Abstract

Anemia is a condition in which the level of hemoglobin (Hb) in the blood is lower than the normal value for the group of people concerned, with the administration of Fe tablets can prevent anemia in which Fe tablets are the most important biocatalytic element in human enzymology, with its main role in oxidative metabolism, cell proliferation and growth and oxygen storage and transport. The purpose of this community service activity is self-medication counseling, especially the use of Fe tablets to overcome anemia in adolescents, so that the Sejahtera village community has the knowledge to recognize the symptoms of the disease, the selection of drugs according to the disease and the right dose for self-medication or self-medication of the disease. mild anemia. The type of research used is an analytical survey with a qualitative approach, making observations, in-depth interviews (indept interviews) and documentation. The results showed that there were still many young women in the Sejahtera Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency who did not understand and understand the use and benefits of Fe tablets and what anemia is. This is due to the lack of education regarding the use and benefits of Fe tablets and the dangers of anemia for young women. Education related to self-medication of the use of Fe tablets and the dangers of anemia needs to be given to young women, so that young women realize the benefits of Fe tablets for health, namely for the prevention of anemia.
