Abstract

Pesisir pantai ujung Seurudong merupakan salah satu kawasan yang terletak di Gampong Sawang Ba’u Kecamatan Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Selatan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai objek keanekaragaman hayati. Kawasan ini menjadi salah satu habitat berbagai jenis burung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis burung di kawasan ujung Seurudong Kecamatan Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Indeks Poin of Abundance. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus Shannor-Weaver H’ =∑ Pi Ln Pi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 29 spesies dari 18 famili yang dijumpai. Indeks keanekaragaman burung yang berada di kawasan tersebut tergolong sedang yaitu 2,1345.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada peserta didik kelas VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Penelitian ini adalah research and development dengan menerapkan model Borg dan Gall yang dimodifikasi oleh sugiyono, dilaksanakan di MTs kota Banda Aceh pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022, jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 60 peserta didik. Pengembangan instrumen disesuaikan dengan materi dan indikator pembelajaran materi pencemaran lingkungan. Instrumen berbentuk tes uraian yang berisi isu dan masalah pencemaran lingkungan yang terdapat disekitar peserta didik, meliputi: memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, menyelesaikan masalah, dan mengevaluasi. Instrumen yang telah disusun selanjutnya dilakukan validasi ahli (media dan konten). Hasil validasi ahli diperoleh skor 79,5%, instrumen yang dikembangkan dikategorikan cukup layak dengan sedikit perbaikan. Setelah memperbaiki instrumen berdasarkan masukan dan saran validator selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba lapangan untuk mengetahui validitas dan reabilitas instrumen. Hasil analisis uji lapangan (validitas dan reablitas) instrumen diperoleh sebanyak 18 dari 20 item instrumen valid dengan nilai reabilitas 0,69 (kategori tinggi).

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah sarana menyebarluaskan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi hasil penelitian kepada masyarakat luas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen Program Studi Teknik Industri Fakultas Teknik Universitas Teuku Umar. Kegiatan ini bertemakan Digitalisasi Bisnis UMKM Aceh Barat-Selatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Aula Korpus IBT Universitas Teuku Umar, Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Provinsi Aceh. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan branding para pelaku bisnis UMKM Aceh Barat-Selatan. Peserta kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri dari pelaku bisnis, mahasiswa yang berminat menggeluti bisnis UMKM serta tenant korpus IBT universitas Teuku Umar yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Desember 2022. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian diawali dengan pemaparan materi yang dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab. Pengetahuan tentang branding bisnis digital disampaikan kepada para peserta dengan harapan dapat diterapkan dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil bisnis dan penyebarluasan cakupan pemasaran produk-produk unggulan. Peserta sangat antusias dalam mendengar materi yang disampaikan terlihat dari banyaknya pertanyaan yang diajukan seputar branding bisnis digital. Saling berbagi informasi antara pemateri dan para pelaku bisnis UMKM membuka wawasan dan meningkatkan keterampilan branding produk yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan penghasilan para pelaku bisnis UMKM.

Abstract

Masyarakat Blang Crum telah menggunakan tumbuhan obat secara turun temurun berdasarkan kearifan lokal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyediakan informasi terkait tumbuhan obat yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Blang Crum, Kecamatan Muara Dua, Kota Lhokseumawe, Aceh. Metode penelitian menggunakan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tumbuhan obat yang digunakan terdiri atas 72 spesies dalam 38 famili. Bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan berupa daun (44%), buah (20%), rimpang (7%), biji (6%), bunga (5%), umbi (5%), getah (5%), seluruh bagian tumbuhan (4%), batang (2%), akar (1%), dan kulit batang (1%). Proses pengolahannya dilakukan dengan cara direbus (39%), digiling (29%), diremas (8%), ditumbuk (8%), ditetes (5%), diperas (4%), diparut (2%), dimakan langsung (2%), dikunyah (2%), dan dibakar (1%). Dalam pemanfaatannya, masyarakat meramu tumbuhan obat secara tunggal dan mencampur dengan tumbuhan lainnya. Tumbuhan obat tersebut digunakan untuk berbagai macam pengobatan seperti penyakit ringan (batuk, sakit kepala, penyakit kulit, dan demam), penyakit dalam (percernaan, pernapasan, reproduksi, kolesterol, diabetes, ginjal, jantung, dan malaria), dan bahan untuk kosmetik (penghilang jerawat dan ketombe, serta penyubur dan pewarna rambut).

