Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence the production of lowland rice farming. This research was carried out in Senyerang Subdistrict, Tanjung Jabung Barat District. The data used in the form of primary data data obtained by direct interviews with farmers using a questionnaire while secondary data obtained from related agencies, the internet and literature. Sampling is done purposively (purposive) then 48 samples are obtained. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of multiple linear regression shows that the factors that influence the production of lowland rice are land area (X1), seeds (X2), urea fertilizer (X3), NPK fertilizer (X4), SP36 fertilizer (X5), labor (X6) and pesticides (X7). The factors that have a positive influence are land area (X1), seeds (X2), urea fertilizer (X3), labor (X6). Increasing these variables will increase rice production in the research area, while increasing NPK fertilizer (X4), SP36 fertilizer (X5), and pesticides (X7) will reduce the production of lowland rice in the study area because of its negative effect.

Abstract

Coconut plant is one of the commodities that has high economic value because it has value as a multipurpose crop. Deep coconut is one of the seven leading plantation commodities in Jambi Province and ranks third after rubber and palm oil. In the life of the farmer community, the position and function of the farmer institution in this case farmer group union is a part of social institutions that facilitate social interaction or social interplay within a community. This farmer institution also has a strategic point (entry point) in driving the agribusiness system in the countryside The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of Gapoktan in marketing coconut commodities in and analyze the strategy to grow the role of Gapoktan in marketing coconut in the East TanjungJabung Regency. This research uses primary and secondary data sources. Secondary data recorded systematically was obtained by observation and interview. Determination of the sample using a random sampling method with a total sample of respondents of 30 respondents. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods and SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Oppurtunities and Threats). The conclusions of the results of this study are (1) In general, East TanjungJabung Regency has the potential to develop coconut commodities in terms of geographical and climate aspects that are very supportive. Gapoktan as a marketing unit has not functioned as it should, so the attachment of Gapoktan to middlemen is still high; (2) The position of the Gapoktan role lies in awareness I and the strategy that can be applied in this position is to support the policy of growing the role of an aggressive Gapoktan (growth oriented strategy) or aggressive strategy (aggressive strategy). The strategies adopted are (a) cooperating with investors as partners in processing coconut, (b) optimizing empowerment, training and increasing the Gapoktan function as a marketing unit, (c) issuing regulations on land use regulations for deep coconut plants, (d) optimizing Gapoktan member resources (e) to grow cooperatives as a marketing agenda for coconut.

Abstract

The traditional zone of the Sembilang National Park has a very important role in sustaining the economy of the fishing community in the Banyuasin II District of Banyuasin Regency. The intended economic activity is a capture fisheries business. This study aims to determine the economic potential of the Sembilang National Park used by fishermen, how the marketing picture occurs, who the marketing institutions are involved in, how the marketing functions are carried out and how efficient they are. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive analysis and margin analysis, profit and cost ratio and farmer's share. The results showed that the economic potential of the Sembilang National Park traditional zone utilized by capture fishermen included 21 species of fish with an economic value of Rp. 13,772,637,732 / month. The traditional zone areas of the Sembilang National Park that are utilized are the Bungin River, Barong River, Sembilang River, Benawang River, Ngirawan River, Birik and Terusan Dalam. Marketing channels are formed in 2 groups, namely: group I type with 5 channels and type II group with 4 channels. The marketing functions performed by marketing institutions include: purchasing, selling, transportation, loading and unloading, preservation, packaging, storage, standardization, risk management, financing, and market information. The results of the marketing efficiency analysis show that in fish marketing group I, channel III is the most efficient channel and channel I is the most inefficient channel. In fish marketing of type II, channel III is the most efficient channel and channel I is the most inefficient channel.

Abstract

CPO is the world main vegetable oil that has the highest production and consumption levels compared to other major vegetable oils. The high level of world consumption of CPO is because in addition to higher production, CPO also has the lowest price compared to other major vegetable oils. Indonesia as the largest CPO exporter in the world makes a major contribution to meeting the world's vegetable oil needs. Indonesia exports CPO to six major importing countries, namely India, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain and Italy. However, Indonesia's CPO export activities fluctuated to six major importing countries. Indonesia's CPO has the potential to be developed, but also has obstacles in the form of non-tariff barriers in the form of a CPO black campaign from the European Union. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of Indonesian CPO exports in the six main importing countries, and analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian CPO and countries that are optimistic and potential for the development of Indonesian CPO exports in the six main importing countries. This study uses time series data from 1991 - 2020. The methods used are RCA, EPD, X-Model. The results of the study during the period 1991 - 2020 showed that the average development of Indonesian CPO exports fluctuated and tended to increase in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain and Italy, and fluctuated tended to decrease in the Netherlands. Indonesian CPO has strong competitiveness in the six main importing countries, is in a rising star position in the India, Malaysia, Spain and Italy markets, is in a falling star position in the Singapore market and is in a retreat position in the Dutch market. CPO exports have an optimistic market development potential in the Indian, Malaysian, Spanish, Italian markets and a potential market development potential in the Singapore market.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) find out the description of the characteristics of farmers who follow AUTP and farmers who do not follow AUTP, 2) study the implementation of AUTP and 3) analyze the factors that influence farmer participation in the AUTP program. The research was conducted in Tungkal Ulu District with the number of respondents as many as 31 farmers who participated in the AUTP and 31 farmers who did not participate in the AUTP. Data were analyzed using logistic regression analysis. The results showed that 1) farmers who participated in AUTP had lower characteristics of age, number of family members, and farming experience compared to farmers who did not participate in AUTP, while the level of education, land area, intensity of crop failure and information about AUTP groups of farmers who participated in AUTP higher than farmers who did not participate in AUTP in Tungkal Ulu District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. 2) The implementation of AUTP in Tungkal District is generally in accordance with the AUTP Guidelines but the lack of socialization is the cause of the low participation of farmers in the AUTP program and the low knowledge of farmers about insurance claims. 3) The results of the analysis showed that the factors of age, land area, crop failure intensity and AUTP information had a significant effect on farmers' participation in the AUTP program, while education, number of family members and farming experience had no significant effect on farmers' participation in the AUTP program in Tungkal Ulu District.
