Abstract

ABSTRACTAppropriate use of instructional materials in the learning process can improve the understanding, interest, and motivation of students to learn. Many things can teachers do to help students achieve better learning outcomes, one of them by developing teaching materials of interest. Handout that based image is one of the teaching materials to enable students to understand the biology material. This research aims is to produce valid Handout that based image on the material and practical human respiratory system for SMP. This research is a development by using the 4-D model of the development comprising the steps of define, design, develop and disseminate. Phase disseminate not done due to limited funds and time that the author had. The results of this development is to produce a handout with a picture-based criteria are very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Epilitic algae is part of a group microperifitic algae that lives attached to the substrate (stone,coral, gravel and other hard objects). Solok Regency has Talang Mount with the beautifulnatural that can be enjoyed, this place also has a hot water source in Bukik Gadang, NagariKoto Anau, Lembang Jaya District, Solok Regency which is believed has a power to heal ortreat and as a tourism object. The temperature of hot water is about 39 – 45 ºC. The researchof epilitic algae in Bukik Gadang hot spring, Lembang Jaya District, Solok Regency in haddone Desember 2012 – Maret 2013. The purpose of this research to know the variety ofepilitic algae at different temperatures. This research has done by using a descriptive surveymethod with determining three station based on the different temperatures and sampling wasdone by purposive sampling at each station were taken three points. This research found 17species of epilitic algae consist of two classes of Bacillariophyceae and Cyanophyceae. Theclass Bacillariophyceae found 9 species and class Cyanophyceae 8 species that live attemperatures of 39 – 45 ºC, pH 7,01 – 7,50, dissolved oxygen 1,44 – 3,96 mg/l, the sulfurcontent from 0,089 – 0,105 mg/l.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSTH worm infection is more commonly infects children, especially school age, because at the age of school children are actively playing in soil contaminated by feces and lack of attention to personal hygiene.The experiment was conducted in June 2013. The method used in this study is a descriptive survey method. The population in this study were all students of SD Muhammadiyah Surau Gadang 76 people students. Sampling was done by total sampling by many students who collected the sample of 72 students. Examination of a stool sample done at the Laboratory of Biology Education Program STKIP PGRI  Sumatera Barat using the direct method.The study of elementary students Muhammadiyah Surau Gadang District Nanggalo Padang showed that 62.5% were infected with STH 45 students and are not infected with STH 37.5%. Frequency of STH infections in Muhammadiyah Surau Gadang elementary school students found 37.5% of species Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura 19.4%, Hookworm (Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale) 5.4%. The highest frequency of STH species found in SD Muhammadiyah students Surau Gadang is Ascaris lumbricoides.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to know relation of indicator, learning objectives, material and evaluation in lesson plan biology of state and private senior high school teachers in Padang. This research was a descriptive research. The research population was lesson plan that designed by state and private senior high school teachers in Padang teach at first semester of first grade,  academic year 2012/2013 amount sixteen lesson plan of state senior high school and thirty two lesson plan of private senior high school. The result of this research showed teachers lesson plan in completed criteria component of lesson plan which made by teacher state and private senior high school in Padang is 91,15% in good category. Percentage result of relation of indicator, learning objectives, material and evaluation overall is 76% with relation category that good enough.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Lesson Plan (RPP) is essentially a short-term plan for estimating or projecting what will be done in learning process. However, those found in the field that the teacher lesson plan created by the lack of in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. For the analysis of the RPP semester II of eleventh grade biology teacher at SMAN Pariaman using RPP assessment instruments that have been developed from the IPKG-1. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the lesson plan created by the teacher in class XI of semester II SMAN in Pariaman is in conformity with the standards IPKG-1 which has been developed. This research is a descriptive study. Sampling technique in this study was stratified random sampling method is random based strata. Samples taken are 4 schools and one teacher of biology class XI of SMAN sampled. Sampling technique teacher is simple random sampling. The  sampled  schools  were  SMAN  1,  2,  3  and  4  Pariaman.  Analytical  results  for  the percentage of RPP assessment instrument for Pariaman is enough standard with a value percentage 63,  3%  while the results  of the  analysis  for completeness  percentage is  less standard components of RPP with percentage value of existing components is 55, 75% and the another percentage of components is not that is 44, 25%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBiology consists of many  concepts so students are required to understand the concept-the concept of biology. To facilitate and direct the students will need for media/ learning device that can help students in understanding the concepts-concepts of biology, one of the worksheets, after the observation, students learn biology MAN 1 Padang using student activity sheet (LKS) were purchased in the market. In the opinion of same student look unattractive LKS, the image is not clear and colorless. Authors had expected this led to student motivation ang learning outcomes to be low, it is therefore necessary to develop worksheets that students are expected to be able to motivate and anable students to master or understand the biology of learning materials. Type of research is the development ( development research) with procedural model. Developed using 4-D models that been modified , define ( definition ), design ( design), develop ( development). Based on the results of the validity and practicalities LKS vaid and practical categories.

