Abstract

The purpose of this research is to formulate the development strategy of the small industry of tamarillo processed typical food in Kejajar District that faces the marketing obstacles, the simple technology, and the lack of capital. This research also aims at analyzing the position and the development strategy of tamarillo processed product as the typical food from Dieng Plateau. The SWOT analysis is used at the first stage and the Ansoff Matrix analysis is used at the second stage. The result of SWOT analysis indicates that the position of small industry is in quadrant II, which supports the growth strategy through horizontal integration. The strategy can be implemented by cooperating with the similar small industries and the Department of Tourism and Culture of Wonosobo Regency for marketing. The Ansoff Matrix analysis indicates that the position of tamarillo processed product is seen as the new typical food in Kejajar District, so, the main strategy for the small industry is market development strategy to increase the market share and to create the brand image to the tourists.

Abstract

Mapping industry and need assessement are the first steps for developing the industrial sector. This study aims to describe the performance of the industry, prepare the map of industrial development potency and identify the need assessement on industries in Sub Gunungpati. The data was obtained from the survey by spreading questionnaires and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The descriptive statistical analysis is used in this study. The result shows that there are 12 types of industries in the Village Gunungpati. However, most of these industries do not have a good management of the business eventhough they have been running their industries for a long time. It can be seen from several aspects, such as accounting and finance, production and marketing. Every type of industry has different condition and distribution. There is only one type of industry which form a large cluster; it is the industries that produce red bricks in Ngrembel. Finally, the result of need assessment shows that trainings on administrative records, financial report, innovation on production machines, packaging, marketing, obtaining raw materials, waste management are needed to increase the business capacity. Pemetaan industri dan need assessement merupakan langkah awal dalam pengembangan sektor industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan performance industri, menyusun peta potensi pengembangan industri dan mengidentifikasi need assessement pada industri-industri di Kelurahan Gunungpati. Data diperoleh dari metode survey dengan kuisioner dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis deskriptif statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada 12 jenis industri di Kelurahan Gunungpati. Meski sudah berdiri lama, mayoritas industri- industri tersebut belum memiliki manajemen pengelolaan usaha yang baik. Ini dapat dilihat dari beberapa aspek, antara lain aspek pembukuan dan keuangan, produksi dan pemasaran. Setiap jenis industri memiliki kondisi dan sebaran yang berbeda-beda. Hanya ada satu jenis industri yang membentuk cluster besar yaitu industri pembuatan bata merah di daerah Ngrembel. Hasil need assessment menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pencatatan administrasi, pelatihan penulisan laporan keuangan, inovasi alat produksi, pelatihan teknik pengemasan, pelatihan teknik pemasaran, kemudahan memperoleh bahan baku, dan pengelolaan limbah produksi dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas usaha.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to make planning in the development of agricultural sector especiallyfood crops for the economic area improvement. The tools of analysis applied are shift share, LocationQuotient (LQ) and central index analysis. The development of the superb food crops is conducted withthe development of processing and central industry. By observing the superb crops commodity, centralindex value, and PRDB per capita, it can be determined the development direction of each food cropscommodities, that is by specifying central production area and processing industry. Paddy centralproduction is recommended in Temon, Panjatan, Galur, Lendah, Kokap, Girimulyo, Nanggulan andSamigaluh sub-districts, and rice mill is developed in Wates and Pengasih sub-districts. For Maizecommodity, the development of processing industry is conducted in Sentolo and Pengasih sub-districtsand its central production is in Temon, Lendah, Kokap, Kalibawang and Samigaluh sub-districts. Forcassava crops commodity, the central production is in Temon, Kokap, Girimulyo, Kalibawang andSamigaluh sub-districts, and its processing industry is founded in Sentolo and Pengasih sub-districts.Central production of sweet potatoes is in Panjatan, Pengasih, and Girimulyo subdistricts, and itsprocessing industry is in Wates sub-district. For peanuts commodity, the processing industry is foundedin Wates and Pengasih sub-districts, and its central production is in Temon, Lendah, Kokap, Girimulyoand Samigaluh sub-districts. Central production of soybeans crops commodity is located in Temon,Galur, Lendah, Nanggulan and Kalibawang sub-districts and its processing industry is in Sentolo andPengasih sub-districts. Temon, Sentolo, and Pengasih sub-districts are the central production for thegreen beans crops with processing industry in Wates sub-district.Keywords: development, food crops, superb commodity

