Abstract

There are several advantages and disadvantages and advertising via the Internet. The appeal of advertising may also arise from given information element, the element of comfort but also sometimes lead to disturbing or irritation elements. The limited number of Internet users in Indonesia and the different backgrounds of individual Internet users in Indonesia certainly provide a different assessment of the advertisements contained on the Internet. There are 3 factors which was the starting point to explain how consumers interpret the value of advertising, namely: informativeness, entertainment and irritation. This research aims to discover whether there is a relationship between entertainment, informativeness, and irritation toward advertising values and whether there is a relationship between entertainment and advertising values toward attitude towards web advertising using statistics tools of path analysis and multiple regression. The research shows that there is a significant relationship between independent variables such as informativeness, entertainment and irritation simultaneously toward the advertising value but there are no significant relationship between entertainment and informativeness toward the advertising value individually.  In the other model there is a significant relationship between informativeness, irritation and advertising values with the attitude towards web advertising.

Abstract

Perfect competition (PPS) is the most ideal market structure because this market system is considered will ensure the realization of activities producing goods and services with very high efficiency compared to other market structures such as monopoly. Due to its benefits for sellers and buyers, economists often wish for the creation of perfect competition. In the pattern of transactions in everyday life, there are many market transactions commonly encountered, such as decentralized systems (DT), and Double Auction (DA). This paper presents the use of experimental methods to study the characteristics of both systems the transaction is in a "perfect competition” (5 sellers and 5 buyers' and market monopoly (with 1 seller and 5 buyers). Responses observed are Contract Price (CP), market efficiency, CP diversity coefficient on the price balance, buyer surplus and seller surplus. From the experimental results can be seen that the average Contract Price (CP) during 5 experimental periods that the value of CP at Perfect Competition Market is smaller than the monopoly market. From efficiency levels between transactions type it can be seen that the Double Auction type of transaction is more efficient than with the Decentralization type of transaction.

Abstract

The electric train (KRL) is a form of application of scientific and technological developments in the field of transportation so that KRL can replace modes of transportation that use coal or use diesel. Currently electric trains in Indonesia are one of the modes of transportation that are most widely used every day for activities ranging from transportation for schools and colleges to transportation used to go to work and other important activities. Every year electric train passengers in Indonesia are increasing, starting from 100 thousand passengers per day until it is predicted to be 1 million passengers per day. The capacity of the Purwosari Traction Substation (GT) can be categorized as sufficient, with the difference between the specifications of the power capacity and the calculated capacity of only 57.9%. On the Purwosari – Solo Balapan route, the cable type resistance was 0.000167 ?/m, from this type of resistance to the resistance calculated from usage, a difference of around 20.9%. As for the Feeder Wire type resistance, the cable specification limit with the calculation is still below the maximum limit so it is still feasible to use. Because the specification limit and the calculation results are around 99.654% of the limit at 20°C.

Abstract

With limited electrical resources and the increasing use of loads on the industry, it is required to optimize the use of electrical power. Thus, it requires continuous monitoring and automatic load control. Overall monitoring of power loads, and electrical control settings in the optimization of production machines that can be monitored remotely and comprehensively. To overcome this problem, the design of the electrical power load control device on production machines with scada based on programmable logic controllers and smartphones is made. This study uses an experimental method to obtain a suitable machine simulator, then the following steps are carried out: collecting data and information, determining the controller and communication system, making hardware design, wiring simulator, software controller design, android smartphone software design and HMI software design. As for the control of the electric power control system in optimizing the operation of production machines with scada and smartphones. From the test results obtained a system that can work well. This is evidenced by looking at the measurement data for testing the input/output signal from the controller by looking directly at the controller, as well as on the HMI monitor by displaying the amount of electrical power used and the amount of available electrical resources, which is done by simulating analog input/output. with a scale of 0-100% (0-10 V), 0-1000 KW (0-10 V).

