Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia adalah negara rawan tsunami yang membutuhkan strategi mitigasi tsunami yang berkelanjutan untuk menekan efek negatif dari bencana ini. Dibutuhkan strategi komunikasi tertentu untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat untuk membangun kesadaran yang bertahan lama dan berkelanjutan terhadap tsunami. Strategi komunikasi massa dipilih untuk menyampaikan pesan ini, diaplikasikan pada konsep visual, bahasa, dan media dengan menggunakan nilai-nilai lokal. Kampanye ini mengamil judul “Gesit” untuk membangun budaya gesit pada masyarakat terutama ketika tsunami datang. Informasi yang disampaikan berisi pengetahuan dasar mengenai tsunami, perangkat darurat dalam menghadapi tsunami, guna mengurangi efek dari tsunami.  Kata Kunci : tsunami, jurnal, mitigasi, kampanye sosial Abstract Indonesia is tsunami prone country which needs sustainable preparedness to minimize the disaster impact. There’s certain communication strategy needed to raise people’s awareness and knowledge in order to build sustainable local community preparedness toward tsunami.Communication strategy chosen to deliver tsunami preparedness message is mass communication theory, applied in social campaign which the visual, language, and media, imply local culture values. The campaign concept itself called “Gesit” means being agile, aim to build agile culture in coastal society, especially when the tsunami strikes. Information given are general knowledge about tsunami , response needed during tsunami, emergency kit and first aid instruction, preparedness guide to reduce tsunami impact.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out the preparation, implementation and outcomes of Remedial program of IPA Natural Science Subject of Secondary Schools in Makassar city. Sample of this research were 24 Science teachers selected from 8 Secondary Schools with A certification in Makassar city. This is a descriptive research which employed an ex-post facto method on remedial program implementation of Science teacher of secondary schools based on curriculum 2013. The Instrument used to collect data were by observation sheet, collection were by observation, interview guideline, and camera for documentation. Technique of data collection were by observation, interview, and documentation.The instrument was tested by the 2 experts who validated and analyzed the instrument by items validation through score number. The analysis was conducted by data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result indicates that the Science teachers is on the fair category ( 77,00%). In conducting the remedial program preparation.The teachers have conducted the remedial program by organizing the lesson plan by preparing the regular material, remedial material, and enrichment material according to Regulation of Education and Cultur Ministry No 103 year 2014. The implementation of remedial program by Science teachers is on thr fair category (73,27%). Teachers have implemented the remedial program, even though the implementation was not fully meet the technical instruction of the program. The outcomes of remedial program implementation of Science subject is on the low category (63,75%). Decresing of remedial program result caused by preparing and applicated remedial program doing by teacher on the fair category, and given effect to result of remedial program. Abstract

This study aims to develop STEM (learning model Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Based Blended Learning a practical). The problem posed is to produce a practical STEMBL model in terms of the implementation of learning, learning activities, lecturer responses and student responses. The STEMBL model was developed by adapting the Plomp development flow, namely (1) initial investigation; (2) design; (3) realization/construction; (4) tests, evaluations, and revisions and (5) implementation. The model components developed refer to Arend and the model criteria refer to Nieveen. The subjects of this study were PGSD students at the University of Bosowa. The practicality of the model data was obtained through the instrument implementation of the model, the implementation of learning, as well as learning activities offline and online. The results of this study indicate that the STEMBL model is declared practical based on the observations of the observer on the implementation of the model, learning management and student learning activities based on the results of the practitioner's assessment of the learning model. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the STEMBL model is practical in improving students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: STEM, blended learning, critical thinking skills

