Abstract

Papain-like protease is a SARSCOV-2 protease that functions for ubiquitination in host cells. Caffeine compounds have been widely reported to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, and antiobesity activities. However, hexose and malic acid compounds in coffee rind as potential inhibitors of the papain-like protease SARSCOV2 have not been reported. This study investigated the potential of malic acid and hexose compounds as PLPro inhibitor agents in inhibiting SARSCOV2 ubiquitination. In silico studies were used to identify the potential of the two compounds by interacting hexose and malic acid compounds with papain-like protease (PLPro) proteins with the Molegro virtual Docker 5 program. Next, the ligand-protein complex visualization was done with discovery studio version 5.0. hexose and malic acid compounds showed interactions with papain-like protease proteins on several active site residues. The interactions showed inhibition of ubiquitination and stimulation of interferon in host cells. The two compound complexes – PLPro protein showed hydrophobic interactions, hydrogen bonds, and van der Waals forces, which contributed to the formation of bond energy and strong bonds between compounds and proteins. In this study, it was concluded that hexose and malic acid compounds have the potential to act as inhibitors of papain-like protease (PLPro) protein.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to genetically link natural materials derived from Tinospora crispa L with Berberine to dihydrofolate reductase-thymidylate synthase (DHFR-TS). Method: The ligand berberine (CID: 2353) was obtained from Pubchem, while the protein DHFR-TS (PDB ID 2bl9) was obtained from Protein Data Bank. The ligands and proteins interacted with HEX 8.0.0.0 and were visualized with Discovery Studio. The researchers discovered a positive interaction between berberine and DHFR-TS, observed at four amino acid residues that bind to the protein TYR125, ILE121, LEU45, and MET54. Van der Waals interactions, hydrogen bonds, Pi-Sulfur, Pi-Alkyl, and Pi-Stalked interactions all contribute to strength and stability. In conclusion, berberine has the potential to act as a DHFR-TS inhibitor and thus prevent malaria.ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memanfaatkan bahan alam yang berasal dari Tinospora crispa L dengan kandungan utama Berberin dengan dihydrofolate reductase-thymidylate synthase (DHFR-TS) secara genetik. Metode, Ligan berberin (CID: 2353 ) diperoleh dari Pubchem sedangkan protein DHFR-TS (PDB ID 2bl9) diperoleh dari Protein Data Bank, ligan dan protein diinteraksikan menggunakan HEX 8.0.0.0 dan divisualisasikan menggunakan discovery studio. Ditemukan interaksi positif antara berberin dan DHFR-TS yang menunjukkan interaksi pada empat residu asam amino yang berikatan dengan protein. Mereka adalah TYR125, ILE121, LEU45 dan MET54. Beberapa interaksi yang dilakukan Van der Waals, ikatan hidrogen, Pi-Sulfur, Pi-Alkyl dan Pi-Stalked juga memberikan dukungan dalam rangka meningkatkan kekuatan dan stabilisasi. Kesimpulannya, berberin memiliki potensi fungsi sebagai penghambat DHFR-TS dan mengarah pada malaria.

