Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia masih menunjukkan persoalan pada kemampuan literasi dan numerasi para peserta didik. Sebagai respon atas permasalahan ini, pemerintah mencanangkan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang fokusnya pada kamampuan literasi dan numerasi. Dalam penerapan kurikulum baru, para guru dituntut untuk cepat beradaptasi sehingga diperlukan dukungan dan pendampingan bagi mereka dalam proses persiapan penerapan kurikulum baru. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memperlengkapi para guru dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka secara khusus terkait kompetensi literasi dan numerasi. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Semau Selatan dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 30 (tigapuluh) orang guru. Pelaksanaan kegiatan yang berlangsung pada hari Jumat, 28 Juli 2023 ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yakni pembukaan, kegiatan inti, dan penutupan. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest, terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta pelatihan dimana rerata nilai pretest naik dari 65 (kategori rendah) menjadi 73 (kategori sedang). Selain itu, evaluasi kegiatan yang dilakukan menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan para guru dalam kategori tinggi, baik terkait penyelenggaraan, narasumber, maupun sarana prasarana. Secara keseluruhan, berdasarkan hasil posttest dan evaluasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM ini telah menjawab kebutuhan sekolah.Literacy and numeracy have been challenges for Indonesian education. To respond to such a problem, the Indonesian government has implemented Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, focusing on literacy and numeracy competence. In implementing a new curriculum, teachers are forced to quickly adapt to it. Therefore, support and assistance for them are needed. The purpose of this Community Service activity was to equip teachers to face the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka, especially related to literacy and numeracy competence. The training was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Semau Selatan and involved as many as 30 (thirty) teachers. The training conducted on Friday, 28th July 2023, covered three phases: opening, training, and closing. Based on the pretest and posttest, the mean score was improved from 65 ( low category) to 73 (average category). Besides, the evaluation showed that the participants expressed satisfaction with the training, trainer, and venue. All in all, based on posttest result and evaluation, it can be concluded that the community service conducted has answered the school’s problem.

Abstract

The effectiveness of industry involvement in vocational secondary schools can increase the absorption of vocational high school graduates in the world of work. Previous research focuses on program evaluation or industrial needs analysis, while this research focused on industrial classroom management strategies in increasing the absorption of vocational high school graduates. This study aimed to analyse strategic management's role in increasing the absorption of vocational high school graduates in the world of business, industry and work. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study type. Data collection techniques used are observation and in-depth interviews, and the analysis technique adopted in the study is pattern matching. The results found four main themes, which include: 1). vision and mission of the industrial class, 2). policies, regulations, and policies in the industrial class in increasing graduate absorption, 3). Learning programs and activities in industrial classes in increasing graduate absorption, and 4) strategic steps taken by schools in industrial class programs in increasing graduate absorption.
