Abstract

This study aims to develop students' conceptual understanding by integrating the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) project in thermochemistry. The qualitative research was employed with interviews, reflective journals, observations, students’ worksheets, and conceptual understanding tests on 40 students in senior high school. The STEAM project was implemented through a project-based learning model to develop students' understanding of exothermic and endothermic, combustion reactions, and enthalpy concepts. The STEAM project being developed is a steamship using three fuels: methanol, ethanol, and palm oil. The results showed that the student's understanding of enthalpy calculation had developed. Otherwise, the concept of exothermic, endothermic, and combustion reaction, especially related to applying the concept in daily life, is still undeveloped. Thus, some of the students experienced misconceptions. Therefore, the integration of contextual learning such as STEAM needs to be continuously applied to provide students with opportunities to develop their conceptual understanding and application in daily life.

Abstract

Polymer ChoAcry/ITO was added glycol is one of the material polymer liquid crystal modifications. In general polymer liquid crystal cholesteryl acrylate was made for many application usage in optoelectronics materials. This research want to study effect Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) in polymer choAcry/ITO for stability structure of blending choAcry/ITO. PEG 0.006 was added to mixed cholesteryl acrylate with ITO. Polymerizations that doing using UV curing photopolymerizations. Characterizations group functions using Fourier Transformed Infra Red (FTIR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). Effect concentrations of PEG in PolyChoAcry-ITO shown from FTIR spectrum, shown not different. Peak in spectrum showed are C=C and C-H aliphatic, C=C aromatic, C-O ester, and para-benzene. Based on data FTIR that PE-b-PEG not change structures. Therefore, diffractogram of XRD, showed added ITO and PEG can be affect phisycal and chemistry properties of polymer cholestryl acrylate. This data showed PEG changed structures of polymer. Polyethilene glycol spreading into polymer cholesteryl acrylate. In the literatures told that PEG can be conjunctionc between that monomer or polymer cholesteryl acrylate-ITO.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effects of deposition time on the phase and structure of FeCoNi. FeCoNi was prepared by electrodeposition method at room temperature. X-ray diffraction measurement shows the formation of a single phase of FeCoNi at 5 and 10 minutes of deposition, while at 20, 35, and 50 minutes, a new phase was formed, namely CoNi. The obtained FeCoNi and CoNi show a crystal plane at 2θ = 44.05° (111); 51.33° (002); and 75.59° (022) in all different deposition times, indicating the face centered cubic crystal structure. The effect of deposition time on the chemicals composition shows an anomalous co-deposition because Fe has a larger ratio than Co and Ni. The deposition rate and the value of current efficiency were found to be optimum at FeCoNi synthesized for 20 minutes, namely 0.00214 mg/cm2s and 97.00%.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh penambahan silika pada membran Sulfonasi Polieter Eter Keton-Akrilonitril Butadiena Stirena untuk aplikasi PEMFC. Variasi dilakukan pada konsentrasi silika sebesar 0%, 3%, 5%, 10%, dan 15% dari berat polimer. Tujuan penambahan silika adalah untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi silika optimum pada membran SPEEK-ABS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi silika optimum berada pada penambahan silika 3%. Penambahan silika 3% memberikan karakteristik pada membran yaitu mampu meningkatkan konduktivitas ionik sebesar 0.0075 x 10-3 S/cm. Dengan penambahan silika juga dapat meningkatkan swelling terhadap air dan metanol. Analisis gugus sulfonat pada membran dilakukan dengan FTIR dan memperoleh hasil gugus sulfonat membran SPEEK-ABS berada pada bilangan gelombang 1203.58 cm-1.Kata kunci : membran elektrolit, SPEEK, ABS, silika, konduktivitas ionik, swelling. Has done research on the effect of silica on membranes sulfonated polyether ether ketone – acrylonitrile butadiene styrene for applications PEMFC. Variation performed on silica concentration of 0%, 3%, 5%, 10%, and 15% by weigh of use polymer. The purpose of this addition silica is to find the optimum of silica concentration on membranes SPEEK-ABS. The result experiment showed that optimum of silica concentration is 3%. Additionally of 3% silica can be characteristic on membranes is to be increasing ionic conductivity of of 0.0075x10-3 S/cm. With addition silica can be increasing swelling water and methanol. Analysis of group sulfonated membranes is done by FT-IR and getting the wave value is 1203.58 cm-1.Keywords : membranes electrolyte, SPEEK, ABS, silica, ionic conductivity, swelling

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai penggunaan katalis CaO dari cangkang telur pada reaksi transesterifikasi minyak jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L) dengan metanol bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi optimum katalis CaO. CaO diperoleh dengan cara kalsinasi cangkang telur ayam negeri selama 6 jam pada suhu 800°C. Hasil karakterisasi dengan XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) menunjukan bahwa katalis CaO hasil kalsinasi pada kondisi tersebut memiliki difraktogram yang sesuai dengan CaO standar. Reaksi transesterifikasi dilakukan dengan merefluks campuran minyak jarak pagar, metanol dan katalis CaO pada beberapa konsentrasi selama 120 menit pada suhu 60°C. Rendemen metil ester ditentukan dengan cara menghitung jumlah gliserol yang dibebaskan dalam reaksi transesterifikasi. Dari hasil Penelitian, diketahui bahwa konsentrasi katalis CaO optimum adalah 10% (%-w) dengan hasil metil ester sebesar 82,62% (%-w). Uji kualitas produk menunjukan nilai densitas (40°C) 0,86 g/mL, , dan viskositas (40°C) 11,67 cSt. serta bilangan asam 0,62 mg KOH/g minyak.KeywordsReaksi transesterifikasi , katalis CaO, X-Ray Diffraction,Rendemen metil ester

