Abstract

Most adolescent have problems with the quality ofsleep due to social demands such as academicdemands that contribute to stress. The aim of study to determine relationship between stress andsleep quality among adolescents in SMP Darul Hijrah Puteri. This study used cross sectionalcorrelation with total sample was 149 adolescents were taken using cluster random samplingtechnique on 23 December 2017. The instruments were questionnaires Educational Stress Scalefor Adolescent (ESSA) to assess stress and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to assess sleepquality. Analyze result showed that stress among adolescents in SMP Darul Hijrah Puteriaverage of 54.83 and sleep quality with an average of 8. 26. In Spearman Rho’ analysis, there wasno correlation between stress and sleep quality among adolescents in SMP Darul Hijrah Puteri(p = 0.342, r=0.078). Several factors affect sleep quality, so the stress cannot be the only factorcausing problems in sleep quality.

Abstract

Hospitalization can cause anxiety responses among preschool age children. Impact of children'sanxiety when undergoing hospitalization may interfere with growth and development, healingprocess, and trauma. Origami therapy is one of the interventions to reduce anxiety amongchildren during their hospitalization. The objective of this study was to measure the effectivenessof origami therapy on the anxiety among preschool children (3-6 years) during hospitalizatioIdaman Banjarbaru Public Hospital. The Method this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. The consecutive sampling technique was usedin this study to select the samples of 30 preschool children, divided into 15 intervention groupand 15 control group. Measurement of anxiety preschoolers using Preschool Anxiety Scale. TheResults Analyzed using non-parametric test Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, there was an effect oforigami therapy on the anxiety preschool age children during Hospitalization at IdamanBanjarbaru Public Hospital (p-value 0.001).

Abstract

Family social support is a very important coping strategy of a family by the time ofexperiencingstress. Stress refers to any situation when non specific demand requires an individual to respondor to act. Objective to know the correlation between family social support and stress degree offamily member in treating mental disorder patient in the work region of Banjarbaru Puskesmas.Methods this is an observation analytic study using cross sectional design and the data iscollected by means of giving questionnaires on family social support and stress degree. Resultsthe study indicates that most of the respondents, namely 25 respondents (78.13%) have goodfamily social support, and 6 respondents (18.75%) have sufficient family support and only 1respondents (3.13%) has less family social support. The respondents stress degree shows thatgenerally, namely 18 respondents (56.25%) have stress degree a little bit lower than the average.The data analysis of the study has applied spearman correlation test with p value 0.041 <0.05,there is a negative correlation with the low power between the family social support and thestress degree of family member in treating patient with mental disorder in the work region ofBanjarbaru Puskesmas with r value = -0,363.

Abstract

Therapeutic communication is a base tool used for making correlation between nurse and patientfamily. Patient family feels that their interaction with nurse is oppurtunity to explain feel whichdisturb so need for anxiety solving. Aim of this research to analyze correlation therapeuticcommunication of nurse with patient family anxiety level. Method of This research observationalanalysis with total respondent were 30 patients family in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) GeneralHospital (RSUD) Ratu Zalecha Martapura between 28 November to 7 December 2015. Thisresearch instruments used Therapeutic Communication of Nursing questionnaire and HamiltonAnxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questionnaire. Results of this research is communication of nursegood were 83,4%, therapeutic comunication of nurse enough were 16,7. There were no anxiety33,3%, low anxiety were 33,4%, middle anxiety were 16,6%, high anxiety were 16,7%. Result ofcorelation spearman statistic p value= 0,000 and coefficient correlation spearman (r)= -0,816. pvalue 0,000<0,05. Communication therapeutic of nurse related with patient family anxiety level.Communication therapeutic of nurse can be used as nursing intervention by nurse to patientfamily in ICU.