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a list of analysts that influence the performance of hotel employees in Jakarta. The variables used are Competence, Reward, Intent to quit as independent variables and dependent variables are Performance. The statistical method uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings obtained include (1) Competence has a positive and significant effect on Performance (2) Reward has a significant effect on Intent to quit (3) Reward has a positive and significant effect on Performance. (4) Competence does not have a significant effect on Intent to quit (5) Intent to quit does not have a significant effect on Performance, This means that the higher the level of Intent to quit, the significant effect on Performance is not.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and obtain empirical evidence related to the influence of company size, company age, audit committee, and industry classification on audit delay simultaneously and partially. This research method uses a quantitative approach using 163 samples of companies in the Consumer Goods and Banking sector collected from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2014-2016 as research material. The results of this study found that firm size and industry classification had a significant negative effect on audit delay, the audit committee had a significant positive effect on audit delay while the age of the company had no significant effect on audit delay.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence quality of information on local government financial reports in the Depok City Government with an internal control system as a moderating variable. These factors include Competence of Human Resources, Regional Financial Management Information Systems and Government Accounting Standards. Type of research is quantitative research using primary data. Data collection techniques are questionnaires. Population and samples in this study are Head of Finance Subdivision, Expenditure Treasurer and financial staff and accounting compilers of financial statements as respondents, amounting to 114 of the 38 SKPDs of Depok City Government. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis with SPSS Statistics 22 software. The results showed that partially the Competence of Human Resources, Regional Financial Management Information Systems and Government Accounting Standards had a significant positive effect on the Quality of Information on Local Government Financial Reports. While the Internal Control System cannot moderate the influence between Human Resource Competencies, Regional Financial Management Information Systems and Government Accounting Standards with the Quality of Information on Local Government Financial Reports.

Abstract

Increasing complexity of business competition and achievement of company performance demands are high demanding role of human resource management. Request a workforce with the skills, knowledge, and skill also increases. Changes in the business environment that occurs leads to the recognition of the importance of human resources as a source of competitive advantage for the Organization, the employee competencies that correspond to the needs of the companies can give impact on the commitment of the employees to achieve the vision and mission of the company is ultimately reflected on the employee's achievements and performance of the company. This research uses three variables, namely competency, organizational commitment, and work achievement. The purpose of this research is to analyze the strategy of increasing employee achievement through organizational commitment and competence as well as composing the SWOT analysis in an effort to the preparation of the strategic plan with regard to the performance of the employee. The research method used was qualitative and quantitative methods. Data processing used in Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Methods of sampling, cluster sampling is used with the sample number of 245 people. The respondents in this study i.e. all employees in four offices, namely BTN BTN Sharia branch Sunday market, BTN Sharia Branch Office Bogor, BTN Sharia Branch Office Tangerang and Bekasi Branch Office Sharia BTN. Hope the findings of this research is the competence and commitment of organizational impact significantly to achievements of employees and interns based on the SWOT analysis can be formulated strategies to improve employees work achievement with maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses and the opportunities and threats so that can becomes a formula for sustainable human resource development that can support the achievement of company performance and have appropriate work achievements with expectations of the company.

Abstract

In the era of rapid change, the company is required to always be able to face challenges and competitions by making adjustment in strategy. The members of organization's commitment to the strategy chosen by company is very crucial.To support the commitment in company required a good corporate climate and also trust among members of the company. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of organizational climate and trust in the commitment of the organization. The study was conducted at PT Suryajaya Teknotama the subjects were employees in that company. The collection of data conducted by interview, studying company documents and using questionnaires. The number of respondents in this study is 202 people. Analysis of the data in this study using SEM and lisrel 8.8 as tools to help analysis the data. Based on the analysis, obtained results showed significant effect of organizational climate to trust, significant effect of trust to commitment. While the organizational climate not significant effect on commitment.

Abstract

The development of insurance industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly in the last decade as affected by the improving Indonesian economic conditions, especially in motor vehicle insurance product. These conditions encourage the majority of insurance companies to develop motor vehicles insurance product aggressively and innovatively. One of the crucial factors to be considered public in purchasing a motor vehicle insurance policy is the customer’s expectations for service quality of claim as consideration of the company's business strategy. In this quantitative descriptive study, the author divides the service expectations of claim in three main stages, namely claim acceptance, claim processing, and claim settlement. The aim of this study is to investigate the desired service and the adequate service of claim by the motor vehicle insurance policyholders as factors in the service expectations that affect the quality of service. The survey was conducted for two months, in October - December 2015 with a sample size of 230 people in incidental sampling method. The analytical method used in this research is Structural Equation Model (SEM). Results from this study indicate that the business strategy adopted by insurance companies and service expectations motor vehicle insurance policy holders in each stage of the claims process affect the services quality of claim significantly.
