Abstract

Meat is one of the most foodstuff consumed. The increasing consumption of meat had led some traders to falsify the identity of meat for gaining profit. The meat adulteration case that often occurs is substituting the beef with pork. This adulteration case is very detrimental to consumers, therefore a method to identify the type of meat sold is very necessary. The vibration spectroscopy method, Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR), had been developed to analyze the type of beef and pork. The FTIR measurement was carried out with cut raw meat samples without further preparation. The Data obtained from the measurement are infra-red spectrum from beef and pork from 4000-500 cm-1 wavenumber and then the data was analyzed with Principle Component Analysis (PCA) statiscticall method. Projection result with PCA obtained data reduction that can represent all data generated from measurements shown through the Principle Component 1 and Principle Component 2 regions. Based on those projection, beef and pork profile area can be classified properly.

Abstract

The research attempts to examine the effect of waters salinity and carbon organic total in the Lapindo Mud on the fluctuation of heavy metals Cu and Pb in the waters of Aloo Rivers. Sample is taken from Lapindo Mud from four different locations. Result of the characterization of Lapindo Mud shows that the clay and dust contents are 34-35 % and 39-46 %. Lapindo Mud texture is clay loam. The organic matter in Lapindo Mud is not surely increasing the concentration of heavy metal because there is oxide compound with great contribution to the increase of heavy metal concentration in Lapindo Mud. Result of TOC analysis indicates that the organic carbon ranges from 54.7 % to 55.47 %, Pb rate ranges from 0.27-0.34 mg/L, and Cu rate ranges from 0.83-1.31 mg/L. Indeed, Pb has higher metal flux in salt water at AL from 5x10-5 mg/cm2.hour to 9x10-5 mg/cm2.hour. Cu has higher metal flux in freshwater at SA1 2.3x10-6mg/cm2.hour to 8.71x10-5mg/cm2.hour

Abstract

Human’s increasing activity causes an immense increase in domestic waste. one form of domestic waste which could harm environment is vegetable waste. in this research, vegetables waste is used as based material of liquid compost. The process of producing liquid compost with vegetables waste as the base materials was using EM4 fermentation method as a starter and zeolite 80-100  mesh as the bind for soil nutrient in liquid compost. In the fermentation process, the researcher conducted 3 different behaviors in adding EM4 and Zeolite, in each 10 gr, 20 gr and 30 gr of EM4; and 40 gr, 60 gr and 80 gr of Zeolite. The fermentation process was conducted  in 40 days. The liquid compost samples were analized for pH, C-Organic, N-total, P-total and K-total. The results showed that highest concentrate of soil nutrient was from the adding of 30 gr EM4 and 80 gr Zeolite in which the result was 0.27% C- organik, 0,07 %  N-total, 0,04 % , P-Total dan 0,46 %  K-Total.

Abstract

Abstract

This community service aims to encourage fish farming groups by making snakehead fish feed that has economic value. The method of implementing this service was through socialization and training. The partners in community service activities were the Mina Jaya Abadi Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan) in Peresak Village West Lombok Regency. The evaluation was carried out by giving a pretest and posttest, which then been analyzed descriptively. The results of this community service activity were increasing the understanding and skills of partners regarding the use of yards, nutrition, and content of snakehead fish, and how to cultivate and make snakehead fish feed. In addition, partners also understood the opportunities for Snakehead fish for post-Covid-19 entrepreneurs. Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out, the PkM team also assisted with tools for making fish feed which could reduce production costs for buying commercial fish feed and use alternative feeds.

Abstract

This Community Service program aims to increase the knowledge and skills of ITe Universitas Islam Al-Azhar MSME group members in making rock melon chips using a Dehydrator. The training was conducted through several stages: planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The participants for this service were the university's business technology incubator MSME group consisting of rock melon farmers and chip entrepreneurs, with 35 participants. The activities resulted in the participants' understanding of making rock melon chips using the Dehydrator tool could increase after the training, as well as understanding regarding the packaging of fruit chip products that were durable and long-lasting.
