Abstract

One of the most important skills needed to face the 21st-century challenges is critical thinking. Gender differences are considered to contribute to the critical thinking skills. The objective of this study was to determine students' critical thinking skills based on gender. This quantitative research involved 57 students of the Natural Sciences Education Study Program, Universitas Hasyim Asy?ari. The instrument employed was critical thinking skills test. The data was analyzed using independent samples t-test. The results showed that the average scores of critical thinking skills of male and female students were 2.60 and 2.99 respectively. In addition, there was significant difference of students? critical thinking skills between male and female [t (55) = 2.065, p = 0.044]. In conclusion, female students tend to have the higher critical thinking skills than the male.

Abstract

The Beginning of observation conducted in SMP PGRI Ngraho Bojonegoro Class VIIA. The observation show that student Critical Thinking skills is lack in Acquaintance stuff And solve problem, make hypothesis, make conclusions and develop opinion, with average fg ability Critical Thinking at 53, 2%. Based on that fact learning model need to be apply. The learning model can build ability of critical thinking like problem-Based Learning. The purpose of this observation for knowing the impact of learning model with basic problem to develop student crtical thinking skill. The research conducted by Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), which consists of two cycles in eight times meeting. The subject of the observation is VII-A SMP PGRI Ngraho Bojonegoro student with total of 30 students. The main topic that used by this observation is statistic and scale. The instrument of this observation are RPP, LKS, problem based learning attending observation sheet, critical thinking skills observation sheet and field notes. The technique of data analysis are data reduction, data presentation and draw conclusion. The result of the observation shows that problem-Based Learning can develop student critical thinking skills. That result show with developing of average percentage of critical thinking skills from 53,2% in beginning of observation rise to 58,5% in cycle I and 73,3% in cycle II. Abstract

(Eco-education) pemberian edukasi tentang lingkungan sebenarnya sudah diberikankepada mahasiswa pendidikan IPA Unhasy lengkap dengan isu-isu terbaru terkait permasalahanlingkungan melalui matakuliah PKLH dan IPL. Namun pemberian edukasi sekedar teori sajaternyata kurang memberikan efek maksimal kepada mahasiswa. Masih banyak mahasiswa yangkurang peduli terhadap permasalahan mengenai isu lingkungan. Salah satu contohnya adalahkurangnya kesadaran mahasiswa mengenai pengolahan sampah di lingkungan sekitar kampus.Kami sebagai peneliti tergerak untuk melakukan suatu upaya memberikan edukasi secara langsungkepada mahasiswa sekaligus melibatkan mereka dalam kegiatan pengolahan sampah menjadisesuatu yang lebih bernilai. Peneliti mencoba memanfaatkan sampah organik rumah tangga yangberupa sisa sayuran, kulit buah, dan air cucian beras menjadi pupuk cair organik organik (poc)dengan memanfaatkan Mikroorganisme Lokal (mol) pada budidaya Tanaman Buah dalam Pot(tabulampot). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan ketrampilan dasar tentangpemanfaatan sampah organik menjadi poc ramah lingkungan untuk budidaya tabulampot denganmemanfaatkan mol pada mahasiswa pendidikan IPA Unhasy Tebuireng Jombang. Berdasarkanhasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pemberian edukasi dan ketrampilan tentang pemanfaatan sampahorganik menjadi poc berbasis mol yang dimanfaatkan sebagai nutrisi tambahan pada budidayatabulampot memberikan pengaruh yang cukup besar terhadap pengetahuan dan ketrampilanmahasiswa mengenai ilmu lingkungan terutama mengenai pengelolahan sampah. Hal ini bisadilihat dari nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 76 dan nilai post-test 81.