Abstract

This study aims to (1) implement the Guided Discovery Learning Model Assisted Video and Interactive Simulation (GDM-VIS) in physics learning on the concept of statistical fluids; (2) identify the relationship between students’ motivation and learning outcomes. This research is a pre-experimental research employing One Shoot Case Study design. The learning model and instruments that have been developed were used in a class of 38 students before the distance learning was applied. The data of learning motivation were obtained through motivation questionnaire, while learning outcome data were obtained by means of a conceptual understanding test instrument. To see whether there is a correlation between students’ motivation and learning outcomes, the Bivariate Pearson analysis with SPSS was used. Based on the results of the analysis, the value obtained based on the value or relationship (R) was 0.613. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.375, meaning that the effect of learning motivation with the application of GDM-VIS toward concept understanding is 37.5%. Based on the Output Coefficients, decision making in a simple regression test, and based on the significance value of the Coefficients table, it was obtained that the significance value was 0.00 0.05, which means that the application of the Guided Discovery Learning Model Assisted with Video and Interactive Simulation affects the students’ concept understanding. This study implies that the learning using simulations with systematic stages can improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research that aims to increase the result of students’ Biology study through the use of Prezi Desktop learning. The subject of this research was students of XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Makassar, in even semester, in academic year 2018/2019. They were 29 students. This research was accomplished into 2 cycles. The data collected was analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis. The result of data analysis as belows: (1) The result of students’ biology study by looking at average value after using Prezi Desktop learning media. It increased from 68.23 in the 1st cycle to be 81,50 in the 2nd cycle, the percentage of thorough students was 37.71% in the 1st cycle to be 83.95% in the 2nd Cycle. (2) After using Prezi Desktop media, attitude of the students towards the media was 100% positive. It can be concluded that there was increasing during learning process after applying the use of Prezi Desktop leraning media, and the students also supported 100% towards Prezi Desktop media in learning process at SMA Negeri 3 Makasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi sains pada peserta didik kelas VII-5 dalam mata pelajaran IPA digunakan  pada kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik dalam aspek kompetensi mata  pelajaran IPA dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi literasi  sains mata pelajaran IPA pada peserta didik di SMPN 35 Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan Tes. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada hasil penelitian, analisis kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik  pada mata pelajaran IPA Kelas VII UPT SPF SMPN 35 Kota Makassar yang  berjumlah 28 orang peserta didik yang menunjukkan bahwa hasil kemampuan literasi  sains peserta didik masih rendah atau masih di bawah rata-rata dari nilai KKM  (belum mampu) dimana hasil kerja peserta didik itu tidak seorang pun bisa  mendapat nilai 100, hanya banyak memperoleh nilai di bawah rata-rata KKM. Adapun beberapa faktor yang menjadi penyebab antara lain yaitu, peserta didik hanya Sebagian yang mampu memehami konsep dan yang lainnya hanya memahami sebatas teori. Selain itu, kurangnya motivasi belajar, latar belakang Pendidikan peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA, fasilitas yang kurang memadai, dan belum lengkapnya alat serta bahan yang disediakan di ruang laboratorium yang menyebabkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik rendah. Hal ini juga memengaruhi rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA. Hal ini ditandai dimana guru tidak menstimulus kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran literasi sains pada aspek kompetensi peserta didik.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR) in Elementary School Science Learning Concepts. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Augmented Reality learning media on the mastery of the science concept of fifth grade elementary school students at SD Shipyard IV. The method in this research is experimental. The research population was all fifth grade elementary school students in Shipyard IV-VI with a total of 105 students and 39 students as a sample. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Treatment using Augmented Reality learning media for 6x meetings. Data collection was carried out by the test method. The test instrument consisted of 30 multiple choice questions on environmental material. The use of Augmented Reality learning media can easily visualize the addition of virtual objects into a real environment and help students imagine objects from various points of view thereby improving the learning process and student learning outcomes. The increase can be seen from the results of the N-Gain test in the pretest and posttest which were 0.74 which was included in the high category, and the Paired sample T-test obtained a significant level of 0.00 < 0.05 (effective). The results of the study show that there is effectiveness in the application of Agumented Reality media to the mastery of science concepts in fifth grade elementary school students at SD Shipyard IV.