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find out the conditions and the quality of tourist destinations in Semarang, the characteristics of tourists, and the pattern of foreigners in Semarang. The population of the study is the tourists of Semarang in 2016 which are as much as 3.125.197 tourists. The samples of the study are 400 tourists taken by using the Slovin formula with convenience sampling. The  study is used a quantitative descriptive approach. The data collection is used the questionnaires. The techniques data analysis is used descriptive statistics. The results of the study show that the tourists perception toward the quality of tourist destinations in a tourist attractions of Semarang based on attraction aspects, facilities and accessibility in 2018, most of them are gave good enough opinion. The characteristics of tourists that visited Semarang in 2018, most of them are domestic tourists, men, between 18-40 years old, were not married yet, they came from another city, their last education is highchool/equal, and they are students/students college.The pattern of tourists visiting the tourist attractions in Semarang in 2018 is most of the tourist came with their family/friends in order to vacation/recreation, the visits frequency  only once in a year for 1-2 days and most of them came in the day of Eid al-Fitr holiday. Based on secondary data, Semarang has three times peak seasons, those are new year masehi, school day off and Raya Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Abstract

This research is conducted in order to know what makes tourists to visit tourist destinations. The purpose of this study describes the condition and potential of tourist attraction, knowing the factors that influence tourists in deciding tourist destinations, and develop appropriate tourism development strategies. Respondents in this study were the visitors who came to Magelang regency, Surakarta city, and Semarang city as the research location and 7 keyperson from the related offices. The research method used is descriptive analysis, regression analysis and AHP. The results of the study is known that the condition and potential of tourism that has not been managed optimally. The result of regression analysis is known tourist attraction and Community Participation influence the decision of tourists in determining tourist destinations in Magelang regency. In Kota Surakarta, accessibility of infrastructure and community participation influences the decision of tourists in determining tourist destinations. While the city of Semarang tourist attraction influence the decision of tourists in determining tourist destinations. The results of the Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) is composed of several priority program criteria, namely the first aspect of transportation availability, the two aspects of cultural resources, the three aspects of natural resources. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam rangka mengetahui hal apa yang membuat wisatawan mengunjungi destinasi wisata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini menggambarkan kondisi dan potensi daya tarik wisata, mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi wisatawan dalam memutuskan destinasi wisata, serta menyusun strategi pengembangan pariwisata yang tepat. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah para pengunjung yang datang di obyek wisata Kabupaten Magelang, Kota Surakarta, dan Kota Semarang sebagai lokasi penelitian serta 7 keyperson dari dinas terkait. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi dan AHP. Hasil penelitian diketahui kondisi dan potensi pariwisata yang ada belum terkelola secara maksimal. Hasil analisis regresi diketahui daya tarik wisata dan Partisipasi Masyarakat mempengaruhi keputusan wisatawan dalam menentukan destinasi wisata di Kabupaten Magelang. Pada Kota Surakarta aksesbilitas sarana prasarana dan partisipasi masyarakat mempengaruhi keputusan wisatawan dalam menentukan destinasi wisata. Sedangkan Kota Semarang daya tarik wisata mempengaruhi keputusan wisatawan dalam menentukan destinasi wisata. Adapun hasil Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) tersusun atas beberapa kriteria program yang di prioritaskan yaitu pertama aspek ketersediaan transportasi, kedua aspek sumber daya budaya, ketiga aspek sumber daya alam.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of efficiency, level of inefficiency and solutions that need to be done to improve the efficiency of each sector in the Yogyakarta Province. This research is a quantitative research with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach banxia frontier analysis. Variable used in this research is variable input (labor and investment), and output variable (GRDP). The data used are secondary data for the period 2012 ? 2016 from the Central Bureau Statistic. The research objects include main occupational sectors in Yogyalarta Province. The results of this study show that from nine sectors in DI Yogyakarta Province there are six sectors inefficient, namely the agricultural sector ; mining and quarrying; processing industry; electricity, gas and water; Large trade; and other services during 2012 - 2016. Three of the nine sectors namely the construction sector; transport; and finance reached 100% efficiency during 2012 - 2016. Sectoral inefficiency occurs because the combination of the varabel quantity of the input is not appropriate, so it needs to be adjusted input factor quantity in order to produce the output efficiently 100%. The conclusion of this study shows the efficiency of sectoral techniques in the Province of Yogyakarta in the tendency of low efficiency which decreases each year. Based on the results of the study the authors suggest six of the nine sectors that have not achieved 100% efficiency rating need to adjust the amount of input factor value in order to achieve ouput efficiently 100%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi, tingkat inefisiensi serta solusi yang perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi tiap sektor di Provinsi DI Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) pendekatan banxia frontier analysis.Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah variabel input (tenaga kerja dan investasi), dan variabel output (PDRB). Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder periode tahun 2012 ? 2016. Dari Badan Pusat Statistik. Adapun objek penelitian meliputi sembilan sektor pekerjaan utama di Provinsi DI Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dari sembilan sektor di Provinsi DI Yogyakarta terdapat enam sektor yang inefisien yakni sektor pertanian; pertambangan dan penggalian; industri pengolahan; listrik, gas, dan air; perdagangan besar; dan jasa lainnya selama tahun 2012 ? 2016. Tiga dari sembilan sektor yakni sektor konstruksi; angkutan; dan keuangan mencapai efisien 100% selama tahun 2012 ? 2016. Inefisiensi sektoral terjadi karena pengkombinasian besaran varabel input yang tidak sesuai, sehingga perlu dilakukan penyesuaian besaran faktor input dalam rangka menghasilkan output secara efisien 100%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan efisiensi teknik sektoral di Provinsi DI Yogyakarta kecenderungan efisiensi rendah yang menurun tiap tahunnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penulis menyarankan enam dari sembilan sektor yang belum mencapai nilai efisiensi 100% perlu melakukan penyesuaian besaran nilai faktor input dalam rangka mencapai ouput secara efisien 100%.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to identify the influence of travel cost, income, distance, access, facilities, natural beautiness, and age on the number of individual visits to Curug Silawe and to estimate the economic value of Curug Silawe through individual travel cost method. The population in this study are tourists that visited Curug Silawe with sample of 98 respondents taken by the quota accidental sampling technique. The data collection method used are literature study and questionnaire. The analysis tool used are OLS linear regression and economic value estimation. The results showed the variables that influence the number of individual visits to Curug Silawe are income, distance and age. Income and age has a positive effect. While distance has a negative effect. The economic value of Curug Silawe reached IDR 1,109,930,140.48 per year. This value is obtained from consumer surplus obtained per individual per year of IDR 308,656.88. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh biaya perjalanan, pendapatan, jarak, akses, fasilitas, keindahan alam, dan usia pada jumlah kunjungan individu ke Curug Silawe dan untuk memperkirakan nilai ekonomi Curug Silawe melalui metode biaya perjalanan individu . Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Curug Silawe dengan sampel 98 responden yang diambil dengan teknik quota accidental sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan kuesioner. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear OLS dan estimasi nilai ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel yang mempengaruhi jumlah kunjungan individu ke Curug Silawe adalah pendapatan, jarak dan usia. Penghasilan dan usia memiliki efek positif. Sedangkan jarak memiliki efek negatif. Nilai ekonomi Curug Silawe mencapai Rp1.109.930.140,48 per tahun. Nilai ini diperoleh dari surplus konsumen yang diperoleh per individu per tahun sebesar Rp308.656,88.