Abstract

ABSTRACTProfessional teachers are teachers who are able to develop learning tools such as the annual program, the semester program, syllabus and lesson plan (RPP). In this case the teachers are required to prove their professionalism to design the lesson plans. However, in general classroom teachers state high schools in district XI Sijunjung make lesson plan indicators relate to each other without regard to the purpose of learning. This study aims to find out standardization lesson plan made by biology teacher Class XI Semester II state high schools in district Sijunjung. This research is a descriptive study, with a view component completeness lesson plan and lesson plan analyze the relationship between the components. Samples taken by stratified random sampling. Of this study showed that in terms of the completeness of components obtained an average RPP for completeness existing lesson plan component is 63.13% with enough standard criteria,  and 36.87% were not there with not standard criteria, and the average RPP made by high school biology teacher in class XI country in the district is 65.125% Sijunjung with fairly standard criteria. From the analysis it can be concluded that the lesson plans created by teachers biology classes in the District XI State high schools Sijunjung enough standard.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Module is the smallest unit learning program that systematically arranged, it can used by students independently without guidance of a teacher. The purpose of this study is to produce a module with concept map. The types concept map is spyder concept map. The subject of this research is Human Musculoscleton System for class VIII SMP. This was a developmental research with a prodecural model. Models and procedure of development was develop with 4-d model, but for something reason this research just done on develop phase. Phases are define, design and develop. This research has been implemented and tested on July 29, 2013 by two teachers and 20 students of class IX SMPN1 Ranah Batahan. The results of this study is module with spyder concept map on the subject of Human Musculoscleton System average validity of modules was 83% and practicality of modul was 85%. Based on the results, this research can be concluded that the development of modules based with spyder concept map of material in human musculoscleton system development subject is valid and practical.

Abstract

ABSTRACTStudent Work Sheet (LKS) is a sheet contains work to be done by students. Sheet sare typically in the form of instructions, the steps to complete at ask and the task to be performed. LKS is a contextual-based instructional materials created as a guide in conducting  learning, where work sheet sare presented leading todaily life so that the students are able to connect the material they learn to real world situations and encourage them to use it ineveryday life.This type of research is the development of research by using 4-D models that consists of 4 stages, define, design, develop and disseminate. At this stage of develop test the validity and practicalities. These data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. LKS validity test results from didactic aspects, technical construction and the validator shows that LKS produced valid with a value 88.8%. LKS practicalities of test results from the aspects of ease of use, the benefits, and time efficiency of learning by teachers and students indicate that the resulting practical worksheets to the value of 84.09%. This suggests that from this research has generated worksheets based contextual on the material digestive system is valid and practical.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Lesson Plan (RPP) serves to streamline the learning process. To achieve that all teachers are expected to design a lesson plan (RPP) in accordance with the standards of Teacher Performance Assessment Instrument (IPKG). But in fact reality is just copying the teacher lesson in fact. The Teacher just coppied RPP from the old (KKG). RPP should fits with the character of local learners and RPP each semester has not been revised  in accordence with the derelopment of science and tecnology. Therefore conducted an analysis of the RPP. The purpose of this rosgarel is to deternine the standarized lesson plans that mode by state high scool teachers. This research is descriptive wich collects RPP that made from state high shcool teachers in Padang city. Sampling technique is Stratified Random Sampling. Based on the research results obtained on the completeness of the components that is with an average of 67 % and that there are no 33 % and the results of the analysis of assessment instruments in the RPP desert city with an average value of 70 % with a fairly standard criteria. From the analysis and completeness of the components can be concluded that the RPP in the city of Padang has a fairly standard criteria .Â
