Abstract

Based on case studies that have been conducted in SMK Pertanian Pembangunan Negeri Lembang, waste treatment subjects still used a conventional method, and the students were less enthusiastic in the learning process. Therefore, the implementation of more interactive learning models such as blended learning with Edmodo is one of alternative models to resolve the issue thus the purpose of this study is to formulate the appropriate learning syntax for the implementation of blended learning with Edmodo to agree the requirement characteristics of students and waste treatment subject and explain the learning outcome obtained by students in the cognitive, affective and psychometric aspects on the subjects of waste treatment. This study was conducted by the method of classroom action research (CAR) with a Mc. Tagart model. The results of this study concluded that the implementation of blended learning with Edmodo on the subjects of waste treatment can improve the students’ learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective and psychometric aspects with the maximum increase in the value of N-gain 0.82, as well as students’ learning completeness criteria reached 100% in cycle 2. The formulation of the appropriate learning syntax for the blended learning model implementation with Edmodo in the waste treatment subject are (1) Self-paced learning, (2) Group networking, (3) Live Event-collaboration, (4) Association- communication, (5) Assessment-Performance material supports

Abstract

Tea is a beverage containing bioactive compounds with beneficial health benefits. This study aims to determine total polyphenols and antioxidant activity changes of yoghurt enriched with black and green tea infusion during fermentation. Observation was carried out on the fermentation 0, 4, 8, and 12 hours. The results showed that total polyphenol and antioxidant activity of yoghurt enriched with black and green tea infusion is higher than plain yoghurt (control). During fermentation, total polyphennol increased significantly from 36.42 mg GAE/g and 36.91 mg GAE/g at 0 hour fermentation to 106 mg GAE/g and 107 mg GAE/g at 12 hours fermentation on yoghurt enriched with black and green tea infusion, respectively. Yoghurt enriched with black and green tea infusion had the highest DPPH scavenging activity when compared to yoghurt control at the end of fermentation (12 hours) i.e.96.87%; 95.56%; and 18.98%, respectively. Based these findings, yoghurt enriched with black and green tea infusion can be applied to improve total polyphenol and antioxidant activities at the end of fermentation (12 hours).

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) in the era of globalization has had a major influence in all aspects of life, including in the world of education. In the development of information and communication technology, Android-based learning media was developed as a means of learning for students. The limited number of books that can be used by students and in conditions like now where the learning process is carried out online requires learning media that can be used and accessed easily by students. The objectives of this study are: (1) developing android-based learning media, (2) understanding the feasibility of android-based learning media, and (3) evaluating the digital literacy of students by using android-based learning media as a learning resource. The development of this android-based learning media uses a research and development model with stages including identification of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, small-scale trials, product revisions, large-scale trials, and product revision. The results of this study indicate that the learning media developed was found "Decent" by material experts, media experts and linguists and students stated "Very Decent" to be used as learning media in the subject of Plantation and Herbal Commodity Processing Production. Furthermore, the learning media is applied in learning by using One Shot Case Study. Based on the results obtained, the digital literacy that students have is already in the "Very High" category for the aspect of using. As for the understanding aspect, the indicators of analyzing and creating are in the “High” category and the indicators for reflecting and acting are in the “Very High” category

Abstract

Onion skin is often a problem of waste in households because of the low level of public understanding of how to utilize onion skin waste. Onion skin waste can be used as a mixed fertilizer that can accelerate plant growth because it contains compounds and substances that provide fertility. In addition to liquid fertilizer, there is manure that can be used in the process of plant growth to replace inorganic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the comparison of the effectiveness between shallot skin fertilizer and manure on leek plants. Onion (Allium fistulosum L.) is a vegetable commodity that has high economic value. The research method used is experimentation which is a method in quantitative research by examining cause and effect and comparing the results of each component. The parameters observed were plant height and the number of leaves that grew on the leek plants. The results of this study indicate that the difference in effectiveness between liquid onion skin fertilizer and manure has a significant effect on leek plants.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country with one of its sub-sectors being plantations and coffee being one type of plantation crop that has long been cultivated. This has resulted in a high culture of drinking coffee resulting in an increase in coffee grounds. There are still many coffee shops/cafes that throw away coffee grounds, even though coffee grounds can still be utilized, one of which is as an organic face mask. Coffee grounds contain antioxidants that can maintain skin health, moisturize and smooth the skin. The purpose of this study is to utilize coffee grounds and reduce environmental pollution which causes the greenhouse effect and to find out how many people like organic face masks from coffee grounds and rice flour. In this study, the face mask was made with a formulation of 50% coffee grounds and 50% rice flour. The test parameters in this study are organoleptic tests of aroma, color, texture, liking, pH test and effectiveness test. The results showed an average pH value of 5.0. The average color organoleptic test was 2.52, texture 2.88, aroma 3.32 and average liking 3.2. The drying time of the mask is 15 minutes. This coffee grounds face mask is well accepted by panelists.

Abstract

Improving the economy and people's welfare in West Java is the goal of agro-industry development that focuses on SMEs. However, the development of agro-industry often encounters complex and difficult obstacles to solve. Therefore, a systematic approach is needed to help identify and overcome problems that arise during the development of SME agribusiness in West Java. One method that can be used is the flexible systems approach (SSM). This article describes the use of SSM in the development of SME agro-industry in West Java, including an introduction, research methodology, findings and discussion, and conclusions. This article provides an overview of how SSM can help address the challenges of SME agro-industry development in West Java. ABSTRAKMeningkatkan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat di Jawa Barat merupakan tujuan pengembangan agroindustri yang berfokus pada UKM. Namun, pengembangan agroindustri seringkali mengalami kendala yang rumit dan sulit dipecahkan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan suatu pendekatan sistematis untuk membantu mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi permasalahan yang muncul selama pengembangan agribisnis UKM di Jawa Barat. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan adalah pendekatan fleksibel sistem (SSM). Artikel ini menjelaskan pemanfaatan SSM dalam pengembangan agroindustri UKM di Jawa Barat, termasuk pengenalan, metodologi penelitian, hasil temuan dan pembahasan, serta kesimpulan. Artikel ini memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana SSM dapat membantu mengatasi tantangan pengembangan agroindustri UKM di Jawa Barat.
