Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian lanjutan ini adalah mengembangkan pembelajaran Penjasorkes berbasis karakter yang berpeluang membelajarkan siswa pada nilai-nilai afektif. Untuk mencapai target, penelitian dirancang melalui penelitian pengembangan dengan lima tahapan, yaitu analisis produk, mengembangkan produk awal, validasi ahli, uji coba skala kecil, revisi produk, dan uji coba skala besar. Subjek penelitian adalah ahli pendidikan karakter dan pendidikan jasmani sekolah dasar. Uji coba skala kecil dilakukan di tiga sekolah dasar dengan 60 orang subjek, sedang uji coba skala besar dilakukan di enam sekolah dasar dengan 120 orang subjek. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar pengamatan atau lembar evaluasi produk yang disusun sendiri. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian berupa modul yang dikembangkan dalam dua macam bentuk. Respon siswa setelah menggunakan produk modul pembelajaran penjasorkes berbasis karakter menunjukkan bahwa setelah menggunakan modul pembelajaran penjasorkes berbasis karakter di atas, sebagian besar siswa dapat menggunakan modul pembelajaran ini. Kata Kunci: pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, karakter, nilai-nilai afektif, sekolah dasar CHARACTER-BASED PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHING AND LEARNING TO PROMOTE AFFECTIVE VALUES AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Abstract: This research aims at developing character-based physical education teaching and learning module to provide the students with an opportunity to learn affective values. To achieve the target, this research and development study was organized in five stages: conducting product analysis, designing the the initial product, expert validation, small scale try-out, product revision, and large scale try-out. The learning modul was validated by the experts on charracter education and physical education teaching and learning in elementary school. The research subjects were Grade V elementary school students. The small scale try-out was done to 60 students in three elementary schools, while the large scale was conducted in six elementary schools involving 120 students. The research instrument was self-prepared observation sheet or the product evaluation sheet. The data were analyzed using a descriptive statistic analysis. The research product consisted of teaching and learning module developed in two forms. The students’ responses after using the module shows that most of them were able to use the character-based physical education teaching and learning module developed. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah 144 orang guru Pendidikan Jasmani Sekolah Dasar di DIY dengan sampel 60 orang yang diambil dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa panduan wawancara dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut (1) kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam menyusun RPP bervisi karakter belum terencana dengan baik; (2) pemahaman guru terkait dengan pembelajaran karakter kepada peserta didik cukup baik; (3) gambaran muatan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran praktik pendidikan jasmani belum jelas; (4) prototipe nilai-nilai karakter yang muncul dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani antara lain kerjasama, sportif, jujur, adil, peduli, bertanggung jawab, hormat, tangguh, bersahabat, kompetitif, gigih, saling menghargai, kebersamaan, berdaya tahan, berempati, dan pantang menyerah. Kata Kunci: pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, nilai-nilai karakter TEACHER’S KNOWLEDGE ON CHARACTER VALUES IN THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHING AND LEARNING AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Abstract: The main goal of research was to identify character values in the physical education (PE) teaching and learning. This was a descriptive research study using a mixed quantitative and quailtative approach. The population consisted of 144 teachers and 60 PE teachers were selected as the sample using a cluster random sampling as the sampling technique. The instruments used were observation sheet and interview guide. The result of the research shows that: (1) the PE teachers’ pedagogical competence in writing Lesson Plans (RPP) containing character vision was still low; (2) the PE teachers’ understanding about character teaching and learning was good; (3) the description about character inclusion in PE practice in elementary school was not clear; (4) the prototype character values at PE comprised: cooperation, sportsmanship, honesty, justice, care, responsibility, respect, firmness, friendliness, competitiveness, perseverance, togetherness, empathy, and resistance. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran muatan nilai-nilai karakter dalam perkuliahan melalui pendekatan sport education di Jurusan Pendidikan Olahraga UNY. Penelitian di- rancang melalui penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif se- cara terpadu. Subjek penelitiannya adalah ahli pada bidang pendidikan olahraga, sedang objek pe- nelitiannya mata kuliah yang menggunakan pendekatan sport education. Pemilihan subjek penelitian melalui teknik purposif. Instrumen penelitian untuk mengungkap tingkat pemahaman dosen tentang perkuliahan yang bermuatan pendidikan karakter menggunakan panduan wawancara. Instrumen untuk mengungkap kompetensi pedagogik, gambaran muatan karakter perkuliahan, dan prototipe nilai karakter menggunakan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkuliahan yang menggunakan pendekatan sport education dapat memunculkan nilai-nilai karakter. Perkuliahan di Jurusan POR FIP UNY dapat dilaksanakan dengan desain perkuliahan sport education dan dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan nilai-nilai karakter. Abstract

