Abstract

Indonesia has abundant mineral resources used as natural adsorbent materials for the absorption of heavy metal. Among these are natural zeolites, clay, and ashes. These natural materials showed high performance adsorption capacity with respects to their low cost and high availability. Several research reports had been published for studying the performance of the natural materials as adsorbent of several heavy metals i.e., Hg, Pb, Fe, Cd, Cr, Zn, Ni, and Cu by examining the effect of various factors, including pH, contact time, initial concentration, temperature, and dosage. Furthermore, to determine the adsorption rate, mechanism, and efficiency of natural materials in the removal of toxic metals from aqueous solution, investigations have been made of the parameters of the adsorption isotherms, kinetics, and thermodynamics. The main objective of this article is to provide an overview of the use of some natural materials found in Indonesia, including clay, natural zeolite, fly ash, and bottom ash for use as adsorbents for several types of heavy metals in aqueous solution. These types of natural adsorbents were chosen as their high availability in natural or disposal product and their high performance regarding their heavy metal uptakes. This article review is important in order to capture the current research reported the use Indonesia natural minerals as adsorbent of heavy metals and providing its future research opportunities. Thus, we also emphasize the prospect materials and the future research opportunities for the use of Indonesia's local natural minerals with the utilization of non-conventional modification techniques that can provide added value and improve the performance of these natural materials in removing heavy-metal waste from aqueous solutions.

Abstract

In this research has been made beverage seaweed from main ingredient of red seaweed type Eucheuma cottonii with added other food ingredients that serve to improve the taste. In addition to labeling and commercially produced, it is necessary to determine the shelf life in seaweed beverage. Determination of shelf life of beverage seaweed was done by Accelerated Shelf Life Testing (ASLT) method. Beverage seaweed studied there are two flavors of original taste and green tea. Based on parameters of pH value, shelf life of original taste is 17 days and the taste of green tea is 34 days. The result is for storage at room temperature 30 °C

Abstract

Pencemaran lingkungan, terutama pada air sangat banyak terjadi, hal ini dapat diatasi salah satunya melalui proses adsorpsi menggunakan biosorbent berupa karbon aktif. Salah satu bahan yang melimpah dan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk karbon aktif adalah biomassa eceng gondok. Kualitas karbon aktif ditentukan oleh luas permukaan yang dapat dipengaruhi dari aktivatornya. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi aktivator HCl terhadap luas permukaan karbon aktif dari eceng gondok. Diharapkan dengan penelitian ini didapat luas permukaan maksimum, sehingga dapat menjadi langkah optimasi untuk menghasilkan biosorbent berbasis biomassa sehingga dapat mengurangi akumulasi limbah organik pada perairan. Beberapa tahapan yang telah dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembuatan karbon aktif yang terdiri dari proses dehidrasi, karbonasi, dan aktivasi menggunakan variasi konsentrasi HCl; dan proses pengujian luas permukaan karbon aktif menggunakan methylene blue. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa semakin besar konsentrasi HCl maka akan semakin kecil luas permukaan karbon aktif. Luas permukaan paling besar didapat pada konsentrasi aktivator HCl 1 M yakni sebesar 45487.55 10-3km2 kg-1 di mana proses adsorpsi yang terjadi mengikuti pola grafik isothermal Langmuir.

Abstract

Harapan hidup masyarakat indonesia pada tiga tahun terakhir menurun 0,1% dari 276,4 juta jiwa. Penurunan ini diakibatkan pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda tahun 2019. Peluang keparahan penyakit Covid-19 semakin meningkat apabila penderita memiliki penyakit komorbid. Komorbid covid-19 diakibatkan oleh penyakit tidak menular seperti penyakit jantung, diabetes millitus, dan hipertensi. Hadirnya komorbid ini dapat meningkatkan peluang kematian hingga 29 kali apabila terjangkit Covid-19. Munculnya penyakit tidak menular diakibatkan kemudahan dan kenyamanan moderenisasi yang menimbulkan perilaku gaya hidup yang tidak sehat. Seperti kurang bergerak, kesalahan diet, stress, konsumsi alkohol dan rokok. Sosialisasi kewaspadaan penyakit tidak menular melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat telah dilakukan dalam menunjang pencegahan, dan pengobatan sebagai pembelajaran dari faktor komorbid pada pandemi lalu. Sosialisasi dilakukan dengan metode pemaparan materi dengan pretes dan postes serta sesi tanya jawab. Hasil sosialisasi meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta menjadi 96%. Selaras dengan peningkatan pengetahuan penyakit tidak menular, para peserta diharapkan mampu merubah pola hidup menjadi lebih sehat sehingga terhindar dari resiko memburuknya penyakit seperti pada covid-19.   Abstract: Indonesian people's life expectancy in the last three years decreased by 0.1% from 276.4 million people. This decrease was due to the Covid-19 pandemic that hit in 2019. The chances of the severity of Covid-19 disease increasing if sufferers have comorbid diseases. Co-morbid co-19 is caused by non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension. The presence of these comorbidities can increase the chance of death by up to 29 times if infected with Covid-19. The emergence of non-communicable diseases is due to the convenience and comfort of modernization which has led to unhealthy lifestyle behaviors. Such as lack of movement, diet errors, stress, consumption of alcohol and cigarettes. Dissemination of awareness of non-communicable diseases through community empowerment needs to be carried out in support of prevention and treatment as learning from comorbid factors in the past pandemic. Socialization is carried out by the method of material exposure with pretest and posttest as well as a question and answer session. The socialization results increased the participants' knowledge to 96%. In line with the increase in knowledge of non-communicable diseases, the participants are expected to be able to change their lifestyle to become healthier so that they avoid the risk of worsening diseases such as Covid-19.

Abstract

The main and tough task in the field of education is to improve students' literacy skills and learn morality, so that it is hoped that students in Indonesia can become highly intellectual and well-behaved and moral. This research and development aims to develop literacy skills and religious moderation abilities of students at SDN Kadipaten 1. This research and development uses the ADDIE development model. With 5 stages of development and 4 types of data collection carried out namely interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. There are 4 indicators of literacy skills used in this study, namely reading, writing, spoken language, and linguistics. Meanwhile, indicators of the ability to moderate religion use indicators of national commitment, respecting opinions, being accommodating to local culture, and being sensitive to the surroundings. The results of this study indicate that this ethnopedagogy-based inquiry development model can be used to improve religious literacy and moderation abilities with an average ability obtained of 90% and 92%. This development is carried out by adding feedback and appreciation and reflection syntax in the development of inquiry learning.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk 1) Guru dapat mengurutkan langkah–langkah pembelajaran PBL-STEM; 2) Guru dapat merancang E-LKPD berbasis pembelajaran PBL-STEM menggunakan aplikasi berbasis digital, 3) Guru dapat menghasilkan E-LKPD berbasis pembelajaran PBL-STEM. Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebanyak tujuh tahapan pengabdian yang dilakukan: (1) Koordinasi, (2) Desain, 3) Pembuatan Instrumen, (4) Pelaksanaan, (5) Evaluasi, (6) Manajemen, dan (7) Publikasi. Tempat pengabdian kali ini adalah SMAN 1 Gresik, sedangkan peserta dalam kegiatan ini sebanyak 10 guru. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar respon peserta. Hasil lembar respon peserta menyatakan hasil sebesar 94,50 dengan kategori sangat baik.
