Abstract

This study is the final stage of study designed by using the method of Educational Research and Development (R & D) to generate a tested authentic assessment instrument model so thatit can be used to assess problem-solving skills of prospective biology teachers in field practice activities. The assessment instruments, that have been developed and tested on limited audiences in the earlier study stage, have very high validity and reliability for measuring learning outcomes in the cognitive domains (0.877 and 0.949), have high validity and reliability in assessing observing skills (0.776 and 0.866), communication skills (0.665 and 0.581), developing proposals (0.854 and 0.884) and collecting specimens (0.676 and 0.400), but only until sufficient and medium categories for the skill measurement of taking notes of process (0.607 and 0.153), and making report of the result of field practice (0.607 and 0.153). The instruments also have sufficient validity (0.589) and high reliability (0.75) for the measurement of scientific attitude. At the final stage of this study, the instrument was then used by the 10 supervisors to assess the field practice activities involving 120 students of prospective biology teachers from a private university in Bandung, Indonesia. Each supervisor assessed footages of 5 students. The result of the study shows that the supervisors who are the assessment instrument users give good responses evenly (X = 3,58 ± 0,12) on questions with following indicators: The result shows that the supervisors who are the assessment instrument users give good responses evenly (x = 3.58 ± 0.12) to questions with following indicators: the suitability of the instruments with the needs in the field, the suitability of the instruments with their columns, instrument effectiveness in the assessment, as well as ease of use of the instrument. The participating students of field practice who are assessed state that in-advance explanation about techniques and aspects of the assessment before the implementation of the field practice can encourage them to conduct the field practice much better, in order to obtain higher learning outcomes.Making improvements and conducting further tests on the authentic assessment instrument developed in this study are suggested so that the instrument can become a measuring tool of learning outcome which has higher reliability and validity.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu model asessment autentik yang memiliki karakter khusus dan teruji sehingga layak digunakan untuk menilai keterampilan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa calon guru biologi dalam kegiatan praktik lapangan terpadu. Penelitian ini terdiri atas tahapan Analisis Kebutuhan, Analisis Proses dan Produk Pembelajaran, Penentuan Tujuan dan Manfaat Penelitian, Merancang Model dan Instrumen Asessment Autentik, serta Validasi Rancangan Model dan Instrumen Asessment Autentik yang dikembangkan. Tiga tahap pertama didasarkan pada wawancara terhadap dosen pembimbing dan mahasiswa peserta, serta pengamatan langsung dua kegiatan praktik lapangan di ekosistem pantai dan pegunungan. Pengembangan rancangan model dan instrumen asessment autentik didasarkan atas hasil analisis kebutuhan, sedangkan validasi dilakukan melalui penilaian pakar dan uji coba pada kalangan terbatas. Model instrumen asessment autentik yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi penilaian ranah pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap ilmiah, serta memiliki validitas isi dan bentuk/susunan yang cukup memadai secara logis dan empiris untuk mengukur keterampilan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa calon guru biologi dalam kegiatan praktik lapangan terpadu. Sosialisasi aspek-aspek penilaian mendorong mahasiswa untuk menunjukkan kinerja terbaiknya, menggali pengetahuan sendiri dan lebih bersikap ilmiah selama kegiatan praktik lapangan. Keberadaan instrumen penilaian autentik ini memberi kemudahan bagi dosen pembimbing untuk menentukan ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran mahasiswa dan menentukan bentuk tindakan bimbingannya lebih lanjut.ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to generate an authentic assessment model which has tested-distinctive characteristics so that it can be used to assess pre service Biology teachers’ problem-solving skills in an integrated field practice activities. This study consists of Needs Analysis, Process and Learning Product Analysis, Study Objectives and Benefits Determination, Authentic Assessment Model and Instrument Designing, as well as Design and Instrument Validation. The first three steps are based on lecturers and participating students interview results, and also direct observation of two field practice activities in coastal and rangeland ecosystems. The authentic assessment design and instrument development was based on the results of needs analysis, while validation is done based on experts’ judgements and trials in limited audience. The model of authentic assessment instrument developed in this study includes assessment of the realm of knowledge, skills, and scholarly behavior. Moreover, its content and construct were validated as logically and empirically adequate to assess problem-solving skill. Socialization of assessment aspects encourages the students to show their best performances, explore knowledge by themselves, and be more scholarly during field practice activities. The existence of this authentic assessment instrument provides convenience for supervisors in determining student’ learning objective achievement and further guiding actions.