AbstractAquatic Learning for Preschoolers. This article discusses an appropriate andfun method in aquatic learning for preschoolers and provides a guideline toimprove the process of aquatic learning for them. This article is based on literatureon aquatic learning for preschoolers. The process of preschool aquatic learningdeals with the development of childrens potentials through three aspects: basicpsychomotor skill, basic attitude, and basic understanding. The basic psychomotorskill consists of: (1) water entry, (2) buoyancy, (3) leg action, (4) balance in thewater, (5) arm action, and (6) breath control. The basic attitude consists of (1)bravery, (2) facility sharing, (3) respect for the rules, (4) attention to instructions,and (5) willingness to participate. The basic understanding consists of (1) classprocedures, (2) swimming pool rules, (3) playing rules, (4) instruction language,and (5) mechanics. The aquatic learning program should also consider cognitiveand affective aspects, besides the psychomotor aspect.Keywords: aquatic learning, preschool

Abstract

Accidents in swimming pools which involve drowning are more likely to happen in Indonesia. Cases of accidents in swimming pools might indicate that there may be lack of  responsibility among the swimmers. Therefore, there is a need to improve this condition. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the Aquares model developed from Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) theory, on the students’ responsibility in swimming lessons. This study used an experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was students of grade four with a sample of 60 students taken through cluster random sampling. The Tool for Assessing Responsibility-Based Education (TARE) was the instrument used to measure personal and social responsibility. The paired sample t-test analysis showed that there is a significant impact of the Aquares model on the increase of the students’ personal and social responsibility. Aspect of the increased responsibility include: respect, participation, self-direction, caring, and role model. The Aquares model applied in this study provides a strong framework for creating a meaningful and responsible environment for learning.

Abstract

AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan model permainan air (water fun games) dalam meningkatkan potensiberenang sekaligus menumbuhkan perilaku karakter siswa. Tujuan khusus yang ingin dicapai: (1) Menyusun bentukbentuk permainan air (water fun games), dan (2) Melakukan uji coba produk permainan air. Untuk mencapai targettersebut, penelitian didesain melalui research development dalam lima pentahapan. Subjek penelitian untukmemperoleh persepsi kebutuhan permainan air adalah siswa dan guru pendidikan jasmani. Subjek penelitian untukmengembangkan permainan air adalah ahli pendidikan jasmani dan ahli pembelajaran akuatik. Subjek ujicobaadalah siswa siswi sekolah dasar. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis varians. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan tersusunnya 33 bentuk permainan air yang terintegrasi perilaku karakter yang diharapkan dapatmeningkatkan keterampilan renang. Unsur permainan air tersebut berisi: nama permainan air, gambar, tujuan, levelpermainan, perlengkapan yang dipakai, kedalaman air, pengaturan tempat, jumlah peserta, cara bermain, potensiketerampilan renang yang dikembangkan, dan perilaku karakter.Kata kunci: permainan air (water fun games),kemampuan berenang, perilaku karakterAbstractThis paper aims to outline the game model (water fun games) in increasing the potential for swimming as well asfoster the behavior of the student’s character. The specifc objectives to be achieved: (1) Develop forms of the game(water fun games), and (2) To test the water game products. To achieve these targets, the study was designedthrough research development in fve phasing.The subject of research to obtain perception needs water gamesare students and teachers of physical education. The subject of research to develop the game of water is a physicaleducation experts and learning experts aquatic. Subject trials are the students of primary school. Data analysis usingdescriptive statistics and analysis of variance. The results showed completion of 33 form the integrated water gamescharacter traits are expected to improve swimming skills. Abstract

