Abstract

Latar belakang: Keluarga merupakan bagian penting yang berperan dalam kesehatan remaja. Komunikasi dalam keluarga dan keharmonisan dalam keluarga berkaitan erat dengan perkembangan kesehatan mental remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara komunikasi dalam keluarga dengan keharmonisan dalam keluarga pada remaja sekolah menengah atas di Malang.Method: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan crossectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah remaja SMA yang bersekolah di MAN 2 Kota Malang, SMKN 11 Kota Malang dan Bululawang, Malang, Jawa Timur yang berusia 15 – 16 tahun. Teknik total sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel penelitian dengan jumlah sampel 921 partisipan. Kuisioner self-reported komunikasi dalam keluarga dan keharmonisan dalam keluarga digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kedua variable.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  sebagian besar remaja memiliki komunikasi dalam keluarga yang adekuat (87,3%) dan memiliki keluarga yang harmonis (94.2%). Hasil analisis biavariat menunjukan bahwa tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara komunikasi dalam keluarga dengan keharmonisan keluarga dengan  nilai p-value 0.246.Kesimpulan : komunikasi dalam keluarga tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan keharmonisan keluarga pada remaja. Penelitian ini memberikan tambahan literatur terkait hubungan antara komunikasi dan keharmonisan dalam keluarga serta dapat menjadi dasar dalam pemberian intervensi masalah kesehatan mental pada remaja.

Abstract

Background: Family communication can become a support system for adolescents. Ineffective communication in the family causes emotional problems and poor psychological well-being in adolescents. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the determinant factor of effective family communication in adolescents. Methods: This was a cross-sectional multi-centre design with 357 participants aged 15-16 from fve high schools in Indonesia. We used the convenience sampling method to select participants. Communication in the family questionnaire, Rosenberg Self Esteem Instrument, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21), and the Scale for Suicide Ideation (SSI) questionnaires were used to measure communication within the family, selfesteem, stress, anxiety, depression, and suicide ideation, respectively. Data were analyzed using Chi-square and binary logistics regression. Results: Most of the adolescents were male (52.1%), had harmonious families (96.6%), had economic status above the minimum wage (65.5%), had high self-esteem (88.5%), and had high social support (67.8%). However, in terms of mental health problems, as many as 47.3%, 74.2%, 72%, and 30.5% of adolescents experienced stress, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation, respectively. The multivariate analysis concluded that gender (AOR: 0.499; 95% CI: 0.294-0.847) and socioeconomic status (AOR: 0.2.162; 95% CI: 1.296–3.608) were signifcantly correlated with family communication. Conclusion: Males adolescents are more likely to have ineffective family communication than female adolescents. Also, adolescents with a family socioeconomic status below the minimum wage have a greater risk of ineffective family communication. Therefore, it is essential to improve family communication through assertive communication training in adolescents and families in the educational and community setting.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Remaja yang mengalami disabilitas secara fisik akan mengalami permasalahan pada aspek harga diri ketika tidak mendapatkan dukungan yang optimal dari keluarga. Harga diri merupakan salah satu aspek pada konsep diri yang cukup penting bagi remaja. Hal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan fisik maupun mental. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat harga diri pada remaja dengan disabilitas fisik (tunadaksa) di Yayasan Pembinaan Anak Cacat (YPAC) Malang. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik observasional dengan metode pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan total sampling yakni sebanyak 22 remaja disabilitas fisik. Tingkat harga diri menggunakan Rosenberg’s self-esteem scale dan dukungan keluarga yang menggunakan kuisoner penelitian. Hasil: Hasil uji statistik menggunakan spearmen yaitu diperoleh nilai p = 0,030 dimana kurang dari 0,05 sedangkan nilai koefisien korelasi didapatkan (r) = 0,462. Pembasahan: Dukungan keluarga memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan aspek harga diri pada remaja disabilitas fisik yang berada di Yayasan Penyandang Anak Cacat. Remaja dengan disabilitas fisik yang sebagian besar tinggal sehari-hari di rumah ini mendapat dukungan yang optimal dari keluarga terutama berupa dukungan emosional. Kesimpulan: Adanya arah hubungan pada kedua variabel tersebut yaitu positif. Semakin tinggi dukungan keluarga maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat harga diri remaja dengan disabilitas fisik di YPAC Kota Malang. Disarankan pada keluarga remaja disabilitas fisik untuk tetap memberikan dukungan keluarga yang optimal. Self-esteem as a part of elf concepts become the most important aspect for teenagers. It influences both physical and mental health. The purpose of this study is to know the correlation between family supports and self-esteem on teenagers with physically disability. Method: This research used observational analytic design with cross sectional approach method.The study population used the total sampling as many as 22 teenagers with physical disability.The level of self-esteem used Rosenberg's self-esteem scale and the family support who used research questionnaire. Result: The result of statistical test results used spearmen that is obtained p value = 0,030 which is less than 0.05, while the correlation coefficient value obtained (r) = 0,462. Discussion: family supports have a strong correlation with self esteem on teenagers with physycal disability who live in their home with their family. Mostly, teenagers with physycal disability have an optimum family supports from their family, especially emotional support. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is correlation between family supports with level of self-esteem on physically disabled Teenagers in YPAC Malang. The higher the support of famil, the higher of self-esteem level on teenagers with physycal disability in YPAC Malang. It is suggested to families of physical disability teenager to keep providing optimum family support.

