Abstract

UT-Online is one of the internet-based student services offered by the Open University (UT) to all students. This study aims to analyze, first, the characteristics of students UT-Online users; second, knowledge of the existence of UT student-Online for each service provided in the UT-Online; Third, the behavior of the students in the use of UT-Online; and the fourth assessment of the benefits of UT student-Online. Survey is the method used in this study that managed to capture the information of 904 students through electronic mail. From this study found important matters as the following, first, the characteristics of students UT UT-Online users related to intensity of use UT-Online is the ease of accessing the internet, age, and sex, and there is a tendency that the number of UT-Online users increases with increasing student enrollment year. Secondly, each facility UT-Online has recognition rate, the use, possession, and diverse training needs. Third, each facility UT-Online can be classified based on the number of users, frequency of use, and time of access by students. Fourth, the benefit of UT-Online scores assessed the level of positive attitude of students toward the facility in the UT-Online. Related to the findings, the researchers recommend the things that can improve the quality and usefulness of UT-Online for students. UT-Online merupakan salah satu layanan mahasiswa berbasis internet yang ditawarkan oleh Universitas Terbuka (UT) kepada seluruh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis, pertama, karakteristik mahasiswa pengguna UT-Online; kedua, pengetahuan mahasiswa terhadap keberadaan UT-Online untuk tiap layanan yang disediakan dalam UT-Online; ketiga, perilaku mahasiswa dalam pemanfaatan UT-Online; dan keempat penilaian mahasiswa terhadap manfaat UT-Online. Survey merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang berhasil menjaring informasi dari 904 mahasiswa melalui surat elektronik. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan hal-hal penting sebagai berikut, pertama, karakteristik mahasiswa UT pengguna UT-Online yang berkaitan intensitas pemanfaatan UT-Online ialah kemudahan mengakses internet, usia, dan jenis kelamin, serta terdapat kecenderungan bahwa jumlah pengguna UT-Online meningkat sejalan dengan meningkatnya tahun masuk mahasiswa. Kedua, setiap fasilitas UT-Online memiliki tingkat pengenalan, penggunaan, penguasaan, dan kebutuhan pelatihan yang beragam. Ketiga, setiap fasilitas UT-Online dapat digolongkan berdasarkan jumlah pengguna, frekuensi penggunaan, dan lama akses oleh mahasiswa. Keempat, kemanfaatan UT-Online dinilai dalam skor tingkat sikap positif mahasiswa terhadap fasilitas dalam UT-Online tersebut. Terkait dengan temuan, peneliti merekomendasikan hal-hal yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan kemanfaatan UT-Online bagi mahasiswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the condition of the management, educators and infrastructure of public primary schools in Banten province based on the parameters of national education standards. The samples of this study consisted of 78 in many schools under studied. The standards that were achieved in the areas of management such as self-evaluation and its utilization for school development planning do not apply optimally. Also teacher educational qualifications and in-job-training, and infrastructure or facilities. The study recommended that those specific matters would be the main concern in future educational improvement in Banten province.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to discover determinant factors of students' participation in online examination based on expectancy-value theory. The method used was group comparison between the groups of participating and nonparticipating students. The results showed that the following factors differentiated the two groups, i.e.: (1) self efficacy in using computers (t=12.81, p less than 0.01), (2) perceived of easiness in operating an online examination (t=9.51, p less than 0.01), (3) perceived of the importance of online examination (t=5.58, t less than 0.01), (4) intrinsic value of online examination (t=10.58, p less than 001), and (5) cost of online examination (t=-2.05, p=0.029). In addition, the following students' personal factors were also compared and the results were (1) age (t=-2.01, p=0.46), (2) grade point average (t=-5.546, 0 less than 0.01), (3) sex (x2=28.51, p less than 0.01), and (4) marital status (x2=6.50, p=0.011). The results concluded that the expectancy and value theory was useful for explaining and predicting students' participation in online examinations.

