Abstract

This research is proposed to describe and explain; (1) the themes in folktale Kalantika, (2) the cultural features in activities of folktale’s figure Kalantika, (3) the cultural result in folktale Kalantika, (4) the education value in set of folktale Kalantika,(5)  the relevance of set of folktale Kalantika with learning in Junior High School. This research used descriptive qualitative method with literary anthropology approach. Sampling technique that used in this research is purposive sampling. Collecting data technique use document analysis and interview. To validity the data, it uses triangulation of source. Data analysis technique in this research uses interactive analysis techniques. The results of this research shows that: (1) the themes of a set of folktale Kalantika were ideas about the human view of universe and knowledge system; (2) the cultural characteristic in activities of folktale’s figure Kalantika were activities about equipment of human life, livelihood system, and knowledge system; (3) the cultural result of set of folktale Kalantika that can be find are the cultural result in the form of livelihood system and economy system, and knowledge system also; (4) education value that can be find are moral value, social value, religion value, and culture value; (5) Kalantika can be some teaching materials in literary learning of Junior High School.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain: (1) The structure of Kuntowijoyo's novel Wasripin and Satinah, (2) The value of character education contained in Kuntowijoyo's Wasripin and Satinah novel, (3) Relevance of structural review and educational values character of  novel Wasripin and Satinah as a literary material in high school. This form of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data sources of this research are novel and informants. Technique of taking research subject is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used is technique read dan write dan interviews. Test the validity of data using triangulation of data sources and theory. Data analysis technique used is flow analysis technique. Based on the data analysis, the results of the research conclude as follows: (1) the structure of Wasripin and Satinah novels by Kuntowijoyo covering themes, plot, characterization and character, interrelated background and point of view (2) character education values contained in novel Wasripin and Satinah is 15, that is religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, love homeland, friendship / communicative, peace loving, caring environment, social care and responsibility, (3) Wasripin and Satinah novels are relevant as literary teaching materials in high school because they meet the eligibility criteria of non-text book personality aspects of the material and presentation of the material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) jenis gaya bahasa; (2) jenis nilai moral; dan (3) relevansi hasil temuan kumpulan puisi Ayat-Ayat Api karya Sapardi Djoko Damono sebagai bahan ajar sastra di sekolah menengah atas.  Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendeketan stilistika. Sumber data penelitian yang dilakukan ini adalah dokumen jenis gaya bahasa dan nilai moral dalam kumpulan puisi Ayat-Ayat Api karya Sapardi Djoko Damono, serta informan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Peneliti menggunakan triangulasi teori dan sumber data sebagai uji validitas data. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, terdapat 123 jenis gaya bahasa yang meliputi 34 gaya bahasa personifikasi, 32 gaya bahasa aliterasi, 21 gaya bahasa metafora, dan 14 gaya bahasa hiperbola. Kedua, terdapat 26 bentuk nilai moral yang berupa 11 aspek nilai berkata jujur, 7 aspek berbuat benar, 7 aspek berani, dan 1 aspek berlaku adil. Ketiga, hasil temuan kumpulan puisi Ayat-Ayat Api karya Sapardi Djoko Damono ini relevan dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMA khususnya kelas X pada KD 3.17 tentang menganalisis unsur pembangun puisi.

Abstract

This Analysis explain and describe 1) the form of politeness and impoliteness of language in Indonesian Language learning activities in SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak, 2) language politeness markers that exist in the form of speech acts in learning Indonesian in SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak, 3) Marks of language disloyalty in Indonesian language learning in SMP Muhammadiyah  Gatak. and (4) the causes of violations of the politeness of language principles in speech acts during Indonesian Language learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with source data from act of speech that occurred during the Indonesian language learning took place SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak, Sukoharjo. Sampling technique of this research using purposive sampling. Technique of data validity test that used is triangulation data source and triangulation theory.The results of this research are 1) 296 politeness speeches found, obey the taxt maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim, 2) 48 disloyalty speeches found, breaking taxt maxim, generosity maxim, and modesty maxim, 3) Marks of politeness found that ask and appeal to partner of speak without coercion and not offensive; beg the partner of speak without coercion and not offensive; also has responded positively to the partner of speak; 4) Marks of disloyalty found that critizing by using negatif diction intonation and unable to control emotions; opinion with an offensive opinion to partner of speak; and also cut off tge conversation with partner of speak.

Abstract

This Analysis explain and describe: (1) the forms of deixis contained in the editorial of Solopos edition 2017; (2) the use of the deixis function in the editorial of Solopos edition 2017; (3) its relevance as teaching material of editorial text in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with source data derived from editorial paper Solopos Edition 2017. Sampling technique of this research using purposive sampling and using document analysis and interview. Technique of data validity test that used is triangulation theory. The results of this research are 1) found 5 deixis form namely, deixis persona, deixis place/ space, deixis time, deixis discourse, and social deixis; 2) Based on the analysis found the functions of the use of deixis at Solopos Editorial Edition 2017 a) the function deiksis persona, b) The deixis function of place, c) The time dextis function, d) the function of the discourse of discourse, e) the social deixis function; 3) The Editor's editorial in the 2017 edition of Solopos matching with the criteria as teaching material for editorial texts in high school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structural error of the text and language of the observation report of the seventh grade students of SMP Kristen 1 Surakarta. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample of observational reports from students of SMP Kristen 1 Surakarta. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling.Data collection techniques used were document analysis and in-depth interviews. The analysis technique used is flow analysis because the data analyzed is unchanging, which includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. The conclusions of this study are as follows. The first mistakes found in student corals include text structure errors, paragraph errors, sentence errors, word choice errors, and spelling mistakes. The two errors that occur in the student observation report are due to several factors including: lack of writing practice, lack of interest in reading, lack of understanding of the rules of writing in Indonesian.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the grammatical aspects contained in Tere Liye's novel "Rain" and (2) the grammatical aspect of Tere Liye's novel "Rain" which can be used as a learning material in High School XII class. This research includes qualitative research with the main data source is Tere Liye's novel "Rain" by 2017. The characteristic of the novel "Rain" is simple, both simple in the use of language, and simple in the story presented. Sampling technique of this research using purposive sampling. Data analysis technique used is discourse analysis model according to text and context. The results of this study indicate that Tere Liye's novel "Rain" uses the appropriate grammatical aspects so as to form a unified discourse. Grammatical aspects used include references, substitutions, ellipsis and conjunctions. The discourse of "Rain" by Tere Liye has relevance as a novel teaching material at High School because the discourse is presented in simple language and featuring a light storyline.