Abstract

Lupus is a disease of thousand faces with various clinical manifestations and can interfere survivor's appearance, activity, and life. It can cause an inability to realize the strengths and positives that survivors have. This study's aim was to determine the psychoreligious therapy effect on the self-esteem of lupus survivors at Kupu Parahita Indonesia Foundation. The method used was quasi-experimental without a control group with One-group pretest-posttest design on 16 lupus survivors at Kupu Parahita Indonesia Foundation, selected by simple random sampling according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Respondents were given psychoreligious therapy videos for a month, every weekend with 4 videos in total. We measured the respondent’s self-esteem using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) which was translated into Indonesian before and after therapy (Cronbach alpha=0.7, validity=0.422-0.63). The results showed that mean of pre-test score was 27.44, the post-test was 31.94, and the data were normally distributed (p>0.05). The results of the paired T-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores (p=0.000). In conclusion, the administration of psychoreligious therapy increases the self-esteem of lupus survivors at Kupu Parahita Indonesia Foundation.

Abstract

Orphan and children living in orphanages are a high-risk group vulnerable to psychosocial problems. Individual who lived in this community are not only orphans but also children and people from low-income families. This group could be perpetrators, witnesses and victims of bullying and other mis behaviour lead to psychosocial problems. This activity aims to improve mental health status of children and people at the Al Husna orphanage through training of early detection, prevention and early treatment for psychosocial problems through implementation of psychosocial intervention and counselling. The results are that they have experienced risk for suicide, hallucination, delusion, anxiety, and social isolation. Through the empowerment program that has been carried out by dealing with the orphan and vulnerable children, socialization and training regarding psychological well-being, early detection, prevention, and treatment could be well-implemented during their activity of daily living.

Abstract

Self-efficacy pasien lupus perlu ditingkatkan agar individu memiliki keyakinan dalam mendukung penerimaan terhadap keadaan sakit yang dialaminya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi psikoreligi terhadap self-efficacy pasien lupus di Yayasan Kupu Parahita Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuasi eksperimental tanpa kelompok kontrol dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Sebanyak 16 sampel pasien lupus di Yayasan Kupu Parahita Indonesia dipilih acak atau simple random sampling, yang selanjutnya disesuaikan dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan, kuesioner pengukur self-efficacy yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner General Self-Efficacy (GSE). Terapi psikoreligi yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menonton rangkaian video terapi berdurasi 28 sampai 30 menit seminggu sekali selama sebulan. Analisis statistik yang digunakan yaitu uji t berpasangan dengan α = 0,05. Hasil rerata self-efficacy (skor GSE) sebelum dan sesudah terapi adalah 28,25+1,81 dan 33,06+3,39 (p = 0,000).  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terapi psikoreligi efektif dalam meningkatkan self-efficacy pasien lupus. Hasil ini dapat dijadikan dasar terapi alternatif untuk meningkatkan self-efficacy pasien lupus dalam menghadapi sakitnya.

Abstract

Adolescents undergo a phase of complex developmental transitions, where this has an impact on increasing vulnerability to emotional and behavioral problems. However, the high prevalence of mental health problems in adolescents is not accompanied by high behavior seeking help regarding adolescent mental health literacy. Orphanages are considered as places that are able to assist and guide the development of adolescents physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, spiritually and culturally. Activities to strengthen emotional mental health provide scientific input in psychiatric nursing courses to strengthen mental nursing interventions in adolescents so that they have optimal psychosocial health development. This activity aims to improve the function of peer groups living in orphanages in influencing adolescent mental health. The form of activities carried out is in the form of socializing the roles and functions of peer groups regarding mental health, stress management and adolescent conflict management. It can be concluded from the results of this activity that the role of mental health leaders who are in orphanages plays an important role in strengthening emotional mental health in peer groups.
