Abstract

Increased  feeding at the waste of  feed and feces are discharged into the aquatic environment  make increase the consumption of dissolved oxygen  to decompose. If it continues, there will be an aerobic and reductive conditions, especially in bottom water, they  will be accelerate the decomposition of organic material in aerobic to produce toxic materials which endanger the fish. Purpose of this study was simulate the dynamic model of water quality in tilapia farming in the swamp waters, so can make a good scenario in produced tilapia farming activities in production of appropriate sustainable land productivity capabilities. Data analysis of dynamic model was performed with Power Sim Studio 5. simulation results showed  the growth of tilapia with probiotics feed better than without probiotic feed, and environmental improvements swamp waters. Recommended on first scenario (one crop) and second scenario (two crops) in a year , there is a time break of reproduction  if  harvest done 1-2 times a year for recovery (self purification) natural wetlands, then can create more sustainable aquaculture. The third simulation (three harvests a year) are not recommended, because the land  used continuously without a break will cause impaired water quality and impact on the decline in fish production as well as unsustainable.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this study is to analyze the influence of coagulants to reduce the levels of dissolved metals Iron (Fe) & Manganese (Mn) from coal mine water The place of the study is in the operational area of the PT. Adaro Indonesia in Tabalong and Balangan Regencies, the object of the study of mine water samples was taken at the Settling pond (SP) X inlet located in the Wara mine area. This research was conducted with an experimental method, namely the Jar Test test with an experimental design compiled in a Non-Factorial Group Randomized Design (RAK) consisting of 6 (six) treatments with 3 repetitions. The analysis method carried out to determine the influence of coagulants on the decrease in Fe and Mn metal levels is to use the Anova and Tukey (BNJ) analysis method. The results of this study from all the treatments that have been carried out on coagulants in the study, the coagulants that have the greatest influence in reducing Fe metal levels are the use of coagulant Y with a combination of treatments with an increase in water pH (caustic soda Y) combined with fast and slow stirring (D1) of: 0,002 mg/L, treatment with an increase in water pH (caustic soda Y) combined with rapid stirring (D2) by: The 0,002 mg/L data analysis with the anova and tukey BNJ tests differed from other treatments. The coagulant that has the greatest influence in reducing Mn metal levels is the use of coagulant Y with a combination of treatment with an increase in water pH (caustic soda Y) + auxiliary coagulant Y combined with rapid mixing (F2) of: 2,509 mg/L, treatment with an increase in water pH (caustic soda Y) + auxiliary coagulant Y combined with slow mixing (F3) of: 2,518 mg/L.

Abstract

Toman fish is a pure carnivore fish which so far has used wild catches as its entire diet. Alternative feed with high animal protein and easy to obtain needs to be done. Fermentation activities using tempe yeast can usually increase the protein content of a material. Studies on the use of fermented maggot for toman fish seed feed have not yet obtained sufficient information, so in-depth research on this matter really needs to be done. This study aims to analyze the nutritional content of fermented maggot on the growth of toman fish. Observations were made for 60 days with A1B1 treatment (Maggot + 0% Rhizopus sp). A1B2 (Maggot+5% Rhizopus sp), A1B3(Maggot+10% Rhizopus sp), A2B1(Maggot pres+0% Rhizopus sp), A2B2 (Maggot pres+5% Rhizopus sp), and A2B3 (Maggot pres+10% Rhizopus sp.). Parameters measured were maggot nutritional content, as well as growth, survival, feed efficiency, protein retention and fat retention in toman fish. The best research results showed that the nutritional content of maggot with the highest protein was found in the A2B3 treatment (Maggot pres + 10% Rhizopus sp) while the best growth and feed efficiency were found in the A2B2 treatment (Maggot pres + 5% Rhizopus sp). The nutritional content of maggot feed which was treated with fermentation using tempeh yeast could increase the protein content of maggot and after it was given to the toman according to the treatment it showed an increase in growth in each treatment.
