Abstract

Abstract —General physics is one of the subjects that is considered difficult by students. This is because General Physics requires complex mathematics, too much material, textbook dependent, abstract and complex. One of the learning media that is seen as helping and facilitating students in learning physics science is Augmented reality. This study used a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) method. This study involved all students who took general physics courses at the Indonesian educational institute. The subjects in this study were selected using purposive sampling. The results showed that overall problem solving learning assisted with augmented reality received a good response from students with a score of 84% in the Very Good category. This shows that the AR-assisted problem solving learning has a major effect on the heat transfer material so that it increases students' understanding of the concept. Keywords— Augmented Reality, understanding of the concept, Abstrak —Fisika umum merupakan salah satu matakuliah yang dianggap sulit oleh mahasiswa. Hal ini dikarenakan Fisika Umum membutuhkan matematika yang rumit, materi yang terlalu banyak, bergantung pada buku teks, abstrak dan kompleks. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dipandang dapat membantu dan memfasilitasi untuk memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mempelajari sains fisika adalah Augmented reality . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu). Penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Fisika umum di institut pendidikan indonesia. Subjek dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan menggunakan puposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran problem solving berbantuan Augmented reality secara keseluruhan mendapatkan respon yang baik dari siswi-siswi dengan perolehan nilai yaitu 84% dengan kategori Baik Sekali. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Pembelajaran Problem solving berbantuan AR berpengaruh besar terhadap Materi perpindahan kalor sehingga mengalami peningkatan Pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Kata Kunci— Augmented Reality, pemahaman konsep,

Abstract

This study aims to examine the increase in students’ understanding of the optical geometry concept after being given treatment using the discovery learning model assisted by PhET simulation media and to test the effectiveness of this learning model to improve understanding of the optical geometry concepts. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental and uses the research design The Static Group Pretest-Post-test Design. The sampling technique in this study was taken using purposive sampling, namely where the control and experimental classes were selected based on the suitability of the student’s character with the researcher’s goals. Each experimental and control group consisted of 35 participants. The experimental class used the discovery learning model assisted by PhET simulation media and the control class uses the conventional learning model. The instrument in this study was using a multiple-choice test of 20 questions. Based on the test results of the Independent Sample Test, it obtained a significance value (α = 0.0001 < 0.05), which means that there is a difference in increasing understanding of the optical geometry concept between classes using the discovery Learning model assisted by PhET simulation media using the learning model conventional.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide skills for physics teachers in Garut district to create STEM-based learning. Through good and proper learning, the delivery of material can be better absorbed by students. So that later students are expected to be easier to understand the concepts. The dedication activity consisted of two stages, the first stage of the socialization and the second phase of training. Socialization and training were followed by MA Physics teachers in Cibatu sub-district. The training material is training on STEM Education, the selection of STEM-based learning models, and assistance in making STEM-based media. The results showed that community service went well and smoothly. Based on the results of the questionnaire as a whole the teachers responded positively related to the implementation of this training. The teacher seemed very enthusiastic in listening to the explanation and practicing what the resource person said. In addition, the teachers stated that through the training, they gained a lot of benefits related to the addition of knowledge about learning alternatives that could be applied in Physics learning, even they felt an increase in creativity in making STEM-based learning and learning media. The obstacles that arise at this stage of the training are the problems of time that are felt to be lacking for training, therefore they give advice to hold ongoing training related to STEM learning.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi pada saat pembelajaran akan menyebabkan rendahnya keaktifan siswa di dalam kelas serta kurangnya berpikir kritis hal tersebut juga akan berpengaruh pada kreativitas siswa, sehingga diperlukan sesuatu yang mampu mencegah hal tersebut. Yaitu model pembelajaran RADEC yang dapat membuat iklim kolaboratif ketika pembelajaran berlangsung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Batujajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen dengan tipe Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dari 32 sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Batujajar. Untuk teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling sehingga dipilih SD Negeri 3 Batujajar dengan kelas IV B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa. Uji paired sample t test, uji N-Gain, dan uji effect size digunakan untuk menilai hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. hasil menunjukan bahwa, (1) Model RADEC memberikan pengaruh pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa, (2) Ditemukan perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran model RADEC dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, (3) Model pembelajaran RADEC memberikan pengaruh yang sangat kuat terhadap kreativitas siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The use of learning media-based Augmented Reality (AR) to improving integrated science and social studies literacy. This study aimed to explore the use of learning media-based Augmented Reality to enhance integrated science and social studies literacy in primary school. AR-based learning media was integrated into the IPAS subject. The participants in this study were 48 fifth-grade students from elementary schools, divided into experimental (24 students) and control groups (24 students). Each class employed a cooperative learning approach, with students in the experimental groups engaged in using AR-based learning media to support their learning process. The research method used was non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The instruments used to test literacy skills (both pretest and posttest) consisted of 5 items. The results indicate a significant difference in the enhancement of students’ literacy skills in the experimental groups compared to the control group. This suggests that the use of the AR-based learning approach enhanced students’ literacy skills in the context of the IPAS subject. Keywords: ar learning media, ipas learning, science literacy, social studies literacy. Abstrak: Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) untuk meningkatkan literasi IPA dan IPS terpadu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality untuk meningkatkan literasi IPA dan IPS terpadu (IPAS) di sekolah dasar. Media pembelajaran berbasis AR diintegrasikan ke dalam mata pelajaran IPAS. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar yang berjumlah 48 orang, dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen (24 siswa) dan kelompok kontrol (24 siswa). Setiap kelas menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran kooperatif, dimana siswa pada kelompok eksperimen diikutsertakan dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis AR untuk mendukung proses pembelajarannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk tes kemampuan literasi (baik pretest maupun posttest) terdiri dari 5 item. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan peningkatan kemampuan literasi siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis AR meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa dalam konteks mata pelajaran IPAS. Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran AR, pembelajaran IPAS, literasi sains, literasi social.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i3.202328