Abstract

Neurodegenerative diseases are mostly experienced by postmenopausal women and are often caused by estrogen deficiency, so it is necessary to replace the hormone estrogen in the form of phytoestrogens. One of the plants that contain phytoestrogens is Marsilea crenata. The objective of this study is to see if giving rotenone-induced zebrafish a 96% ethanol extract of M. crenata leaves increases locomotor activity. This research was conducted by inducing 5 µg/L rotenone as a compound that will interfere with the locomotor activity of zebrafish. Next, treatment was given with 96% ethanol extract of clover in each group with a dose of 2.5; 5; 10; and 20 mg/mL to determine the effect of the extract on increasing locomotor activity of rotenone-induced zebrafish. Observations were made by looking at the quantity of zebrafish swimming every five minutes until day 28. The treatment of 96% ethanol extract of M. crenata leaves could significantly increase zebrafish motility at the optimum dose of 2.5 mg/mL, because every week the zebrafish locomotor activity increased compared to the negative control. M. crenata leaves extract is proven to prevent neurodegenerative diseases. However, further research needs to be done on the degenerative effects of rotenone every week.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui profil senyawa-senyawa metabolit sekunder dalam minyak atsiri daun tumbuhan legundi (Vitex trifolia Linn) yang tumbuh di Pulau Timor. Minyak atsiri dari sampel daun tumbuhan legundi diekstraksi menggunakan distilasi uap air dengan menggunakan sampel yang masih segar sedangkan analisis senyawa metabolit sekunder dalam minyak atsiri dilakukan dengan GC-MS. Hasil penelitian yang terdapat dalam sampel minyak atsiri daun legundi asal Pantai Paradiso, Kelurahan Oesapa Barat, Kota Kupang sebanyak 49 senyawa. Senyawa-senyawa yang dominan ada 12 yakni trans- Kariopillen 25,43%, 1,2-asam Benzendikarbosilik 14,16%, Sabinen 7,57%, 1,8-Sineol 4,17%, Kariopillen oksida 3,71%, Skareol 3,21%, α-Humulen 3,07%, α-Terpinenil asetat 2,36%, Sitronella 2,30%, 3-Sikloheksanol 1,76%, α-Pinen 1,76%, β-Pinen 1,68%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tumbuh-tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan minyak obat tradisional masyarakat Sandosi di pulau Adonara dan masyarakat Lamatuka di pulau Lembata serta kandungan senyawa dalam minyak obat tradisional yang digunakan dan manfaat senyawa-senyawa yang terkandung. Metode penelitian yaitu wawancara untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan ramuan minyak obat, serta analisis senyawa dalam sampel ramuan minyak obat tradisional menggunakan GC-MS. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan ramuan minyak obat tradisional masyarakat Sandosi yakni 3 jenis tumbuhan dan masyarakat Lamatuka 45 jenis tumbuhan. Senyawa dominan dari hasil analisis GC-MS ramuan minyak obat tradisional masyarakat Lamatuka antara lain: senyawa asam laurat, asam miristat, Dilauri, Tridecanal, asam oleat, oleamide, 1,3-dipalmitin, trilaurin, trioctanoin dan corwin. Sedangkan senyawa dominan pada ramuan minyak obat tradisional masyarakat Sandosi Adonara antara lain: senyawa asam laurat, asam palmitat, asam oleat, delta decalactone, oxacyclododecan-2-one, 10-undecenyl chloride, 9-octadecenal, asam tridekanoat, ethyl trans-3-(2-oxo-5-methylcyclohexyl) propionate, delta dodecalactone, trioctanoin, 10-Undecenoic acid, methyl ester dan oleamide

Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) merupakan suatu badan usaha berbadan hukum, yang bertujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan perekonomian desa khususnya untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan penguatan kapasitas pengelolaan BUMDes dan sharing pengalaman pengelolaannya dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini, bertujuan untuk dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman baru bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pariti, Kecamatan Sulamu, Kabupaten Kupang. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 oang peserta diantaranya Pemerintah Desa, pengurus BUMDes Gempar dan tokoh masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan berupa sosialisasi melalui ceramah dan diskusi, sharing pengalaman dengan Kepala Desa Hadakewa serta hasil tes kemampuan (pre test dan post test). Kesimpulan dari hasil kegiatan ini yaitu terdapat peningkatan kemampuan terhadap substansi dan sistem tata kelola BUMDes. Kedepannya kegiatan ini dapat dilanjutkan dengan menghadirkan narasumber-narasumber yang telah sukses mengelola BUMDes

Abstract

The healty lifestyle is a habits that needs to be used as a principle of life by every people to improving the life quality especially for the health sector. The good comprehension of health can help every people for stunting prevention. Stunting is a kind of disease that caused by the poor nutrition of meals for the children for their growing period. By the community service program of public education of high nutrition food for the parents to increase the nutrition grade for these children is expected to prevent the potential for stunting in these children. In addition, this community service program give the new experience for the community to utilize the ingridients food to create the high nutrition food with low price and can produce in every household. Babanas and corn are abundantly available in Manleten Village and always consumed by the conventional processing can be produced to be a new variant of food that can be a new food reference