Abstract

Puri Cipageran Indah (PCI) I market waste in Cimahi City is currently not managed by implementing local reduction and processing. Currently, waste is only collected and transported to the nearest TPS, without sorting and processing. There is a desire from local RW managers to do better waste management. Currently, there are around 108 traders in the market area, which only operate from 06.00-10.00 and in the afternoon for culinary traders. There is land for processing which is very limited in size (3×2 m) so that the processing technology that can be applied is also limited. One technology that can be applied is the processing of organic waste using Black Soldier Flies (BSF) larvae. Activities are carried out by holding meetings and mutual agreements regarding the layout of sanitation facilities including waste management. The provision of training to process waste using BSF larvae (maggot) was also carried out. The construction of facilities and environmental improvements are coordinated directly by partners by following the results of the agreement and research results regarding the waste processing process using maggot. In general, the activity went well, residents of PCI I Housing represented by the PCI Forum stated that they were greatly helped by the arrangement of the market area to be better and with educational nuances for the general public.

Abstract

Soft skills merupakan bagian keterampilan dari seseorang yang lebih bersifat pada kehalusan atau sensitifitas perasaan seseorang terhadap lingkungan di sekitarnya  Soft skills menjadi suatu hal yang sangat penting karena kesuksesan seseorang tidak hanya ditentukan oleh pengetahuan dan kemampuan teknis (hard skills) saja, tetapi yang lebih utama didukung oleh kemampuan mengelola diri dan orang lain (soft skills). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kegiatan UKM dan kegiatan perkuliahan dalam aktivitas presentasi yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan soft skills mahasiswa calon guru. Metode penelitian ini  merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program kerja Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa dan proses perkuliahan pada aktivitas diskusi mahasiswa mulai menerapkan aspek-aspek soft skills. Aspek soft skills yang dijaring terdiri dari beberapa aspek yaitu kemampuan berkomunikasi, kemampuan berfikir atau bernalar, kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah, kerjasama tim, etika/moral dan keterampilan kepemimpinan.Keywords: Soft Skills, Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa

Abstract

Abstract. The role of the teacher in an effort to improve the quality of learning is very essential, this is in line with the changing demands of the changing times, the teacher should also follow the existing demands. Technology in learning is currently experiencing rapid development. The teacher also begins to modify learning by involving technology in learning. Bandung is a city that is very dynamic to change. Welcoming the Bandung Smart City launched by the city government of Bandung, the government institutions one of which is a state school to adjust it. Even though it has extraordinary potential, it needs support to maximize the potential of innovative learning that can be done. One of the improvements in pedagogical competence is the use of instructional media, the use of current media that can be utilized by students through learning applications found in students' devices. Through training learning applications Quizizz for teachers can improve digital literacy for students who really need to be developed at this time. The method of implementation was through training and mentoring of 25 elementary school teachers at SDN 164 Karangpawulang, Bandung. Based on the assistance that has been done, the results obtained in the form of a 75% increase in knowledge of the trainees. This learning application training is very useful for teachers who have an impact on students in the class.Keyword: quizizz, mobile learning, digital literacy Abstrak.  Peran guru dalam usaha peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran sangat esensial, hal ini seiring sejalan dengan perubahan tuntutan jaman yang terus berkembang maka guru juga hendaknya mengikuti tuntutan yang ada. Teknologi dalam pembelajaran saat ini mengalami perkembangan pesat. Guru juga mulai memodifikasi pembelajaran dengan melibatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Kota Bandung merupakan kota yang sangat dinamis terhadap perubahan. Menyongsong Bandung Smart City yang dicanangkan oleh pemerintah Kota Bandung, maka institusi pemerintah salah satunya adalah sekolah negeri menyesuaikan hal tersebut. Walaupun memiliki potensi yang luar biasa maka perlu sokongan untuk memaksimalkan potensi inovasi pembelajaran yang bisa dilakukan. Peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik salah satunya adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran, penggunaan media saat ini yang dapat dimanfaatkan siswa melalui aplikasi pembelajaran yang terdapat pada gawai yang dimiliki siswa. Melalui pelatihan aplikasi pembelajaran Quizizz bagi guru dapat meningkatkan literasi digital bagi siswa yang sangat perlu dikembangkan saat ini. Metode pelaksanaan melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan 25 guru SD yang dilakukan di SDN 164 Karangpawulang Kota Bandung. Berdasarkan pendampingan yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil berupa peningkatan pengetahuan 75% dari peserta pelatihan. Pelatihan aplikasi pembelajaran ini sangat bermanfaat dilakukan bagi guru yang berdampak kepada siswa di kelas. Kata Kunci: quizizz, mobile learning, digital literasi

