Abstract

Accurate load forecasting becomes an important task for operating and planning of a power system to maintain the security of power supply dispatched to the consumers. This paper proposes an advanced method, namely Extreme Machine Learning (ELM), to forecast load in short time period. It is observed that implementation of the ELM can redu-ce cost and time significantly. Comparison results with a well known algorithm, called the Back Propagation (BP), show that the ELM can converge a hundred times faster than BP. In addition, the ELM needs 100 hidden neurons while the BP needs 2 hidden neurons to achieve similar result. This reveals that the number of hidden neurons is not a problem for ELM as long as there is sufficient memory to perform its computation.

Abstract

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Menghasilkan Media Praktik yang sesuai dengan Mata Kuliah Praktik Teknik; (2) Mengetahui kelayakan Media Praktik Teknik Digital pada Materi Gerbang Logika. Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan trainer teknik digital menggunakan metode ADDIE dengan tahapan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Uji kelayakan produk dilakukan oleh dua ahli materi pembelajaran dan dua ahli media pembelajaran (Expert Judgement). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dengan menggunakan skala likert untuk ahli. Teknik analisis data untuk kelayakan produk menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Media praktik yang dihasilkan berupa trainer yang terdiri dari 4 blok/area utama, yaitu blok input, blok output, blok development dan blok power, jobsheet yang terdiri dari materi praktik Gerbang Logika, yang berisi informasi mengenai panduan penggunaan dan perawatan trainer sudah sesuai dengan Mata Kuliah Praktik Teknik Digital; (2) Hasil uji unjuk kinerja sudah berfungsi dengan sangat baik dan stabil pada setiap bagian maupun secara keseluruhan; (3) Hasil uji kelayakan materi memperoleh persentase sebesar 80% dengan kategori “Layak”, hasil uji kelayakan media memperoleh persentase sebesar 98% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media praktik yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar pada mata kuliah praktik teknik digital.

Abstract

This Thematic Real Work Integrated with Community Service aims to increase the literacy of the people of Southeast Sulawesi regarding COVID-19 and how to mitigate it by using creative content media. This thematic program is one form of community service, so that its implementation follow the action research method with 5 (five) stages, i.e. (1) Diagnosis; (2) Planning; (3) Implementation; (4) Evaluation; and (5) Special learning. This thematic program was attended by 22 students under supervision of three field lecturers and lasted for 30 days online. During this program, more than 20 posters/e-cards and 30 videos have been produced. The content has been disseminated on various social media through the accounts of students and supervisors as well as other internet media. Based on the results of creative content in the form of posters, the public can improve their literacy on social and physical distancing as an effort to accelerate COVID-19 mitigation. Meanwhile, creative content in the form of videos can train the public on how to use and prepare their own hand sanitizer, masks, and PPE by utilizing materials found around them. Thus, it can be concluded that this thematic program has succeeded in providing guidance and debriefing to the people of Southeast Sulawesi as a mitigation effort against the COVID-19 outbreak.

Abstract

The number of positive cases of COVID-19 has continued to increase since it was announced by the Government in early March 2020. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the provision of hygiene and sanitation facilities is one of the most important means of mitigating the outbreak of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. This study aims to evaluate the socialization of assistance in making automatic handwashing devices online to communities in Southeast Sulawesi as an effort to mitigate COVID-19. The socialization was carried out by collaborating with the Southeast Sulawesi COVID-19 SATGAS Secretariat as a display location for a prototype automatic hand washing device. Meanwhile, assistance is carried out through the implementation of webinars via Zoom and the publication of video tutorials on social media in the form of YouTube and other media. The performance evaluation of the mentoring program is carried out in two forms, namely searches on online media and through online feedback presented after the webinar. Based on the response from online media and the feedback, the public responded positively to this and some of them were interested in making similar hand washing devices.

Abstract

The electricity system often experiences disturbances, especially short circuit disturbances on transmission lines. This short circuit disturbance is caused by various things such as lightning surges, fallen trees, animals, and other conditions. The interconnected Southeast Sulawesi power system cannot be separated from this short circuit problem. Therefore, determining the location of this short-circuit fault must be done quickly so that the cause of the disturbance can be immediately identified. This study aims to analyze the determination of the location of short circuit faults using the Takagi Method. Simulations were carried out using ETAP 16.0.0 software to see the condition of the Southeast Sulawesi system power flow. This Takagi method analyzes the location of the disturbance using the conditions before and after the disturbance occurs based on the recorded data at the substation. The results of the analysis carried out on the Southeast Sulawesi transmission line show that the percentage of accuracy in determining the location of a single-phase short-circuit fault to ground using the Takagi method is better, with a distance difference of 0.368-0.581 km (1.49%) when compared to the reading results on recordings of 10,173-9,960 km (31.58%) from the fault location occurred after inspection of the Lasusua-Kolaka transmission line. Disturbances on lines 1 and 2 Kolaka-Lasusua produce an error value of 1.533 km (9.24%) and 1.547 km (9.32%) when compared to fault locator readings of 3.212 km (19.36%) and 1.812 km ( 10.92%). Meanwhile, the Unaaha-Kolaka transmission line produces a distance difference of 0.709 km (3.29%) when compared to the fault locator reading of 4.323 km (20.12%). The results of the power flow simulation produce an installed generating capacity of 188 MW, a total active power of 116.780 MW and a reactive power of 29,944 Mvar. Thus, it can be concluded that the Takagi Method has a better accuracy value in reading fault locators.