Abstract

Common mathematical knowledege(CMK), specialized mathematical knowledge (SMK), dan horizon mathematical knowledge(HMK) merupakan bagian dari komponen pengetahuan matematika untuk mengajar yang perlu dikuasai oleh guru untuk mengajar matematika secara efektif. Di lain pihak, self-efficacy for teaching mathematics(SETM) guru merupakan karakteristik guru yang mempengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis hubungan CMK, SMK, HMK, dan SETM pada guru dalam mengajar matematika di sekolah dasar. Subyek penelitian ialah guru-guru yang mengajar matematika pada kelas 5 atau 6 di provinsi Jambi yang mengikuti pelatihan pengayaan matematika yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Terbuka. Para guru tersebut diberikan tes mengenai CMK, SMK, dan HMK untuk mengajar pembagian bilangan pecahan dan mengisi kuesioner SETM. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan PLS-SEM untuk mendapatkan model struktural hubungan variabel yang diteliti. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa (1) HMK berefek positif tefhadap SETM, (2) HMK juga berefek positif terhadap CMK dan SMK, dan (3) CMK dan SMK tidak memiliki efek positif terhadap SETM.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) pengaruh metode resitasi terhadap hasil belajar matematika, 2) pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika, 3) pengaruh interaksi antara metode resitasi dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas V SD Islam Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 di Kecamatan Cikarang Pusat Kabupaten Bekasi yang terakreditasi “A”. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling.  Penelitian dilakukan di Kelas V SDIT Al-Kautsar, di mana Kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas VC sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel bebas perlakuan adalah metode resitasi dan metode ekspositori. Kemandirian belajar sebagai variabel bebas moderator. Hasil belajar matematika sebagai variabel terikat. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar pengamatan metode resitasi dan metode ekspositori, kuesioner kemandirian belajar, dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Analisa data menggunakan uji-F dan uji-t dengan teknik ANOVA. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) tidak ditemukan pengaruh yang signifikan metode resitasi terhadap hasil be-lajar matematika, 2) pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika sebesar 0,2% dengan persamaan regresi Y = 73 + 0,2X3, 3) tidak ditemukan pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan antara metode resitasi dan metode ekspositori dan keman-dirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Kata kunci: resitasi, hasil belajar, kemandirian belajarAbstrac: This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of the recitation method on mathematics learning outcomes, 2) the influence of independent learning on mathematics learning outcomes, 3) the effect of the interaction between recitation methods and learning independence on mathematics learning outcomes. The research population was all fifth grade Islamic elementary school students for the 2018/2019 academic year in Kecamatan Cikarang Pusat, Kabupaten Bekasi, which was accredited "A". Sampling using purposive sampling. The study was conducted in Class V SDIT Al-Kautsar, where Class VB was the experimental class and Class VC was the control class. The independent variables of treatment were the recitation method and the expository method. Learning independence as a moderator independent variable. Mathematics learning outcomes as the dependent variable. The research instrument consisted of an observation sheet for the recitation method and the expository method, a learning independence questionnaire, and a mathematics learning outcome test. Data analysis used F-test and t-test with ANOVA technique. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 1) there was no significant effect of the recitation method on mathematics learning outcomes, 2) the influence of independent learning on mathematics learning outcomes was 0.2% with the regression equation Y = 73 + 0.2X3, 3) no effect was found. significant interaction between the recitation method and the expository method and independent learning on mathematics learning outcomes.Keywords: recitation, learning outcomes, independent learning

Abstract

This research discussed the obstacles of learning Mathematics experienced by VII grade students in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year at SMP Katolik St Paulus Palangka Raya in learning integers operation. These difficulties could be based on the mistakes made by students in solving the problems given. The purpose of the study was an in-depth analysis of learning obstacles experienced by students, teachers’ learning methods in explaining integers, and student barriers to applying integers in future life. The approach used a qualitative study that emphasized the character of descriptive research. In accordance with the approach used in this study, the analysis used was inductive. The data collection technique was carried out by triangulation, namely a combination of written test, interview, and documentation studies. The results showed that the three subjects experienced learning obstacles, type 1 students did not understand the nature of integer operations, especially negative integers; type 2 students had difficulty in determining integer operation formula analysis, type 3 students were not able to operate the operation in problem solving. The three students are students at a low level who experience learning difficulties as seen from the acquisition of test scores which are always below average. The cause of learning obstacles is due to students experiencing memory weakness, lack of motivation and low interest in learning. Abstract

The main objective of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of organizational transformation on performance with motivation and compensation as mediating variables in the project management office (“PMO”) personnel of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (“PGN”) by using a quantitative descriptive approach. The data in this study were obtained from PMO organic employees who work at PGN. The total population of PMO organic employees at the time the research was conducted was 118 (one hundred and eighteen) people. While the samples taken in this study were organic employees with positions ranging from 'Staff' to 'Vice President'. The data analysis in this study used an alternative method of structural equation modeling (SEM), namely partial least squares (PLS). The first stage in this research is to test the validity of each variable's statement indicator along with their reliability. The second stage examines the relationship between the existing hypotheses for both direct effects and indirect effects between research variables. The results of this study indicate that PGN’s organizational transformation has a significant effect on PMO employee performance, either through motivation or compensation as mediation or without the mediation.

Abstract

The research aims to determine whether: (1) there is an effect of contextual learning and direct learning on student learning outcomes, (2) the learning outcomes of students who have high initial abilities are better than those of students with moderate or low initial abilities, and (3)) there is an interaction between the learning model and students' initial abilities on learning outcomes. The research method used is quantitative research methods. This research was conducted at SMP N 2 Padangsidimpuan with a sample of 2 classes, namely class IX-10 with 26 students and class IX - 9 with 28 students. Both classes were given a preliminary ability test and a final test in the form of essay questions. After the research data is obtained, the hypothesis is tested by two-way ANOVA. From the results of the ANOVA calculation, it was concluded that: (1) The direct learning model and the contextual learning model had a significant influence on student learning outcomes, seen from the value of F count = 4.132 > F table = 4.03, (2) The learning outcomes of students who have High initial ability is better than the learning outcomes of students who have moderate or low initial abilities in the curved side space material, seen from the value of F count = 61.634 > F table = 4.03, and (3) there is no interaction between the learning model and the ability The beginning of the student learning outcomes in the curved side space material, seen from the value of F count = 0.052 < F table = 4.03.