Abstract

Peningkatan mutu penyelenggaraan akademik di sekolah dititik beratkan pada penciptaan proses pembelajaran yang kondusif, efektif dan efisien, agar dapat memberikan bekal kemampuan akademis dan profesional kepada para siswa, sehingga lulusan yang dihasilkan siap bersaing di pasar global. Guru harus berfikir kreatif dalam merancang dan melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran seperti halnya penerapan lessons study dan peningkatan soft skills.  Lesson Study merupakan suatu kegiatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan pengembangan keprofesionalan guru. Pengembangan diri dan pembangunan karakter siswa juga diperlukan dan merupakan unsur penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Selama ini pendidikan di negeri ini hanya menekankan pada hard skills dengan alasan indikator pada hard skills lebih mudah untuk diukur dan diamati daripada indikator soft skills. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata keterlaksanaan implementasi penilaian soft skills cenderung pada kategori baik dimana nilai rata-ratanya diatas 80% dan nilai rerata indikator soft skills pada kategori Mulai Berkembang (MB) dan Mulai Membudaya (MM). Kata Kunci: pembelajaran, lesson study, soft skills

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is a qualitative descriptive. Data collection done through limited interviews and observation sheets. The results obtained are in the form of soft skills profiles of student as a biology teacher candidate on the implementation of education oriented with lesson study. Score of the accuracy of word selection  60%, score of clarity of the use of words  40%, score of the ability of students to compare various data from several sources 55%, score of analyzing problem relationships 45%, score of identifying the problem 65%, score of limiting the problem 35%, score of contributions to groups 55%, score of member responsibility 45%, score of the ability to manage an organization is the quality of information sources 50%, score of the quality of information management 50% and score of the honesty 70%. Abstract

Wijayakusuma ornamental plant (Epiphyllum oxypetalum (DC.) Haw.) is a plant that is easily propagated by cuttings. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to pay attention to the planting media used. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of providing planting media based on biotechnology agents on the growth of Wijayakusuma ornamental plants. This study is a quasi-experimental quantitative study using a Randomized Block Design, this study used six treatments with four replications. Follow-up test using Duncan's Post-Hoc Test at a level of 5% using SPSS version 26 program. The results of the analysis of various studies stated that planting media based on biotechnological agents with a mixture of burnt husks, cocopeat, raw husks, andam, livestock manure and liquid fertilizer obtained results < 0.05 which means that it has a significant effect on the parameters measured, such as the number of leaves, stem height, and plant root length. These results indicate that the effectiveness of using growing media containing potassium, calcium, phosphorus, through the fermentation process, contains biotechnological agents such as rhizobium, mycorrhizae, and phytohormones that affect plant growth. The most optimal composition of planting media based on biotechnology agents for plants based on Duncan's Post-Hoc test results is T2 treatment with a composition of growing media based on biotechnology agents + roasted husk growing media. Then there is no relationship between climatic factors with the growth of ornamental plants Wijayakusuma. Wijayakusuma plants grow well in places that are not exposed to direct sunlight, normal environmental temperature and humidity, moist soil that is neither too wet nor too dry, and optimal soil pH.

Abstract

Planting media is the most important aspect for plant growth. However, in fact, agricultural land in Indonesia is of relatively low quality. These factors include nutrient deficits, decreased levels of organic matter, pollution, decreased microbial activity, and salinization/alkalinization. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of planting media based on biotechnology agents on the growth of Episcia cupreata. The method is a quasi-experimental, RAK design (Randomized Block Design) with 6 treatments, 4 treatments. Main data analysis with ANOVA test and DMRT test level 5% and supporting data with correlation analysis. The result shows the effectiveness of using planting media based on biotechnology agents on the growth of Episcia cupreata. The most optimal growth of the number of leaves produced by treatment T1 with an average of 19.75, stem height by treatment T2 with an average of 48 cm, and root length by treatment T2 with an average of 10,27 cm. Physicochemical conditions include soil pH, temperature, air humidity, soil moisture, and light intensity were correlated with the growth of Episcia cupreata.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, people are looking for activities that can fill their spare time, one of which is the cultivation of ornamental plants. In addition to channeling hobbies, ornamental plant cultivation can increase people's income by marketing products to the market. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills in the cultivation of Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plants vegetatively and by cuttings, to partners and provide information about business prospects and marketing strategies for fruit and ornamental plants in Griya Prima Asri Complex, Kec. Baleendah, Kab. Bandung. The selection of the Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plant as the object of service because this plant can grow in Indonesian climatic conditions, easy to care for, easy to observe and measure its growth, such as number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, stem height, and root length. In addition, marketing assistance for ornamental plant products and fruit plants that are developed vegetatively is also carried out. The methods used are socialization, workshops/training, and monitoring. The results of this activity were 90% of the participants stated that the ornamental plant propagation training provided benefits and knowledge to cultivate and develop them into entrepreneurial prospects, in the midst of many people who lost their jobs due to the impact of the pandemic.