Abstract

International Sport Club (ISC) merupakan objek wisata yang kurang berkembang di kota Semarang karena mengalami penurunan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan tiga tahun berturut-turut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi kondisi lingkungan internal dan eksternal objek wisata ISC dan menyusun strategi yang dapat dikembangkan oleh pihak pengelola untuk memikat pengunjung dan menambah pendapatan objek wisata ISC. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pengunjung objek wisata ISC. Hasil analisis SWOT menyimpulkan bahwa ISC berada pada kuadran II, dimana situasi tersebut yaitu dapat memanfaatkan kekuatan untuk memanfaatkan peluang jangka panjang melalui cara diversifikasi. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah perlu adanya pengkajian harga kembali tiket masuk, memanfaatkan promosi melalui media online atau media sosial, diversivikasi fasilitas olahraga dan kerja sama dengan investor untuk pengembangan objek wisata ISC.

Abstract

Abstract

Agriculture-based business development efforts is crucial carried out in support of public welfare. One of the agricultural products which have the potential to be developed towards an industrial scale are fruits and vegetables. During this time, farmers only sell fruit and vegetables in the form of raw products, and product diversification are less in touch. So far, farmers also simply be a price taker, where they do not have the strength in pricing. This causes farmers sometimes manipulated by middlemen, especially when the harvest is abundant. Therefore, it takes effort and innovation to cultivate fruit and vegetables to be more durable, has a high economic value and improve the welfare of farmers. The purpose of this service is: (1) provide training on making chips eggplants and carrots; (2) facilitate the use of freezingfrying machines; (3) help the vegetable farmers in assessing the feasibility of making chips eggplants and carrots (4) facilitate and assist farmers in accessing capital loans to financial institutions (5) business assistance. The methods used in service activities are 1) a method of action which the servants of training the production of chips eggplant and vegetables, 2) methods of assistance where efforts procurement of machines, access to capital and feasibility studies done here and, 3) the method of supervision, which in the method The servant evaluate and solve problems encountered while running a business. After the service is implemented, is expected to solve the existing problems so as to support the promotion of the local economy and local vegetable growers.
