Abstract

Dissemination of information related to the issues of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Instagram account @humasprovjatim is interesting to study because of understanding the meaning and motives behind educational messages conveyed through the Instagram account @humasprovjatim. It can form awareness regarding health protocols during the pandemic and post-COVID-19 pandemic to realize changes in attitudes, behavior, and healthy lifestyles that reduce the spread of COVID-19. This study aims to analyze educational messages aware of health protocols on the Instagram account of Public Relations (PR) of East Java Province (@humasprovjatim). This study used content analysis methods with Pentad’s Dramatic Analysis. The object studied was educational messages from the PR Instagram feed in March-December 2020. Result of this research is the dramatic rhetoric in the content of the Instagram feed by the PR of the province of East Java. The Instagram media is a rhetorical stage in conveying the message of community life in dealing with COVID-19. Conclusion of this research is that there is an important role for packaging content on their Instagram. The results of this study explain that the PR Instagram account is a stage where a "show" occurs which is considered capable of bridging the government to build educational messages regarding the health protocols presented in such a way to the public.

Abstract

Films are often considered only as a medium for entertainment purposes, but films can also display hidden messages according to the wishes of the creators, including the Disney film Mulan which was broadcast simultaneously throughout the world via Disney Plus Hotstar 4 September 2020 streaming application. in it some messages carry the theme of gender equality, which is still a controversial issue in several parts of the world, including in China, the setting of the place where Mulan's film is told, this research will analyze symbols containing messages representing gender equality in the film Mulan with Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, and as a result, Mulan's film contains symbols of gender equality. This Disney film carries the message that men and women should be given equal opportunities in any case, including defending the country on the battlefield.

Abstract

Brand Awareness does not appear on its own. Brand Awareness can be obtained by business owners with the creative content efforts it makes, with the development of advanced technology business owners are encouraged to develop and keep up with the rapid flow of technology. The potential of Instagram can be used as a medium to conduct Brand Awareness. This research aims to describe the implementation of creative content @maharagung.organizer in building Brand Awareness. It focuses on the use of social media instagram. In this study the authors used qualitative – descriptive methods. The author uses data in the form of interviews, observations and documentation. Mahar Agung Organizer is popular on Instagram because the Wedding organizer is located in Surabaya and his work is well known among young people who will carry out weddings and all affairs that require help from wedding organizers..

Abstract

Copywriting is an important part of marketing through digital marketing. So, gacoan noodles also apply creative content in their marketing through copywriting. In creating creative content on his Instagram account, creativity is needed. This study aims to examine how to optimize digital marketing of mie gacoan through creative copywriting content on the @mie.gacoan account. This study used qualitative descriptive research methods and interview techniques with the Maintenance & Repair Manager who is also the Operational Incharge Handle at the Wiyung Surabaya branch of mie gacoan, as well as making observations on the @mie.gacoan account related to optimizing the digital marketing of mie gacoan through creative copywriting content on the @mie.gacoan account. The results show that the optimization of digital marketing of creative copywriting content to increase consumer buying interest has run optimally, because consumers feel more aware about the products and brands of gacoan noodles. And when the copywriting content related to the change of menu name and the issuance of a statement that gacoan noodles have obtained halal certification from MUI, making sales turnover and customers of gacoan noodles increase. Abstract

The phenomenon of sexual violence always haunts society, especially Indonesian women. In connection with this phenomenon, the Indonesian Feminist Community as a community or network that spreads the ideology of feminism and gender equality makes this discourse a tool in building campaigns for the Sexual Violence Act (TPKS Law) and also provides efforts to understand the public. Based on the data that has been obtained, that in addition to being a forum for campaigning for the Law on Sexual Violence (TPKS Law) and also educating the public about the many forms of sexual violence. The Indonesian Feminist Community is also very good at utilizing social media, especially the Instagram platform to network with several other communities who are also campaigning for the Sexual Violence Act (UU TPKS) to help share these posts through the Indonesian Feminist Community's Instagram platform. Abstract

Social media, especially TikTok, has transformed how society communicates by erasing distance, space, and time barriers. TikTok is popular for creative content, including educational content about skincare. Skincare education is crucial due to the increasing prevalence of dangerous and illegal skincare products being promoted, often indirectly, by influencers through endorsements. The use of these harmful skincare products can lead to serious skin issues and even cancer. The lack of public knowledge about proper skincare exacerbates this problem. dr. Richard Lee, an aesthetic doctor and TikTok influencer, is well-known for his skincare education content. Meanwhile, dr. Oky Pratama, also an aesthetic doctor and influencer, is famous for promoting his beauty clinic and sharing everyday life content. This research analyzes their content using media text analysis, particularly employing the framing approach. The results reveal how the public interprets skincare content on social media and its impact on the skincare industry. This highlights the importance of informed decisions when selecting safe skincare products. Additionally, this study contributes to understanding the effects and implications of skincare educational content on social media. Media sosial, khususnya TikTok, telah mengubah cara komunikasi masyarakat dengan menghapus batasan jarak, ruang, dan waktu. TikTok populer untuk konten kreatif, termasuk didalamnya berisi edukasi skincare. Edukasi mengenai skincare sangatlah penting karena produk skincare berbahaya dan ilegal semakin banyak beredar, bahkan tidak sedikit yang secara tidak langsung didukung oleh influencer melalui endorsement. Penggunaan skincare berbahaya dapat mengakibatkan masalah kulit serius dan bahkan kanker. Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai perawatan kulit yang baik dan benar menyebabkan masalah ini. dr.Richard Lee, seorang dokter estetika sekaligus influencer TikTok, beliau terkenal karena konten edukasi skincare. Sedangkan, dr.Oky Pratama, yang juga merupakan dokter estetika sekaligus influencer, tetapi beliau terkenal karena konten promosi klinik kecantikannya dan konten mengenai kehidupan sehari-hari.  Penelitian ini menganalisis konten mereka dengan metode analisis teks media, terutama dengan pendekatan framing. Hasilnya mengungkap bagaimana masyarakat menafsirkan konten skincare di media sosial, dan dampaknya pada industri skincare yang menyoroti pentingnya pengetahuan dalam memilih produk skincare yang aman untuk digunakan. Serta, penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memahami dampak dan implikasi dari konten edukasi skincare di media sosial.

Abstract

With the advent of digital technology, the dissemination of information has accelerated, particularly through various types of photo media such as brochures, magazines, and newspapers. In the media industry, photojournalism, which uses visual images to quickly convey events, is highly significant. Photography is an effective tool for communication and documentation. With pioneers like Alex Mendur, photojournalism has a long history in Indonesia and around the world. The EDFAT method (Entire, Detail, Frame, Angle, and Time) was introduced by the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication at Arizona State University. To obtain complete and informative images, EDFAT helps photographers optimize essential shooting elements. Using the EDFAT method, this research aims to analyze photos of the Remo dance posted on the Instagram account @surabaya. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative. The analysis results show that the images have consistency in aspects such as the entire scene, details, framing, angles, and timing. While various perspectives such as eye level, high shot, and long shot are used to provide visual variety, the frame analysis shows good photo composition with an emphasis on the dancer as the main subject. These photos were taken during the day with the best natural lighting. Thus, the EDFAT method greatly aids photographers in creating comprehensive and engaging journalistic photos.
