Abstract

This research is a descriptive research using literature study method which aims to analyze how far is the contribution of Toulmin's Argument Pattern (TAP) in learning physics in Indonesia. The data collection technique used is a review of articles from previous studies related to the application of Toulmin's argument in learning physics. Sources of data used four articles in this research is secondary data. The data obtained were then analyzed using the, organize method, namely organizing the articles to be reviewed, synthesize, which combines the results of organizing articles into an integrated literature,  Identify, which is to identify articles to draw conclusions. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the application of Toulmin's Argumentation in learning Physics in Indonesia has many contributions such as in mastering concepts, problem solving abilities, and especially in improving students' argumentation skills. It is also known that the application of the argumentation-based learning model should be collaborated with problem-based learning models and discussion methods to train students' argument structure preparation. So, for build good argumentation skills, directed teaching is needed by utilizing Toulmin's argumentation pattern.

Abstract

The extent of students' abilities is an important thing to consider because it is part of the learning process. This research analyzes students' abilities in the subject matter measurement physics. Tools that are used is a ministep Rasch analysis. Descriptive quantitative was used in the study by providing an overview of the student's results and supported by data in the form of numbers from Rasch analysis. A total of 14 participant students as respondents in this research with the criteria of having received physics and measurement materialize Merdeka Curriculum in his learning. The results of this research state that ability learners are still classified as low, although it has obtained that material, while Cronbach's alpha index (0.62) is in the moderate category. Besides that, suitability questions for students still need to be classified as low. That way, it is important to balance the equations with students' abilities or vice versa. In the future, study continuation is required to increase students' abilities. According to the claim from the Merdeka Curriculum, it is learning more about the essentials.

Abstract

One of the emerging scientific developments is science-based local wisdom, or "ethnoscience." This research examines the urgency of ethnoscience when viewed from a philosophical perspective with an anthropological, ontological, and axiological perspective approach. This research uses a library research method with relevant sources related to the studied topic, such as books, scientific articles, and other relevant sources. The results of this study present how critical philosophical studies are to a science that is being developed, especially those that involve community culture. In addition, anthropological, ontological, and axiological perspectives provide an idea of a point of view that not only always refers to the research process but also the need to pay attention to the norms and values of the local culture. That way, future research related to ethnoscience has excellent potential to continue to be carried out through rational considerations and benefit science, culture, society, and the nation.

Abstract

Objective:  One of the physics materials that are very important for students is quantum phenomena because it cannot be separated in everyday life.  This research aims to develop a learning media "VirtumFi: Quantum Phenomena” for high school students that is feasible and practical. Method: This research is development research that used the 4D design (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) in the development process. Development was carried out using Adobe Animate software as an Android application development software.  Results: VirtumFi has been tested valid in content and construct. In addition, VirtumFi is equipped with teaching materials and HOTS question instruments to evaluate student understanding related to Quantum phenomena.  Furthermore, VirtumFi is accessed using Android so that it can be used anywhere. Novelty: The novelty that can be multiplied in this research is the VirtumFi (Virtual Laboratory Fisika) product in the form of Android with a combination of teaching material (text materials and worksheets), HOTS questions, and virtual laboratories.

Abstract

The characteristics of learning in the 21st century are directed at encouraging students to work together, be communicative, think creatively, think critically, think computationally, and have compassion. This study aims to apply a problem-based learning (PBL) model based on Probolinggo local wisdom to improve students' scientific literacy skills. The type of research used is quasi-experimental and uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The type of research used is quasi-experimental and uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study used two class samples, namely class XII MIPA 1 as a class that will be given treatment (experimental) while class XII MIPA 3 as a class that is not given treatment (control). The Probolinggo local wisdom-based PBL model becomes the independent variable in this study. The dependent variable in this research is students' scientific literacy skills. The control variables in this study were the teachers or researchers, the number of students taught (sample), and the learning materials for dynamic fluids. This research obtained valid learning tools with a validity level of 89.2%. The level of implementation of learning is 94%. Applying learning to apply Probolinggo local wisdom-based PBL model effectively increases students' scientific literacy abilities. This was obtained from the results of the independent-sample T-test, showing that the significance value is 0.000, which is less than 0.05. An increase was seen from the N-Gain test, obtained 0.60 in the class that was given the treatment, while 0.05 in the class that was not. In the future, learning based on Probollinggo's local wisdom can be developed in dynamic fluid learning and linear material learning.
