening learning outcome was categorized into good after learning by using teachers’ products and students have positive attitude in learning English listening skill.

Abstract

This article aims to describe Islam in Bone, history of entry, development, and influence on the religious traditions of the Bone community. This article uses historical research methods with four stages: heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the research: 1. Acceptance of Islam in Bone is the main role of the King who ruled for approximately three months, namely King La Tenri Pale, who was the XI king of the Bone kingdom in the 17th century AD. Officially, Islam was accepted by the people of Bone on November 23, 1611, AD or 20 Ramadan 1020 H when King XII ruled, namely La Tenri Ruwa Matinroe ri Bantaeng or known by his Islamic name as Sultan Adam. 2. The development of Islam began to spread to the XIII king who ruled, namely La Maddaremmeng or known as Muhammad Salih (1631-1640 AD). 3. The influence of Islam that emerged in the Bone community, namely, marriage, birth, and death. It is this religious tradition that gets the influence of Islamic teachings on the people of Bone.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of moral education in developing the personality of students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Parepare which focused on 1) the implementation of moral education in developing the personality of students; 2) contribution of moral education in developing the personality of students; and 3) supporting and inhibiting factors to the implementation of moral education in developing the personality of students. This type of research is qualitative. The source of the data came from respondents consisting of faith-moral (akidah akhlak) teachers and some students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Parepare. Data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Then analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that the implementation of moral education in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Parepare uses two forms of learning, namely classroom learning and learning outside the classroom. The contributions of moral education in developing the personality of students are 1) as a filter of negative influences from outside and 2) as fostering students’ faith and moral values so that they determine their attitudes and behavior. Supporting factors for the implementation of moral education in developing the personality of students in the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Parepare are 1) professional teaching staff; 2) good cooperation from all stakeholders; 3) facilities and infrastructure. The inhibiting factors are 1) lack of religious education in the family and attention from parents; 2) heterogeneity of environmental conditions of students; and 3) lack of awareness of students.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas prosesi mappasiarekeng yang khas dalam tradisi perkawinan masyarakat Bugis di Ajangale. Kajian ini bersifat kualitatif yang dipaparkan secara deskriptif analitis. Teknik pengumpulan data diawali dengan observasi, kemudian dilakukan pengamatan dan wawancara langsung kepada informan. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi prosesi mappasiarekeng dalam tradisi perkawinan masyarakat Bugis yang khas dilakukan di wilayah Ajangale Kabupaten Bone. Prosedur analisis dilakukan yakni diawali dengan memaping data, kemudian menafsirkan, dan menyajikannya hingga mencapai kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang dicapai menunjukkan bahwa, prosesi mappasiarekeng merupakan bahagian penting yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Bugis di Kecamatan Ajangale yang keberadaannya masih bertahan hingga dewasa kini. Prosesi mappasiarekeng merupakan sebagai bahagian dari tradisi perkawinan, yang dasarnya tidak diatur secara formal dalam syariat Islam. Namun, dalam tradisi suku Bugis di Ajangale kegiatan ini menjadi tahapan yang wajib dilaksanakan menurut adat-istiadat masyarakat. Adapun fungsi mappasiarekeng bagi masyarakat Bugis di Ajangale yaitu memosisikannya sebagai tahap penguatan atas kesepakatan hal-hal yang telah diputuskan pada mappettuada (lamaran) yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya, mencakup: tanra esso (penentuan hari akad), dui menre’/dui balanca (uang belanja), sompa (mahar), dan hal-hal lainnya. Fungsi lain mappasiarekeng yaitu tercapainya mufakat, menciptakan suasana kekeluargaan, serta menciptakan rasa kebersamaan antara keluarga kedua belah pihak.

Abstract

The students’ low ability on mathematical literacy caused by teachers’ monotonous learning process and lack of students’ participation in teaching and learning process. This research aims to determine if Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) is able to improve students’ mathematical literacy ability more effectively than direct learning model. In addition, the researcher explores how gender affects the effectiveness of MMP. The gender contribution here is what the differences of male and female students’ mathematical literacy ability are. The approach used in this research is quantitative research and the method is quasi-experimental having design of non-equivalent controlled group design. There are 70 students of grade X as sample consisting 35 students in experimental classes and 35 students in controlled classes (simple random sampling technique). The data taken in this research through mathematical literacy written test as the instrument and documentation. The analysis technique used is a two-way analysis of variance. The research results shows that students who are taught using the MMP model have significant effect on mathematical literacy ability than the students who are taught using direct learning.  Female students’ mathematical literacy ability is better than the male students’ ability. There is a correlation between learning model and gender differences on mathematical literacy ability. Both male and female students’ mathematical literacy ability who are taught using MMP learning model is higher than male and female students’ ability who are taught using direct learning model Thus, MMP can be implemented as an alternative learning model to develop students' mathematical literacy ability. Kurangnya kemampuan literasi matematis dikarenakan oleh proses pembelajaran yang lebih monoton pada guru serta minimnya keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Studi ini untuk mengetahui apakah MMP (Missouri Mathematics Project) lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan literasi matematis daripada pembelajaran langsung. Selain itu, akan diekplorasi bagaimana gender mempengaruhi efektifitas MMP. Kontribusi gender yang dimaksud yaitu bagaimana perbedaan kemampuan literasi matematis antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quaisy experimental. Sebanyak 70 siswa kelas X yang dijadikan sebagai sampel yang terdiri dari 35 kelas eksperimen dan 35 kelas kontrol (teknik simple random sampling). Instrumen penelitian dilakukan melalui tes literasi matematis, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis varians dua jalur. Penelitian tersebut menemukan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran MMP memiliki literasi matematis lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran langsung. Kemampuan literasi matematis siswa perempuan lebih tinggi daripada laki-laki. Terdapat interaksi antara MMP dengan perbedaan gender terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis. Kemampuan literasi matematis siswa laki-laki yang menerapkan MMP lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang menerapkan pembelajaran langsung. Kemampuan literasi matematika siswa perempuan dengan menerapkan MMP lebih tinggi dibandingkan kemampuan siswa yang menerapkan pembelajaran langsung. Sehingga, MMP dapat dijadikan alternatif model pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu dapat mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan model Quantum pada hasil belajar matematika di SMP Negeri Pasang. Dengan menggunakan penelitian eksperimen dan desain one-group pretest-posttest design yang digunakan dalam metodologi penelitian kuantitatif penelitian ini. Dokumentasi observasi dan tes digunakan sebagai suatu metode dalam mengumpulkan data, analisis statistik deskriptif serta analisis statistik inferensial digunakan sebagai metode analisis data. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa dari jumlah sampel yaitu 31 di dapatkan nilai rata-rata pretest yaitu  44,58. Dua (2) orang peserta didik dalam kategori tuntas dengan presentase 6,45%. Pada data posttest menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata yang diproleh yaitu 76,39 dalam kategori tuntas sebanyak 30 peserta didik dengan presentase 96,77%. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa penerapan atau penggunaan model  Quantum Learning memiliki pengaruh untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Matematika pada peserta didik di kelas VII SMPN Pasang.