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of innovative digital technology-based learning media. There are not many digital interactive modules that have been developed to support learning. The limited availability of digital interactive modules can limit the use of technology in learning and hinder the achievement of learning goals in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. For this reason, it is necessary to develop digital-based interactive modules that provide opportunities for students to discover for themselves the concepts they are studying. Learners become more active and independently build knowledge. Research and development used the Borg and Gall model, which consists of product development, product validation, design revision, testing, and product revision. The research instrument consisted of a module validation questionnaire (content and media) and a response questionnaire. Module validation involves lectures at Teuku Umar University who are experts in their fields as content and media expert. The experts validation results obtained a combined score of 87.5%, indicating that the module can be used without repair. The product field test was carried out in the odd semester of the 2023–2024 academic year with 60 students at SMP Negeri 1 Aceh Barat. Field test results showed that 91% of students gave positive responses to the module. The development of digital-based interactive problem-based learning modules meets the requirements, can be used to facilitate active, creative learning, leads to the development of students' skills independently, and is relevant to technological developments.

Abstract

The low students' learning achievement is one of the problems that is occurred in learning process that is caused by the inappropriate learning strategy that was applied in the classroom in delivering the lesson, therefore the expected goal cannot be achieved. Learning in the classroom should be able to guide the students to be more creative and independent through a series of scientific activity. The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models and radical constructivism module on students' learning outcome in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah, Banda Aceh. The data were collected since November 2019 until April 2020. The method used in this study was an experimental method with randomized post-test only control- group design. This research was conducted in two classes: experimental class with PBL model learning with radical constructivism module and the control class with PBL model learning only. The number of samples for this research were 160 students. The samples were chosen through random sampling method by observing the students’ chances in each class and the Madrasah as the experiment and control classes. The objective tests were used as an instrument to measure students' learning outcome. The data were collected through post-test about the pollution of environment. The independent sample t-test was used to test the hypotheses to see the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models and radical constructivism module on students’ learning outcome.  The results analysis based on the outcome learning score was the value of Sig 0,05, t valuet table, 4,741,97. Hence, the students who took part in learning PBL model and radical constructivism module showed significantly better in their learning outcomes compared to students who took part in learning PBL model only.

Abstract

The discourse on developing Kuala Bubon mangrove forest area in West Aceh as an ecotourism location has received a lot of sympathy and support among the community, considering that this forest has a high level of diversity of flora and fauna, one of which is bird species. In several ecotourism locations, birds attract tourists by enjoying various entertainment related to birds, such as bird watching, tours of bird habitats, and observing birds in the wild. The research was carried out in the Kuala Bubon mangrove forest, West Aceh, in September 2023. This research used a quantitative approach, calculating the level of diversity and mapping distribution based on bird location coordinates. The data collection method uses the point count and line transect method. Analysis of bird species diversity data using the Shannon-Wienner Diversity Index (H') formula was then carried out by mapping the coordinates of bird presence using the Quantum Gis software. The research results obtained 37 bird species from 22 families with a diversity index of 3.07 (high diversity), two species with the status of Near Threatened (Aegithina Viridissima) and Vulnerable Under (Acridotheres javanicus). Mapping bird species diversity with Quantum Gis provides opportunities for developing bird ecotourism, such as planning optimal bird-watching routes after knowing the distribution of bird species.

Abstract

Problem solving skills (PSS) are one of the high-level thinking skills that must be possessed by students. This skill will help students apply scientific content to solve problems in real life. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of problem based learning (PBL) models with a radical construktivism module on PSS. Data were collected in February to March 2022. The method in this study used an experimental method with nonrandomized post test only control-group design. This research was conducted in two classes: the experimental class using PBL model learning with radical constructivism module and the control class that only using PBL model learning. The samples were 160 students. The instrument was tests to assess PSS. Data analysis used independent sample t-test to determine effect of PBL model learning with radical constructivism module on PSS. T-test results showed that value sig 0,05. The result showed that students who received PBL model learning and the radical constructivism module obtained significantly better PSS compared to students who only received PBL model learning