Secara umum kondisi fisik seseorang yang telah memasuki masa lanjut usia  mengalami penurunan. Perubahan-perubahan tersebut pada umumnya  mengarah  pada kemunduruan kesehatan fisik dan psikis, sehingga secara  umum akan berpengaruh pada aktivitas kehidupan sehari-hari. Tulisan ini  membahas tentang manfaat  olahraga renang dan bentuk latihan renang yang tepat bagi lanjut usia. Tulisan  diambil dengan mereview beberapa hasil  penelitian dan artikel-artikel olahraga  kesehatan khususnya manfaat olahraga renang bagi lanjut usia. Olahraga renang  merupakan salah satu olahraga kardiovaskuler (jantung dan pembuluh darah) yang bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan VO2 maks dan penurunan denyut nadi  istirahat, yang sebenarnya cocok untuk semua usia khususnya untuk rehabilitasi,  terapi, dan lanjut usia.  Olahraga renang memiliki peran dalam menyelesaikan  berbagai macam  permasalahan seperti stres (dalam segi rohaniah) dan juga mampu  memberi rangsangan pada tubuh dalam menyembuhkan penyakit (dalam segi  jasmaniah). Olahraga renang baik bentuk aktivitasnya maupun media   kolam renang, telah berfungsi sebagai terapi kesehatan (hydrotherapy) guna  mengatasi  masalah-masalah kesehatan seperti hipokinesia (kurang gerak), muskuioskeletal, penyakit dalam, dan masalah psikis. Terdapat sebelas macam bentuk latihan di  air yang dapat dilakukan oleh lanjut usia yang dapat  meningkatkan status  kebugaran jasmani. Namun demikian, dalam melakukan  olahraga renang tidak  boleh mengalami kelelahan yang berlebihan, bila  intensitasnya berlebihan dapat  terjadi sesak napas, nyeri dada, atau pusing.  Pada lanjut usia olahraga renang  dapat dilakukan apabila memperhatikan  syarat-syarat keamanannya. Olahraga  renang dapat direkomendasikan sebagai olahraga yang aman bagi lanjut usia  seperti pada jenis olahraga aerobik lainnya seperti berjalan, bersepeda, atau  senam lansia.Kata Kunci: manfaat renang, lanjut usia, program

Abstract

This training aims at giving preview in the arrangement of swimming teaching model based on religious moral values for students of FIK UNY. There  are  two  approaches  for  activities  method.  First  is  theoretical approach which consists of material presentation, discussion, and question answer. Second one is practical approach which consists of mastering the swimming basic technique, class management based on religious moral values, water games, etc. Each of approaches then was evaluated using  swimming teaching program based on religious moral values. The material presentation focuses on: theoretical and practical material about swimming basic skill, swimming rules, basic safety water, and swimming teaching model based on religious moral values. The indication of training successfulness could be seen from the high motivation of participants in following it and also from the new science and skill about swimming learning model based on religious moral values that was gotten. The program of people service was going well and followed by 31 of participants. Based on result discussion that was presented then there are some high light points: (1) There are lots of students voices that hoping a special class in swimming subject which separates male and female students, (2) They also want to use swimsuit that can close over the body, (3) there is a tension from female students who wear veil then she leave out it because of swimming rule about cloth manner in swimming class, (4) time for swimming class is just same with public visitors who also use same facilities of pool so then it could be like a public show for them, (5) It should be a female teacher for female students and a male teacher for males

Abstract

AbstractThe goal of this water safety training is to give basic skill and knowledgeabout water safety for 25 members of lifeguard in Special Province ofJogjakarta.The method that was used for this training were workshop, discussion,simulation, training in water, and evaluation test method. Evaluationwith direct observation consists of attention, willingness, enthusiasm to thematery who was given by society servants team (PPM), and post test for thelast. Then, evaluation in the pool with several activities that were helpingdrawning victims by equipment and no equipment, giving mouth to mouthbreath, cardiopolmunory respiration, bouancy test, diving test, and swimmingrescue. This training followed by 25 Jogjakartas lifeguards and theywere 2 from Sleman, 2 from Bantul, 8 from Jogja city, 6 from Gunungkiduland 5 FIKs students.The result of discusion are (1) there are many swimming pool thatdont have rescue equipment like lifejacket, rope, stick, and wheel. (2) thereis less knowledge about rescue swimming technique for the lifeguard inJogjakarta., (3) there are many swimming pool which have no life guard, (4)we have high rate entusiasm of participant, and (5) we also have goodmanagement in swimming pool.Keywords: water accident, water safety, and life guard
