Abstract

This research aims to determine the socio-cultural picture of early marriage in the Selayar Islands district. This research method uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, namely collecting data by conducting in-depth interviews with 16 informants aged 15-18 years who have experienced early marriage. The results of the research show that there are several things that are the main causes of early marriage in the Selayar Islands district, precisely in Benteng sub-district, South Selawesi, namely; arranged marriages, social environment, economics and promiscuity. Perceptions about children marrying at an early age, some respondents said the reason for marrying at an early age was because of the arranged marriage element, the element of like-mindedness and the element of necessity due to promiscuity. Perceptions about children getting married at an early age, some respondents said that their parents did not agree with their marriage. In conclusion, there are several things that are the main causes of early marriage in the Selayar Islands Regency, namely: arranged marriages, social environment and promiscuity. Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang senam jantung sehat dan pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis dilakukan oleh AKPER Putra Pertiwi Watansoppeng di Sekertariat Majelis Kabupaten Soppeng. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kesehatan jantung dan pentingnya pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin. Melalui tahapan perencanaan, persiapan, publikasi, dan pelaksanaan, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan manfaat yang signifikan. Hasilnya menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Kegiatan berjalan lancar tanpa hambatan yang signifikan, dan masyarakat merespon dengan antusias. Program pengobatan gratis mendapatkan apresiasi tinggi, dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang bahaya penyakit seperti diabetes melitus semakin meningkat. Dengan keberhasilan ini, diharapkan dapat terbentuk program rutin pengobatan gratis yang memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi kesehatan masyarakat di Sekertariat Majelis Kabupaten Soppeng. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga mendorong kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga kesehatan jantung dan melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara berkala guna mencegah penyakit yang berhubungan dengan jantung.

Abstract

Community empowerment efforts are a crucial strategy in improving environmental health in the midst of global challenges such as pollution, climate change, and ecosystem damage. Methods such as education, training, active participation, and collaboration between related parties, communities can gain the knowledge, skills, and awareness needed to maintain a healthy environment. The results of these empowerment activities include increased community participation in environmental decision-making, behavior change towards sustainable practices, development of environmentally friendly communities, and broader collaboration in solving environmental problems. In conclusion, community empowerment efforts not only provide benefits in improving environmental health, but also strengthen community capacity in contributing to overall sustainable development. Synergy between various parties is the key to achieving significant and sustainable changes in maintaining environmental health for a sustainable future.

Abstract

The purpose of the extension activities involving the Marioriwawo village community is to get an overview of non-communicable diseases through free health checks. While the targets to be achieved are checking blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and uric acid which is a form of intervention for non-communicable disease health problems. Thus it is very necessary to have free health checks on a regular basis. The activity method used is through Community Empowerment Learning which is a strategic solution for partners by providing free health checks. The activity plan that will be proposed in this community service program: 1) free health checks. 2) counseling at posyandu. 3) Scheduling health check-up activities in schools for teenagers. 4) Evaluation of community service programs.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional needs are very important in helping the growth and development process in infants and children; considering the benefits of nutrients in the body can help the process of growth and development of children. Purpose: Determine the determinants of the incidence of malnutrition status in toddlers. Method: The research design used is analytical descriptive research using the cross-sectional study approach. Results: Statistical tests showed that the diet obtained a calculated p = 0.000 and maternal knowledge p = 0.01. Conclusion: A determinant factor to the incidence of malnutrition in toddlers; is diet and the mother's knowledge level. The nurse's recommendation is expected to increase the provision of counseling to the community, especially for mothers who have toddlers, about the importance of nutrition or nutrition in toddlers in the process of growth and development.

Abstract

Background: Health services require health workers who are devoted to every field of health and have the knowledge and skills in the health sector to carry out health efforts. Health workers perform their obligations and duties must be based on licenses and rules that the hospital has determined. Purpose: Knowing the attitude and behavior of nurses towards preventing Nosocomial infections. Method: Descriptive research design using cross-sectional study design. There were 75 samples with a total sampling technique. Results: This showed that nurse attitudes for all nurses had a positive attitude of 75 respondents and negative behavior of 1 respondent. Conclusion: The whole nurse has a positive attitude towards preventing nosocomial infections. Factors associated with nosocomial infections are invasive tinting and infusion insertion, overcrowded room, misuse of antibiotics, improper sterilization procedures, and non-observance of infection control regulations by nurses

Abstract

Introduction: Population ageing is one of the significant challenges in modern society, with the increasing number of elderly populations. Prevention and management of health conditions have become very important, and the Prolanis gymnastics program has been recognized as one of the effective methods. Motivation plays a central role in shaping health behaviours and habits. Methods: This research is quantitative with an analytical design with a sectional study design approach. The population in this study was all Prolanis Participants suffering from Hypertension, with the number of samples in the survey 41 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was accidental sampling. Results: The Chi-square Statistical test on the influence of motivation on the participation of older adults with Hypertension in prolonged gymnastics activities obtained a p-value = 0.000 or smaller than a = 0.05 (0.000<0.05). Conclusions: The influence of motivation on the activeness of older adults with Hypertension in protagonist gymnastics activities. Motivation influences the activeness of older adults with Hypertension in prolantic gymnastics activities. High motivation can be an essential factor in encouraging active participation in prolanist gymnastics programs, which in turn can support the management of hypertensive conditions and improve the well-being of older people. However, it is essential to remember that these conclusions are general and cannot be taken as absolute truth without supporting data and evidence.