Abstract

Abstrak Selulosa bakterial nata de coco merupakan hasil fermentasi Acetobacter xylinum dalam substrat air kelapa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi awal larutan dan lamanya waktu kontak terhadap proses adsorpsi Cu(II) pada selulosa bakterial nata de coco. Karakterisasi gugus fungsi selulosa bakterial nata de coco dengan FT-IR menunjukkan adanya puncak serapan pada daerah bilangan gelombang 3433,60 cm-1 yang mengindikasikan adanya gugus OH. Sedangkan pada daerah 2922,10 cm-1 dan 1428,90 cm-1, 1372,84 cm-1 dan 1337,87 cm-1 menunjukkan adanya gugus OH dan CH. Bilangan gelombang pada daerah 1060,25 cm-1, 1034,61 cm-1, 1112,93 cm-1 dan 1163,5 cm-1 menunjukkan adanya gugus C-O. Hasil spektrum FTIR selulosa bakterial nata de coco secara umum mirip dengan spektrum FTIR selulosa komersial. Uji pemanfaatan selulosa bakterial nata de coco sebagai bahan adsorban logam Cu(II) dalam sistem berpelarut air diamati bahwa konsentrasi awal larutan dan Lamanya waktu kontak mempengaruhi besarnya adsorpsi Cu(II) oleh selulosa bakteri Nata de coco. Kapasitas adsorpsi mencapai maksimum yaitu sebesar 1,905 mg/g pada saat konsentrasi awal larutan CuSO4.5H2O 10 mM dan waktu kontak 30 menit. Abstract

This study aims for shyntesized of composite of cholesteryl acrylate polymer-indium tin oxide (PCA-ITO) and the characteristic, and also its conductivity properties. Synthesized of PCA-ITO Composite by using UV Curing method with initiator 2-Hydroxy-2-Methyl PhenylPropanone (Darocur 1173). This research using vary of concentration initiator darcor were 0; 0,125; 0,250; 0,375; 0,500; 0,625 % V/V. The FTIR characterization results show a shift of wave numbers between the PCA-ITO composite FTIR spectrum and its pure cholesteryl arcylate (KA) FTIR spectrum. Based on the XRD diffraction pattern thereis a high intensity peak a 2θ=30° which is the typical peak of ITO and there is a peak at 2θ=7° which is the peak of the cholesteryl acrylate-ITO. The greater the initiator concentration the ITO and PCA begin to mix and look at the morphology of the surface with englarged. The LCR Meter data show that the conductivity value of the PCA-ITO composite without the initiator is smaller when compared with the addition of the initiator. Keywords. Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah berdampak positif terhadap cara baru untuk mengevaluasi pembelajaran dan memberikan umpan balik kepada siswa melalui e-assessment. Namun, penyusunan e-assessment yang efisien di level sekolah menenah atas membutuhkan pelatihan. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penyusunan soal interaktif menggunakan platform e-ujian bagi guru-guru kimia di Jakarta Timur, DKI Jakarta. Peserta adalah 61 guru kimia dari 10 SMA di Jakarta Timur. Pelatihan diselenggarakan pada tanggal 8 September 2022 secara hybrid. Keberhasilan pelatihan dievaluasi menggunakan survey dan dibagikan diakhir kegiatan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengonstruksi soal-soal dengan bantuan teknologi. Kegiatan ini telah memberikan alternatif solusi bagi guru kimia untuk memudahkan mereka dalam melakukan penilaian. Mitra mengharapkan adanya keberlanjutan program ini.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat civitas akademika prodi Pendidikan Sejarah FIS UNJ. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari bentuk nyata peran serta FIS UNJ dalam membina dan membimbing guru yang kompeten dan professional. Tujuan workshop pelatihan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru guru PAUD Kamboja Berseri RW 01 Kelurahan Kampung Makasar, Jakarta Timur. Guru-guru PAUD ini menajdi pengajar di sekolah tersebut belum memiliki kompetensi sesuai dengan UU N0.20 tahun 2003 tentang Kompetensi Guru dan Dosen. Mereka secara umum adalah lulusan SMA/SMK, sehingga kurang memahami pedagogik untuk usia dini. Guru PAUD seharusnya memiliki kemampuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, termasuk mampu mengembangkan media yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Guru merupakan kunci keberhasilan proses kegiatan pembelajaran. Dalam rangka Peningkatan dan pembinaan guru PAUD, agar mampu mendidik anak-anak usia Dini, menjadi anak yang memiliki kompetensi yang seimbang antara intelektual, fisikal, emosional dan spiritual sehingga tumbuh menjadi anak yang tidak hanya memiliki kecerdasan hardskill tetapi juga softskill.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze higher order thinking skills through a project-based learning model on acid-base material. The project being carried out is to make natural acid-base indicators and to be able to determine the acid-base properties of solutions from the natural acid-base indicators that have been made.This research was conducted from January 2021 to June 2021. This research used a qualitative research method, an interpretive paradigm with 40 students in class XI IPA in Jakarta as subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out by class observation, student and teacher reflective journals, student worksheets and tests of higher order thinking skills.Based on observations, the dominant skill is analyzing skill which is equal to 83.33%, the second skill is evaluating skill which is equal to 79.16%, and the third skill is creating skill amounting to 77.50%. Based on the test results, the dominant skill is analyzing skills by 75.44%, the second skill is evaluating skills by 70.36%, and the third skill is evaluating skills by 69.58%.
