Abstract

This study aims to explore the synergy between the local government and academia in mitigating peatland fires in Siak Regency. In the fields of social humanities, science, and technology, this study uses an exploratory qualitative method. The study reveals the important role of the local government in disaster mitigation through regional regulations, policies, and synergy between related departments. Through the regional regulation on forest fire prevention and handling, the local government has involved the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and other supporting units in mitigation efforts. In addition, academics have also contributed by developing a technology-based peatland fire detection system. The main results of this study show that collaboration between the local government and academia is very significant in peatland fire mitigation efforts. The role of the local government through Governor's Decree No. 9 of 2020 and Regent's Decree No. 4 of 2022, as well as synergy between departments, encourages more effective steps in preventing and handling peatland fires. In addition, the contribution of academics to producing a technology-based peatland fire mitigation technology design opens up the potential for innovative and sustainable solutions. These findings have significant implications, as they highlight the importance of collaboration between the local government and academia in facing the challenges of peatland fire mitigation in Siak Regency. This synergy allows a better understanding of the problem, the development of more effective policies, and the application of advanced technology in preventing and handling peatland fires.

Abstract

Finding a solution to the issue of predicting the quantity of new student admissions is the goal of this study. Forecasting new student admissions is crucial for an educational institution to maintain sustainability and success. At the moment, sustainability efforts in educational institutions are mostly dependent on the activity of forecasting new student intakes. The single exponential smoothing method is one strategy used in the new student admissions process, particularly at PKBM Tahfidz At Tamam, to forecast the number of students whom would be admitted in the following year. A Pekanbaru private school named PKBM Tahfidz At Tamam places a strong emphasis on the memorizing of the Qur'an by its students in order to create a generation that is knowledgeable about both the Qur'an and the Sunnah. In order to make predictions based on historical data, the applied method makes use of statistical techniques that involve mathematical equations. The number of students who will be admitted in the following year is predicted using information on new student admissions from prior years. The error margin is calculated using a number of metrics, including MAD (Mean Absolute Deviation), MSE (Mean Squared Error), and MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error). According to the study's findings, the single exponential smoothing method yields reliable forecasts for PKBM Tahfidz At Tamam's anticipated intake of new students the next year. Using this approach, the institution may better decide how to allocate resources, establish the curriculum, and maintain the facilities to meet the demands of potential students. As a result, the single exponential smoothing is critical to projecting the number of prospective students enrollments.

Abstract

Laboratorium komputer memiliki peran dalam pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dan memerlukan manajemen yang baik dalam pemeliharaannya. Berdasarkan survey awal, MA Al Islam Rumbio belum memiliki staf khusus yang mengelola laboratorium komputer. Pihak sekolah berencana melatih beberapa siswa yang potensial untuk dijadikan kader pengelola laboratorium namun tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan sumberdaya terkait hal itu. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada calon pengelola laboratorium komputer di MA Al Islam Rumbio agar mereka dapat mengelola dan memaksimalkan penggunaan laboratorium komputer secara efektif dan efisien. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam manajemen laboratorium komputer, pemeliharaan perangkat keras dan lunak, serta penerapan praktik terbaik dalam pengelolaan laboratorium komputer. Beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu: perencanaan dan pengaturan pemakaian laboratorium, pemeliharaan perangkat keras dan lunak, keamanan laboratorium, trouble shooting umum dan manajemen resiko. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan selama 2 hari, dan peserta memberikan impresi positif dan dapat mengambil manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

Jamu Herbal Jahe merupakan minuman tradisional yang dibuat dari bahan dasar jahe dan berbagai bahan alami. Proses pembuatan jamu herbal jahe melibatkan merebus jahe bersama bahan lainnya seperti, gula dan air. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diselenggarakan di Desa Sungai Pinang, sebuah desa yang belum memiliki pengetahuan secara luas dalam mengolah sumber daya alam seperti jahe, yang sebenarnya tumbuh disekitar masyarakat namun pemanfaatannya masih kurang optimal terutama untuk inovasi produk herbal seperti jamu. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dilakukan suatu inovasi dengan membuat jamu herbal jahe dengan menggunakan bahan jahe yang di lakukan pelatihan juga kepada masyarakat Desa Sungai Pinang. Tujuan pelatihan pembuatan Jamu Herbal Jahe adalah mengajak warga Desa Sungai Pinang terutama para ibu PKH untuk berpartisipasi dalam meningkatkan Jamu Herbal Jahe dapat dilestarikan pada masyarakat. Tim Pengabdian melakukan kegiatan ini selama 6 hari yang mencakup pemberian pengetahuan tentang manfaat jahe, pengolahan jahe menjadi jamu herbal, dan pengemasan jamu agar bisa dinikmati dalam waktu yang lebih lama. Berdasarkan pengamatan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan Jamu Herbal Jahe, disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat dapat mengambil manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dan bisa mengimplementasikan ilmu yang didapat untuk keperluan masing-masing.

Abstract

Riau Province is confirmed as the largest and most affected area by forest fires from 2015. This study aims to look at forest fire disaster mitigation based on social engineering of tourism villages based on economic empowerment in Riau Province. The method used in this research is mix method, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. This research explains the Disaster Mitigation Policy Model for Forest and Land Fires in Disaster Aware Digital Tourism Village (DWDSB) Based on Economic Empowerment in Riau by describing the mitigation policy for forest and land fires (karhutla), the level of village readiness in facing forest and land fires and the analysis of disaster-aware digital tourism villages (DWDSB) on local economic empowerment in Riau. The results showed that Riau Governor Regulation Number 9 of 2020 became the legal basis for the Riau Province Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in the aspect of forest and land fire disaster mitigation. The results also show that the Disaster Aware Digital Tourism Village (DWDSB) can be an alternative to developing disaster mitigation-based social engineering policies through green economy-based community empowerment activities based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Augmented Reality Technology that combines the real world with the virtual world, is interactive in real time, and is in the form of 3D animation. The Markerless Augmented Reality method is also called the markerless method, with this method the user no longer needs to use a marker to display digital elements. Currently, the construction of a road still uses a lot of rough drawings or designs using paper prints. The problem faced by workers is that drawings for making new roads use design drawings in 2D which are printed on paper, paper is prone to damage if it is always taken to the work site, such as being exposed to water, dust and folding which could damage the image on the printed paper. The research that will be carried out uses Augmented Reality technology which can provide information in the form of 3D road pavement images as well as information about the layers that make up the road pavement.

Abstract

This non-profit service aims to provide a deeper understanding to SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru teachers and principals. Digital leadership in learning is a hot topic right now, especially at SMK Abdurrab, where the use of technology in schools is strongly encouraged. The activity will be conducted through educational counseling and comprehension testing for teachers and school leaders on the urgency of digital leadership at Abdullah College. Teachers and of course the principal participated enthusiastically in this activity. This training included pre-test and post-test evaluations. The team/services also conducted a survey on digital leadership. He found that 98% agreed that digital leadership in learning is very important for improving teachers' classroom management skills.