Abstract

Sebagai suatu badan usaha yang ada di desa, BUMDes wajib dikelola dengan baik dengan memperhatikan penataan administrasi dan laporan keuangan BUMDes. Oleh karena itu semua aktivitas usaha BUMDEs wajib dicatat dan dibukukan. Melihat pentingnya hal ini maka Tim Pengabdian Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira melaksanakan kegiatan penguatan kapasitas BUMDes berupa Pelatihan penyusunan administrasi dan laporan keuangan bagi BUMDes Nekbaun yang ada di Desa Baumata Timur. Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya pengelola BUMDes dalam penataan administarsi dan pengelolaan keuangan BUMDes. Kegiatan Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi kemudian dilanjutkan dengan latihan studi kasus. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah peserta mendapat pengetahuan baru mengenai pencatatan administrasi dan laporan keuangan. Selain itu ditemukan adanya kelemahan pada Sumber Daya Manusia sehingga pencatatan terhadap aktivitas dan kondisi BUMDes tidak terekam dengan baik. Dengan adanya kegiatan pelatihan penyusunan administrasi dan laporan keuangan dapat menambah pengetahuan dan ketrampilan pengelola BUMDes dalam melaksanakan seluruh aktivitas BUMDes

Abstract

Methylene blue is a textile dye with carcinogenic and mutagenic properties which can cause various problems for the environment and organisms, therefore it is necessary to treat the waste. This study describes the adsorption of methylene blue using base-activated coconut coir. Coconut coir as waste was prepared into 80 mesh-sized powder and then activated using NaOH solution. The base-activated coconut fiber was then used for methylene blue adsorption under several optimization conditions such as pH, contact time, concentration, and adsorption isotherm. The determination of methylene blue was adsorbed by the adsorbent measured using UV-VIS. The pH and contact time results were 7 and 75 minutes, respectively, with the adsorption capacity (qe) of 1.98 mg g-1 and 99.91%. The isotherm adsorption of blue methylene followed the Langmuir isotherm model with the maximum adsorption capacity (Qmax) of 0.2 mg -1. The result showed that the coconut fiber base activated could be used as a dye adsorbent.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) sebelumnya didefinisikan hanya sebagai badan usaha. Namun setelah Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja disahkan, BUMDes merupakan badan usaha yang berbadan hukum. Konsekuensinya ada beberapa perubahan regulasi dan kelengkapan dokumen yang dituntut untuk pengurusan badan hukum BUMDes. Salah satunya yakni penyesuaian Anggaran Dasar (AD)/ Anggaran Rumah Tangga (ART) BUMDes. AD/ART BUMDes merupakan rujukan peraturan dasar dan turunan dalam pengelolaan BUMDes. Tantangan dalam penyusunan AD/ART yakni tidak semua warga desa, bahkan Pemerintah Desa dan Pengurus BUMDes paham proses penyusunan, substansi AD/ART, serta struktur dalam AD/ART. Karena itu, pelatihan penyusunan AD/ART sesuai regulasi baru dibutuhkan untuk memperbaiki, sekaligus menyepakati poin substansial dalam isi AD/ART BUMDes. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di LPPM Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira yang melibatkan 15 orang peserta dari perwakilan pengurus BUMDes Ina Huk, pemerintah desa, BPD, pelaku usaha, tokoh masyarakat, perwakilan perempuan, kaum muda dan warga Desa Mata Air, Kecamatan Kupang Tengah, Kabupaten Kupang. Kata Kunci: BUMDes, Anggaran Dasar, Anggaran Rumah Tangga  ABSTRACT Village-owned Enterprises (BUMDes) were previously only defined as business entities. However, after the Job Creation Law was passed, BUMDes is now a legal entity. Consequently, there have been several regulatory changes and the complete documents required for managing BUMDes legal entities. One of them is the adjustment of the BUMDes Statutes (AD)/Bylaws (ART). BUMDes AD/ART is a reference for primary and derivative regulations in BUMDes management. The challenge in preparing AD/ART is that not all villagers, even the Village Government and BUMDes management, understand the drafting process, the substance of AD/ART, and the structure of AD/ART. Therefore, training on drafting AD/ART following the new regulations is needed to improve and, at the same time, agree on essential points in the contents of BUMDes AD/ART. This activity was carried out by the LPPM of Widya Mandira Catholic University which involved 15 participants from BUMDes Ina Huk officials, village government representatives, BPD, business actors, community leaders, women's representatives, youth and residents of Mata Air Village, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency. Keywords: Village-owned Enterprises, Statutes (AD), Bylaws (ART)
