Abstract

XYZ.

Abstract

However, a closer examination reveals that many firms are battling inventory bottleneck as the covid pandemic spike in demand converges, which results in unpredictability and unstable sale fluctuation. This situation forced the hotel industry to find a balance between fulfilling demand and inventory turnover, which is impossible to predict accurately. Therefore, this research aims to combine system dynamics modelling with a hotel food supply chain system to solve the unpredictability of supply chain dynamics. In addition, The Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) and Stock and Flow Diagram (SFD) are used in this study to model the complexity of the case study supply chain, with an objective model to minimize the instability of inventory turnover and to stabilize the sales movement. This study proposes five policy scenario simulations where standard deviation (SD) and Standard of Error (SE) are used as the decision-making parameters. The simulation result suggests that the fifth scenario provides the highest SD (49.484) and the lowest SE (6.336). Therefore, controlling the customer response time variable to a maximum of 25 minutes and the menu unavailability variable to 15 occurrences per week will result in higher stability of the case study inventory turnover.

Abstract

The recent Covid-19 pandemics situation has brought a lot of discussion on how to manage a supply chain in uncertainty since the dynamic of pandemics risk has altered the way a supply chain is organized. This research aims to identify, asses and manage the possible risks on supply chain that may occur in relation to production process of U-Hansa (USK Hand Sanitizer) following a high demand of hand sanitizer during the pandemics. This research performed risk breakdown structure to identify risks, evaluated the risks using risk matrix 5x5 (MIL-STD-882B) and create risk mapping using the big picture approach. This research revealed that there are 15 risks involved in U-Hansa production process that can potentially disrupt the whole supply chain process of U-Hansa. Factors such as raw material shortage during the Covid-19 lockdown, insufficient production capacity and the limitation of machinery and equipment to support the production contributes to the noticeable risk potential in the overall U-Hansa supply chain network. The overall findings of this research are expected to help the decision-making process that can be utilized in the post-Covid-19 pandemics setting.

Abstract

Indonesia is renowned for being home to the largest Islamic population globally, but the absence of a halal certification logo on products continues to be a cause for concern. For Muslim customers, their basic knowledge of halal ingredients written on the product is the only guide they can be relied on. Hence, it is crucial to understand the essential factors that influence their purchasing behavior regarding halal-certified products. This study uses the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to examine Muslim customers' behavior, as a case study, in Banda Aceh. The TPB questionnaire, including attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and purchase intention attributes, was distributed online to respondents in the Banda Aceh area using non-probability random sampling. Through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) methodology and AMOS software, this research reveals a strong correlation between attitude and subjective norm with Muslim customers' purchasing intention. Moreover, purchasing intention shows a strong relationship with purchasing behavior. Consequently, attitude, subjective norm, and customers' intention are the critical factors that influence Muslim customers' behavior when purchasing halal-certified products in Indonesia.

Abstract

In recent years, there has been a significant focus on researching and developing Sign Language Gesture Recognition (SLGR) for people with hearing and speaking impairments. This is especially important in Indonesia, where there are approximately two million people with these disabilities. However, current research and developments on SLGR devices are specifically designed to understand only particular sign language systems, such as Korean Standard Sign Language (KSDSL) and American Sign Language (ASL), each of which has its unique gestures and models. As a result, no device has been developed to recognize the gestures of the Indonesian sign language system, known as Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia (SIBI). Therefore, this study aims to develop an SLGR device that can recognize and translate SIBI gestures into output images via text and speech. The development of the SLGR device in this study is conducted by using the Conceptual Design Approach (CDA) methodology. Where in this case, previous research on SLGR devices is first observed as a benchmark for comparison. Furthermore, the benchmark is used as the basis for the function, sub-function, and specification of the proposed design. Based on these stages of benchmarking and concept development, the study concluded that the final design of the proposed SLGR device is constructed by using 5 flex and Gyroscope sensors connected wirelessly to the Raspberry microcontroller. The device is equipped with a voice system and LCR RPi as the output system for translation. Based on the combination of these sensors, the device is able to identify any particular gestures that correspond to words and phrases in SIBI and translate them into speech via the designated speaker and text display on the LCD screen. To fully understand the performance of the device, experimental tests are conducted by analyzing the input of 26 alphabets in the SIBI system. As a result, the device demonstrated an average of 92% accuracy to convert sign language into voice and text, which demonstrates the usefulness of the proposed device

Abstract

Seblak is a food that has seen an increase in demand in recent years, and is a promising culinary business that can be run with a small capital. UD. XYZ is a seblak business that started selling seblak in early 2022 in West Aceh and wants to maximize the profits from its seblak sales. One method that can do this is Linear Programming, which can determine decision-making that can group limited materials or resources to achieve an optimal or best solution. From UD. XYZ's weekly sales data, it can be transformed into a mathematical model that helps to find the maximum function of the profit from seblak sales. The linear programming calculation process in this study uses the Lingo 18.0 software to solve linear programming problems, which will be continued with the linear graph visualization of the objective function with the MATLAB software. The results of the study show that the maximum profit that will be obtained by UD. XYZ in one week is Rp. 420,000/week, this profit is already categorized as net profit that can be used for the development of UD. XYZ's seblak business. Of the three variables X1 (seblak noodles and crackers), X2 (seblak eggs), and X3 (seblak chicken/feet), variables X1 and X2 have the potential to increase maximum profit if increased. In this study, the objective point is also on the point axis (X1=0, X2=0, and X3 = 175).

Abstract

The current initiative on SMEs development suggest that effective partnership programs play a pivotal role in enhancing SME competitiveness. However, current research in the area of partnership programs, specifically their impact on SMEs performance, remains limited. Therefore, partnerships need to be examined with an emphasis on moderator variables to assess their impact on various aspects. This research presents an objective to determine a partnership program impact on SME performance. To fully understand the dynamic of the study, this research propose a Partnership Program model consists of three exogenous variables: Entrepreneurial Competence (KK), Partnership Program (PK), and Digital Competence (KD), and one endogenous variable: SME Business Performance. To analyse the data in the research, this research employs the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis method. The PLS model is utilized to examine and determine the extent of influence among variables. The research population comprises 88 coffee-based SMEs participating in a partnership program in Bener Meriah Regency. The result of this research indicates that the significance test for the relationships within the Structural Model reveals strong statistical significance among various research parameters. Notably, the impact of digital competence (KD) on SMEs performance (KB) demonstrates the most robust relationship, with a substantial Std Beta value of 0.902. This pattern is consistent with the perspective of partnership programs (PK), where it exhibits significant effects on SMEs performance (KB) (0.429), digital competences (KD) (0.294), and entrepreneurial competences (KK) (0.451).
