Abstract

The phenomenon of post-truth appears, in which a view believed to be true is inverted and made contradictory as a new form of truth. This phenomenon appears to occur in several countries such as the United States, North Korea, the Philippines and also Indonesia. This can be seen from various actions carried out by radical organizations that question the values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika with the desire to change these values by referring to religious values. This activity is increasingly growing in terms of followers, and further builds up on the blasphemy case accusations towards former Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.This research focuses on how the social media has an influence in expanding the spread of hoaxes and hate speech as an effort to destabilize the values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Information and data were obtained from interviews with mass organizations often labeled radical, non-governmental organizations and social observers.The results of this study confirm the need for capacity building both in the form of media literacy and also the socialization of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika values through social institutions and the Government. This is intended to create strong social capital, especially in fostering a sense of trust in the context of a pluralist society in Indonesia.Keywords: Post truth, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Social Media, Social Capital, Trust.

Abstract

Maraknya bisnis e-commerce yang ada di Indonesia tidak terlepas dari semakin banyaknya penggunaan layanan digital online pada masyarakat.Hal ini mendorong perusahaan-perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang e-commerce berkompetisi untuk memberikan pelayanan online yang terbaik bagi para pelanggan dan penggunanya.Mulai dari layanan transaksi pembayaran terhadap penjualan produk hingga yang terbaru adalah layanan pembayaran tagihan. Namun demikian layanan yang terakhir ini nampaknya masih jarang digunakan oleh para pelanggan karena belum adanya kepercayaan yang tumbuh dalam konteks hubungan antara pelanggan dengan perusahaan penyedia jasa layanan. Tokopedia merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang sedang berupaya untuk menanamkan kepercayaan kepada para pelanggannya untuk mau melakukan transaksi pembayaran tagihan melalui online.Oleh karenanya, studi ini mencoba memberikan gambaran tentang strategi yang dilakukan oleh Tokopedia untuk membangun hubungan dengan para pelanggannya menyangkut penggunaan transaksi layanan pembayaran tagihan. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan Tokopedia sebagai unit analisa. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap satu orang key informant dan dua orang informant yang mewakili Tokopedia.

Abstract

Kraton Ngiyom is a non-profit organization that focuses on environmental preservation. To overcome the environmental problems in the villages of Sekaralas and Sekarputih, Ngawi, East Java, especially regarding the condition of damage to the forest area and both springs in the village area, Kraton Ngiyom uses communication strategies based on local wisdom by utilizing mythologically oriented instrument and ceremonies as a medium of communication to encourage the public to care and actively contribute in carrying out environmental preservation activities. This study aims to answer the research question of how the Kraton Ngiyom uses myth and rituals as communication strategies for environmental conservation in the villages of Sekaralas and Sekarputih. This study employs an ethnographic study approach. Data collection was carried out using direct observation and in-depth interviews with five informants. The results of this study found that the communication strategies based on local wisdom are well implemented by Kraton Ngiyom through 2 instruments, namely myths and rituals. The myth is used by Kraton Ngiyom to deliver environmental preservation messages to the people of Sekaralas and Sekarputih villages, while the rituals are used by Kraton Ngiyom as instruments to support the delivery of messages, which is to encourage changes in village community behavior. The process of delivering messages through myths, which was maximized in the implementation of a ceremony, succeeded in changing the behavior of Sekaralas and Sekarputih villagers to become more concerned about their environmental conditions and to take initiatives in undertaking environmental conservation efforts.

Abstract

The regional elections (Pilkada) of 2020 have been concluded, and could be considered a success. Yet, its implementation cannot be said to be entirely successful, considering the lack of concern of political parties in helping the Government handle the Covid-19 pandemic through their political campaigns.  This study intends to discuss political communication carried out by political parties in an effort to raise awareness of preventing the spread of Covid-19 to the public during the 2020 Pilkada in Indonesia. The approach taken is qualitative, collecting data through in-depth interviews, with the subjects comprising of representatives of political parties and political communication experts.  The study finds that the bulk of the political campaigns carried out by political parties is focused on winning the elections, rather than on efforts to help deal with Covid-19. Community involvement also tends to be low in the 2020 elections, due to a lack of understanding of digital literacy and reluctance to vote due to a lack of understanding of health protocols.Keywords: health protocols; regional elections; community involvement.