Abstract

Abstract: The Curiculum 2013 requires students to be active in learning through scientific approaches, but the reality encountered by teachers is still dominant which results in students feeling bored and dislike the material. The general purpose to be achieved from this research is to develop discovery learning-based student worksheets for grade VII students on Photosynthesis material. This research is a development research that uses the ADDIE development but it was only limited to the ADDE (analyze, design, development, evaluation) stage. The research data were obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The LKPD development process produces 3 LKPD drafts according to the ADDIE model stages which are limited to the ADDE stage. The results of the research on the LKPD validity test showed that the LKPD was declared valid with a validity value of 3.47 which was categorized as very valid by the validator. Keywords​: ​​ Development, LKPD, Discovery Learning, Photosynthesis Abstrak: Kurikulum 2013 mengajak peserta didik untuk aktif dalam pembelajaran melalui pendekatan ilmiah, namun kenyataan yang ditemui guru mendominasi pelajaran yang mengakibatkan peserta didik merasa bosan dan dan cenderung tidak menyukai materi yang diajarkan. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis discovery learning untuk peserta didik kelas VII pada materi Fotosintesis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan tapi hanya terbatas pada tahap ADDE (analyze, design, development, evaluation). Data penelitian didapat melalui metode angket dan dokumentasi. Proses pengembangan LKPD menghasilkan 3 draft LKPD sesuai dengan tahapan model ADDIE yang terbatas pada tahap ADDE. Hasil penelitian pada uji validitas LKPD menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dinyatakan valid dengan nilai validitas sebesar 3,47 yang dikategorikan sangat valid oleh validator. Abstract

Abstract: This development research is entitled Development of a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) for the TGT Type (Team Games Tournament) Cooperative Model based on the traditional game of Mushroom on Heat and Displacement material. The background of this development research is the problem of the learning process using scientific methods but not yet in accordance with the steps and implementation. This study aims to describe the steps for developing a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) for the Cooperative Type TGT model based on the Mushroom game. As well as describe the quality of the results of the development of the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). The quality of the development results is determined based on the criteria of validity. The material used in the development is the material of Heat and displacement class VII.This research is research and development. The Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) development model was adapted from the Ploomp model development model which consisted of preliminary investigation, design, realization, evaluation and revision, and implementation. The research instrument used was a validation sheet for the product developed in the form of a LearningImplementation Plan (RPP). Validity data analysis was carried out by converting quantitative data in the form of assessment scores into qualitative data.This development research resulted in a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKPD) and Assessment Instruments on Heat and Displacement material. Abstract

The coronavirus outbreak from 2019 had a significant impact on all sectors in Indonesia, especially the education sector, which requires learning from home. It provides a change in students' learning style to make educators change online-based learning using various platforms, one of which is the Physics Virtual Lab (PVL). This application is in a simulation designed explicitly physics practicum, accessed using a mobile phone. This study aims to determine how effective the use of PVL in fulfilling practicum activities is in terms of perceptions and competencies of students' attitudes. The research method is descriptive research to obtain an overview of PVL applications in physics practicum using domestic used materials. The subjects in this study were students of the first-semester science education study program who took the Basic Physics course—collecting data using perception questionnaires and attitude assessment sheets. The average student perception score is 4.22. Then, the students' attitude competence results obtained an average score of 80.88 integrity; independence 74.89; confidence 75.17 and responsibility 84.89. It shows that the implementation of PVL builds students' integrity and responsibility.

Abstract

One of the most important skills which is needed to face this 21st centurychallenge is critical thinking since it is very important to solve problems. This research is conducted to find out the critical thinking skill of the Science Department students at Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari (UNHASY) Jombang who took Basic Biology. This research is a survey research and conducted during even semester 2018/2019. The number of the research subject is 57 students. The researchers use essay/subjective test as research instrument to measure the students’ critical thinking. Then, the data was analyzed descritively. Based on the research, the researchers found that the students’ critical thinking is at indicator range 2,92 which means undeveloped. The total percentage of students’ critical thinking skill which is at undeveloped level is 49,12% while the other one which is at well developed level is 50,88%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model project based learning (PjBL) dalam perkuliahan metodologi penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dengan rancangan one grup pretest postest. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan non-probability sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji paired t test. Hasil penelitian menyatakan ada perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan menggunakan model project based learning (PjBL) berdasarkan rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dari nilai pretest hingga posttest dan nilai t hitung lebih besar nilai t tabel. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran PjBL dapat direkomendasikan untuk dapat diimplementasikan pada perkuliahan lainnya karena pembelajaran ini dapat mendidik dan memotivasi terhadap tugas akademik untuk bisa care, self-efficacy, dan responsibility.
