Abstract

Abstract

Kata Kunci : SIG, GPS, Tambak, Perikanan, Kota Semarang ABSTRACTThe embankment is one type of habitat that was used as a place for the cultivation of brackish water which is located in the coastal region. Embankment in Indonesia especially in Semarang City usually produce fishery products which have high economic value export oriented. High price products results of riparian fishery enough public interest to plunge in cultivation embankment. The spread of the embankment in the city of semarang is commonly found in the coastal area, a region bordering the sea. The number of farmed area from year to year is definitely changing. This is caused by several factors such as the opening of land farmed, abrasion, high tide, sea water diversion function of land farmed and other factors either natural or caused by humans. Then it is necessary to know the percentage of the amount of the spread of the embankment from year to year, with deployment of GIS.In the current study utilizes image data from landsat 8. The next step is to create a map of the spread of the Embankment by using GIS software namely ArcGIS. And then taken a point sample research, which provided the reference point control the whereabouts of the embankment. This research resulted in a distribution map of the location of the embankment and comparisons from the year 2000 by 2015, which is expected to help the Government town of Semarang or public who need to know the changes that occur in the above 2000-2015. And in the reference was made in a study. From the research that has been done can be drawn the conclusion that the widespread distribution of embakment from the year 2000 to the year 2015 is a pretty drastic decline. Of the total surface area of embankment in the city of Semarang in 2000 i.e. covering an area of 2,664.97 hectares. And by 2015 be 2,308.78 hectares. With such far-reaching changes distribution of embankment experience a decrease of about 356.19 hectares spread over several districts in the city of Semarang. Keyword : GIS, GPS, Embankment, Fisheries, Semarang City *) Penulis, Penanggung Jawab

Abstract

This study examines the role of women in transforming the Pemusiran Batik culture through a partnership with the private agency Petrochina Tanjung Jabung Jambi. The research uses the perspective of the diffusion of innovations Everett M. Rogers (1964) which explains that cultural transformation through the process of diffusion of innovation requires the role of actors as agents of change. This study uses an action research method in which the researcher together with the actor Suraedah as a female character, conducts an assessment and transforms the Pamusiran batik culture. The study was carried out for 4 months from January 1, 2021 to April 30, 2021. The study found that, as the earliest actor in adopting innovation, Suraedah played an important role in the transformation of the cultural innovation of Pemusiran batik. The transformation process occurs in the diffusion of innovations starting from: (1) studying innovations, adopting, and developing social networks through the "Batik Idola Group". This group in selecting partners uses the 5C criteria (Character, Capital, Capacity, Collateral, Condition) with several adjustments.

Abstract

According to Koentjaraningrat, culture has seven elements, one of which is the religious system (religion). The history of religion in Indonesia is also quite long, thus presenting several religions recognized by the state. The existence of recognition of religion by the state is evidence of the correlation between religion (religion) and society (people: adherents). Both of these things can be found in thechurch system, especially the church with the concept of ethnicity in it. How the church is no longer just a place to perform rites, but also as a means of a (religious)institution with a structured organization. The (religious) institution that is tribal inIndonesia is HKBP (Huria Kristen Batak Protestant), as a forum for the Batak community to carry out religious activities but still maintain their ancestral cultures. The movement of the Batak community is directly proportional to the spread of the presence of the HKBP Church outside the Batak lands, one of which is the West Semarang HKBP. The West Semarang HKBP for the congregation is not only a place of worship, but is the entrance, meeting and transmission of the Batak customsby the Toba Batak people who live in Semarang. The spread of HKBP does not occur in other tribal churches, it is a proof of the concept of integration of the Toba Batak culture which "does not forget the roots". These relationships have always been effective in strengthening unity and disseminating customs. This phenomenon occurred in HKBP when the Batak people felt that they had found a place to develop their cultural identity, when they were far from their hometowns.

Abstract

This article is result of action research about the Millennial Farmer and Non-state Actor in the Development of Liberica Coffee in West Tanjung Jabung Regency in Jambi Province. The research is aimed at revealing the role of younger generation farmers and the support of non-state actors in developing a coffee industry amid the decreasing number of coffee farmers in the area, where only 8 percent of them are millennials. The data collection was conducted from May to July 2021. The research uses Bourdieu theory (1993,1998) about farmer’s practice based on certain motivations and the involvement of other actors. Based on the theory and direct observation, the study reveals that coffee has become a part of millennial’s lifestyle. The growing trend on coffee consumption provides a moment for coffee farmers to improve their products. Sungai Terap Village, Betara District, consists of peatland area and used to be main liberica coffee producer. However, liberica coffee has become less favorite commodities compared to palm oil, coconut and betel nut. As the coffee has been back on trend, millennial farmer Muhammad Firdaus is committed to develop the coffee business. Supported by PetroChina International Jabung Ltd., an upstream oil and gas company, Firdaus vows to increase the economic potential behind coffee business in his hometown.

Abstract

Marriage is the dream of every couple, where marriage is one of the highest forms of commitment in every individual relationship that makes love. In practice marriage is the dream of every couple to continue to be together to build a household. However, the couple's desire now becomes complicated when the marriage is difficult because of different religious beliefs. The difficulty of the legality of interfaith marriages in Indonesia becomes a polemic of interfaith couples in carrying out their marriage legally in the state or religion or even opposition faced with the family. Given this interfaith marriage today is still intensively carried out even though in practice it is difficult to implement and many problems will arise in the future. Indonesia is indeed known as a multicultural nation where differences in culture and religion are inevitable, one of which is the phenomenon of interfaith marriages now that Indonesia has five legitimate religions and streams of belief that are still developing in modern society. The state agency appointed to legalize the holy marriage is still a long-standing polemic for some couples who want to formalize their marriage. However, because they want to keep each of their beliefs, the state fully regulates marriages that require couples to marry with the same beliefs and religions, whereas in practice citizens are free to make their own choices and have the right to be happy in determining their life choices, including in terms of marriage and determining their life partners each

Abstract

In the 21st century, the media is increasing rapidly and requires a specific response from anthropology studies. Not only does the media bring with implications for changes in the process of production and consumption of culture, but also changes to its viewpoint and approach. It's not enough if the media was studied only with a classical perspective that only positioned the media as a cultural communication agent, or otherwise the media is approached with the effects study. However, the media also needs to be recognized with a more progressive perspective that positions the media as an agency in cultural production practices. Based on the idea, this paper provides provocation through Amirudin's research (2016) which tried to present a new perspective in media studies
