Abstract

This paper used the method of librarian research and aims to reveal the companions of his history: the study of personal qualities and intellectual capacities (dlabit-an and 'Adalat al-Shahabah) In the hadith, it is explained about the urgency of friends in relation to the series transmission of hadith. Which, friends have an important role in the effort to transfer the religious information in the next period, so it can be said, without friends, the religious information will not reach the next period, even today. In this study concluded that there are two great views in the transmission of hadith. The first assumes that companions have a very qualified personal qualities that can not be doubted by anything. While the second, the classification and clarifying  level of personal quality of friends affected by many factors. The quality of the traditions narrated by the Companions is not merely a matter of personal quality ('just), but the personal capacity (dhabith) of a transmitter becomes something very urgent for the implementation of a true and responsible doctrine.

Abstract

The term "infidel" by non-Muslim groups to incite discriminatory sentiments is a contemporary societal problem. Unbelievers and their levels have already been treated in the Qur'an. Thus, a more appropriate method is required to comprehend the term thoroughly. This method employs a qualitative paradigm, in which the researcher attempts to investigate several factors (1). The word "infidel" has many meanings (2). The ramifications in the context of Indonesia. Based on the Rules or Method of Tafsir agreed upon by the scholars and incorporated in Quraish Shihab's Tafsir Al-misbah, this article seeks to restore the word infidel. The findings show that non-Muslims understand the word infidel in Tafsir Al-Misbah in a variety of ways, including (1) not believing in the genuine religion (2) distrusting the prophet (3) denying God's benefits (4) leaving religious guidance even if you have faith (5) breaking away, and so on.

Abstract

The interest in memorizing al-Qur'an using the Finger Qur'an method at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School shows a significant increase every year. At the same time, the number of teachers of al-Qur'an is not proportional to the number of students who are always increasing. Therefore, this community service is carried out to achieve the ideal ratio of the number of teachers to students, as well as to create a new trainer regeneration every year. This community service program is carried out in two ways, first is the provision of material to teachers and second is assistance in implementing the finger quran method to students. The results of this community service program show that the regeneration of the finger-Quran method teaching staff must be carried out throughout the year. This is due to two things, first, the increasing number of al-Qur'an memorizers every year at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, Probolinggo; second, there are a number of trainers who have left the pesantren. Through this training and mentoring, the ratio of the number of trainers is balanced and the regeneration process is maintained.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah cara untuk mencerdaskan dan menyadarkan masyarakat untuk dapat hidup lebih baik. Pendidikan Islam berusaha mendidik individu mukmin agar tunduk, bertaqwa, dan beribadah dengan baik kepada Allah, sehingga memperoleh kebahagiaan di dunia dan akhirat. Perubahan yang diusahakan dalam proses pendidikan untuk menyampaikan,  baik dalam tingkah laku individu, sekolah dan masyarakat. Pendidikan Islam diadakan tidak lain untuk penyempurnaan akal dan jasmani. Allah memberikan kepada manusia sesuatu kelebihan yang tidak diberikan kepada orang lain. Manusia mempunyai suatu akal yang dapat digunakan untuk berpikir, bagaimana melestarikan alam dan lingkungan, bagaimana membantu individu yang mengalami masalah. Perkembangan zaman membuat tantangan hidup semakin kompleks. Individu harus memiliki pengetahuan, pengalaman dan mental kuat untuk menjalani kehidupan untuk lebih baik. Pendidikan yang ideal adalah yang memerhatikan dimensi realitas, kapasitas, potensi fisik, intelektual dan spiritual dari individu yang seimbang dalam mendapatkan pengetahuan dari  guru, lingkungan sekolah dan kesiapan mental individu. Masyarakat yang berkemampuan adalah masyarakat akademis dan profesional yang dapat menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan kesenian yang merupakan kebutuhan zaman Education is the way to educate and sensitize the public to be able to live better. Islamic Education seeks to educate the individual believer to be submissive, devoted, and pray well to God, so as to obtain happiness in this world and hereafter. Changes sought in the educational process to deliver, both in the behavior of individuals, schools and communities. Islamic education are held in another refinement of mind and the body. God gave man something advantages not given to others. Humans have a mind that can be used to think, how to preserve nature and the environment, how to help people who are having problems. The times make life increasingly complex challenges. Individuals must have the knowledge, experience and the mental strength to live a life for the better. The ideal education is noticed dimension of reality, the capacity, the potential for physical, intellectual and spiritual balance of the individual to obtain knowledge from the teacher, the school environment and an individual's mental readiness. People who are capable of academic and professional communities who can apply science, technology and art is a necessity of the times

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the relationship between faith and tolerance in the film One Amen Two Faith, an example that the relationship between religion and tolerance plays a vital role in this millennial era, by using qualitative research methods that describe in-depth by watching the film by analyzing the sources which will later be analyzed by studying the living Qur'an. The results of the research on the film one amen, two faiths present the closeness of the relationship between religion and tolerance; several thoughts describe mutual respect, respect, and unity in differences, especially differences in beliefs, so that a series of things can be contemplated and learned from. This research implies the importance of implementing Islamic values in interacting with fellow human beings who have different religious, social, and cultural backgrounds to create benefits for all.

Abstract

This article aims to figure out Indonesian commentators perspectives on the position of women in the domestic and public sphere. This research comes from the question; Has the patriarchal identity that existed in Indonesia influenced Indonesian commentators perspectives in interpreting the Koran?  And what is Indonesian commentators perspective on women’s leadership in the public sphere? With the literary method and critical analysis of their works, tafsīr al-Misbah, Tafsīr al-Azhar, and Tafsīr Marāh} Labīd, this research resulted in the following findings and conclusions. First, in essence, the three Indonesian commentators did not give permission to women to become leaders in the household, even they have different reasons. Nawāwī al-Bantānī considers men to be leaders for their wives, because men has the potential to educate them, has intellectual and physical strength. Hamka gave consideration to Indonesian traditions and culture. Meanwhile, Quraish Shihab argues that a man is the leader over his wife because of the psychological and character considerations of men who are more assertive. Second, regarding women’s leadership in the public sphere, Quraish Shihab and Hamka allow women to become leaders for men as long as they have sufficient criteria. Meanwhile al-Nawāwī did not provide a clear explanation of the status of women’s leadership in the public sphere. The findings in this study also confirm that, in addressing the problem of women, the Indonesian commentators has a paradigm shift from time to time, this is due to sociological factors and conditions surrounding the interpreter.