Abstract

Stress is the body's response to stressors. One way to detect whether someone is experiencing stress is by using electronic devices. The purpose of this study is to design and evaluate the performance of stress detection systems in humans using the Internet of Things (IoT)-based Fuzzy Logic Method. The Fuzzy logic implemented in this system applies the Fuzzy Mamdani Rule with three input parameters sourced from the Galvanic Skin Response Sensor, Ear Clip Heart Rate Sensor and LM35DZ Sensor. In addition, this stress detection system utilizes two types of microcontrollers, i.e. Arduino Nano and Arduino Wemos. The output of this stress detection system is displayed on the liquid crystal display and can be accessed on android applications, providing easy access remotely and showing stress levels in a wider range. Based on the performance evaluation of the stress detection system when calibrated using Matlab Software, the obtained average error and accuracy rate are 7.5% and 92.5% respectively. Thus, this stress detection system has good accuracy and performance. Keyword — Mamdani Fuzzy Logic; Internet of Things; Microcontroller, Sensors, Stress.

Abstract

This paper analyses the estimation of electrical energy demand in the North Kolaka Regency for the next few years and also analyses the accuracy of the forecasts from the methods used. The forecast methods used are the DKL 3.2, linear regression methods, and LEAP software with a BAU (Base as Usual) scenario. According to the results of the forecast of electrical energy demand for the upcoming five years using the DKL 3.2 method, there are 192548.29 customers, 31120935.67 kWh of electrical energy consumed, and 236523.48 kVA of connected power, respectively. Using the linear regression method, there are 197753 customers, 22733920.50 kWh, and 235493.40 kVA while using LEAP software, there are 219831.60 customers, 15351429.26 kWh and 274379.50 kVA. While the results of the analysis of the accuracy of the forecast method based on the MAPE and MSE value for the number of customers and the predicted power connected are the DKL 3.2 method, while for the consumption of electrical energy using the linear regression method.

Abstract

Access to clean water and energy independence, which are part of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are still the main problems faced by the Pesantren Al-Munawwarah. Therefore, the Pesantren, in collaboration with the Green Society Partnership (GSP) team, which is part of the Community Partnership Program, has built a clean water treatment system integrated with solar photovoltaic (PV).  This paper aims to describe the community partnership program by improving the capacity building of Pesantren Al-Munawwarah residents to ensure sustainable management of the established water treatment facility. The capacity building method is delivered in the form of knowledge and skills transfer to the residents of Pesantren Al Munawwarah, i.e.: (1) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which is carried out before project commissioning; (2) Training on its operation and maintenance, carried out after project commissioning; (3) Providing tutorial video on the operation and maintenance of the clean water treatment system integrated with solar PV.  Based on the evaluation results, most trainees experienced increased knowledge and skills in managing the clean water treatment system integrated with solar PV. In addition, the trainees are satisfied with the capacity-building program implemented and hope that mentoring activities like this will continue to be carried out. --- Akses terhadap air bersih dan kemandirian energi yang merupakan bagian dari Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), masih menjadi masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh Pesantren Al-Munawwarah. Oleh karena itu, pihak Pesantren bekerja sama dengan Tim Green Society Partnership (GSP) yang merupakan bagian dari Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) telah membangun sistem pengolahan air bersih yang terintegrasi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). Paper ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan program Kemitraan masyarakat berupa peningkatan kapasitas warga Pondok Pesantren Al-Munawwarah untuk menjamin keberlangsungan pengelolaan fasilitas pengolahan air tersebut. Metode peningkatan kapasitas ini berupa transfer pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada warga Pesantren Al Munawwarah, yaitu: (1) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang dilaksanakan sebelum project commissioning; (2) Pelatihan tentang operasi dan pemeliharaannya yang dilaksanakan setelah project commissioning; (3) Penyediaan video tutorial tentang pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan Sistem Pengelolaan Air Bersih terintegrasi PLTS. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, mayoritas peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan serta keterampilan terkait pengelolaan fasilitas pengolahan air tersebut. Selain itu, peserta pelatihan puas dengan program peningkatan kapasitas yang dilaksanakan dan berharap kegiatan pendampingan seperti ini akan terus dilakukan.