Abstract

Didi Kempot merupakan penyanyi Indonesia yang dikenal pada tahun 1990an hingga tahun 2000an yang mana beliau dikenal di masyarakat dengan lagu bahasa Jawanya. Tahun 2019 menjadi tahun kebangkitan popularitas Didi Kempot yang sempat redup. Istilah ambyar juga ikut terkenal dikalangan penggemar Didi Kempot bahkan para penggemarnya membentuk komunitas dengan nama Sobat Ambyar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana konstruksi makna ambyar sebagai identitas dari komunitas Sobat Ambyar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan data primer, yaitu wawancara dan observasi partisipan, serta data sekunder berupa studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan kepada 5 informan yang merupakan bagian dari manajemen Didi Kempot dan anggota dari Komunitas Sobat Ambyar Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ambyar adalah istilah yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkan perasaan patah hati yang dikaitkan dengan lirik lagu Didi Kempot yang sebagian besar tentang patah hati. Tetapi, ambyar juga dapat merepresentasikan perasaan bahagia. Kata kunci: Konstruksi Makna, Identitas, Komunitas, Sobat Ambyar

Abstract

Teachers can address the global demand for technology-based teaching and learning tools and equipment to replace traditional teaching techniques by integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In Indonesia, information, and communication technology (ICT) is regarded as one of the most critical components in the country's future development and success. As part of the present teaching blueprint, the Ministry of Education has embraced technology-based education and learning in its national curriculum (2013-2025). The goal of this study was to find out what teachers thought about the value of ICT integration in aiding the alpha generation's education and learning process. A survey was given to 107 Tangerang private school teachers at random. We used SPSS (version 26) to analyze the data from this quantitative study for descriptive and inference statistics. The findings of this study show that integrating ICT is beneficial to both teachers and students. According to the findings, adequate teacher preparation with ICT tools and equipment is one of the most critical elements for the efficacy of technology-based education and learning. In this study, we also discovered that teacher continuing education programs have a significant impact on increasing student learning quality. Other aspects of ICT integration need to be considered in future studies, especially from a management perspective, in terms of strategic planning and policy making for alpha generation students.

Abstract

Asuransi jiwa penting karena menawarkan perlindungan untuk mengurangi risiko bagi pemegang polis. Industri asuransi jiwa di Indonesia memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan dalam industri keuangan Indonesia meskipun mengalami fenomena tingkat penetrasi yang rendah, literasi yang buruk, perlindungan konsumen dan praktik misselling. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus melalui serangkaian wawancara mendalam pada beberapa perusahaan asuransi jiwa dengan mengeksplorasi pengamalam transformasi digital mereka. Kajian ini mengeksplorasi kondisi eksisting perusahaan asuransi jiwa Indonesia dalam mengembangkan kapabilitas dinamis berbasis digital serta kapabilitas transformasional penyediaan layanan dalam menciptakan SCA digital untuk bertahan di industri asuransi jiwa Indonesia. Studi ini mengidentifikasi dan membahas tiga tema utama yang terdiri dari pengembangan perjalanan pelanggan yang tepat, mendapatkan kepercayaan, dan tantangan utama sebagai faktor kunci keberhasilan dalam mengembangkan dan menggunakan kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian ini menghasilkan tiga proposisi dan menyarankan studi eksplanatori lebih lanjut untuk mengkaji proposisi-proposisi tersebut. Life insurance is important as it offers protection to mitigate risks for the policyholders. Life insurance industry in Indonesia has a significant contribution in Indonesia financial industry although it experiences phenomena of low penetration rate, poor literacy, consumer protection and misselling practices. This study used case study approach through series of deep dive interviews with selected life insurance companies exploring their digital transformation experiences. This study explored the existing conditions of Indonesia lifeinsurance companies in developing their digital based dynamic capabilities as well as the service provisioning transformational capability in creating the digital SCA to survive in Indonesia life insurance industry. This study identified and discussed three key themes consisted of development of the right customer journey, earn trust, and key challenges as key success factor in developing and exercising the said capabilities. The study resulted in three propositions and suggested further explanatory study to examine the propositions.

Abstract

The Government Procurement of Goods and Services Agency (LKPP) has presented the E-Catalogue service, which is aimed at creating transparent governance of government procurement of goods and services, involving community participation in monitoring, as well as being a provider that markets goods and services. To achieve these goals, LKPP needs to implement an appropriate communication strategy in disseminating the use of the E-Catalogue. The approach in this study is qualitative and is supported by the use of the case study method. The data in this study were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and literature review. The data were then processed through coding techniques to draw conclusions. The study found several communication strategies that have been implemented by LKPP, including setting rules and distributing circulars, creating content on websites and social media, publishing articles in mass media, using social media, forming working groups, providing assistance to regional governments, providing consulting services, and also providing routine training for government institutions and service providers. The authors also found that the communication strategy implemented by LKPP has been well implemented. This can be seen from the increase in the number of products listed in the E-Catalogue and the goods and service providers involved. However, several obstacles such as infrastructure, human resources, understanding and ease of use of the E-Catalogue continue to remain, which must be addressed by LKPP.
