Abstract

Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah mengembangkan modul Trigonometri bercirikan open-ended problem yang dapat mendukung mahasiswa berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kriteria kualitas valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini mengadaptasi model 4D oleh Thiagarajan, dkk yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (develop). Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah mahasiswa semester gasal 2016/2017. Modul, instrumen (lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa dan lembar angket respon mahasiswa), dan RPP yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid. Modul ini juga memenuhi kriteria praktis yang ditunjukkan oleh: (1) hasil pengamatan aktivitas mahasiswa yang memenuhi kategori sangat baik, dan (2) mahasiswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul Trigonometri bercirikan open-ended problem. Modul ini memenuhi kriteria efektif yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan hasil tes observasi awal dan tes setelah uji coba modul. Kata Kunci: pengembangan, modul trigonometri, open-ended problem

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the level of students' reasoning ability to solve the problems on flat sides of Geometry with the level of mathematical reasoning ability of high, moderate and low. The types and the research approaches used were descriptive qualitative and quantitative research design. The research subjectswere 6 students from class VIIIF. The form of data collection included 4 items ofwritten questions test and interview on the subject selected. Based on the analysis, the average value of the entire instrument about the mathematical reasoning abilities gained 71.5% for the indicators that carried out the calculations based on mathematical formulas or rules applicable. While 73.33% and 71.5% for the indicator of conclusions and 66.67% for the indicator ofestimation, that ifsummedup and averaged the percentage was 69%. The ability of class VIIIF students’ mathematical reasoning was fair.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian autentik kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian Research and Development. Intrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi dan lembar angket respon siswa. Prosedur yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini antara lain: 1) menganalisis kurikulum, 2) membuat instrumen, 3) melakukan validasi terhadap instrumen, 4) merevisi instrumen, dan 5) menerapkan instrumen pada pembelajaran. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian pengembangan ini adalah 1) berdasarkan hasil validasi, instrumen berkategori valid dan dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran, 2) instrumen penilaian autentik mendapatkan respon positif oleh guru mata pelajaran matematika

Abstract

This research aimed at discovering the validity and effectiveness of the interactive media of "Venn Gram" to improve the conceptual understanding of the set operations. This research was a development research (research and development). The research subjects were the students of 7th grade who consisted of nine students. The data collection techniques were in the form of a validation questionnaire and test. The subjects were in the form of pre-test and post-test questions which later the answer sheets were used as an increase of students' conceptual understanding before and after using the media. The validation questionnaire results showed that 84% of the media were very valid, 83% of the material was very valid, and 82% of the test questions were very valid. The test results found that seven students experienced an increase in the pre-test and post-test scores. Meanwhile, two other students experienced a decrease. The results of students who had increased showed that the ability of students in understanding the concept of set operations was included in the high criteria before and after using the media. The media of the Venn Gram can be used to improve the conceptual understanding of set operations.

Abstract

Nowadays, the government is promoting the Individual Learning Activity Sheet (UKBM) for the student in mathematics learning. UKBM provides opportunities for students to study independently and provides the chance for students to complete assignments (UKBM) differently for each student in one class. The aim of this study was to increase collaborative activity skills and student’s learning outcomes through puzzle-assisted Guided Discovery Learning learning models. This study was a classroom. action research within two cycles consisting of the planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage, and reflection stage. The instruments used were observation sheets and test sheets. The teaching material is UKBM. The results of a guided discovery learning study assisted by puzzles with UKBM teaching materials there is an increase in student’s collaborative abilities and learning outcomes. Keywords: Guided Discovery Learning, Collaborative Ability, Learning Outcomes, Media Puzzle

Abstract

Abstract: Learning mathematics on geometry transformation will be meaningful by applying problems in real life on LKM. This research intends to develop Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa using RECCE-MODEL framework with research and development method. 3D model used in this studdy that containts of three stages, there are definition stage, design stage, and development stage. This study using validation sheet and student questionnaire response sheet as the research instrument. From the result of the study, LKM that developed was valid with percentage of 79% and practical with percentage of 85%.Abstrak: Pembelajaran matermatika pada mata kuliah geometri transformasi akan bermakna dengan penerapan masalah-masalah di kehidupan nyata dalam Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa menggunakan kerangka kerja RECCE-MODEL dengan menggunakan tipe penelitian dan pengembangan. Model 3D yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini memuat tiga tahapan, yakni tahap pengertian, tahap pembuatan, dan tahap pengembangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan lembar angket respon mahasiswa dan lembar validasi sebagai instrument penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian, LKM yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dengan persentase 79% dan praktis dengan persentase 85%.

Abstract

In carrying out learning, educators must be creative in accordance with the demands of technology in developing learning media. YouTube is one of the domains used by educators as an online learning medium. This study aims to determine the effect of using YouTube as an online learning media on students' interest in learning mathematics and critical thinking. The subjects in this study were 20 junior high school students. This study uses the Experimental Teaching method with a quantitative approach. The instruments used are questionnaires and test questions that are given online. Questionnaires were distributed on the subject using a google form and test questions were given after learning using YouTube media. Questionnaires were used to obtain data on interest in learning mathematics and test questions to measure students' critical thinking. Data analysis used paired sample test with a significant level of 0.05. Before carrying out the paired sample test, the normality and homogeneity of the data were tested. The results obtained data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The results showed that there was an effect of using YouTube online learning media on students' interest in learning and critical thinking skills. This is indicated by the significance value for learning interest of 0.017 which is less than 0.05 and the significance value of critical thinking 0.005 which is smaller than 0.05. Furthermore, the value of N-Gain is sought to determine the extent of the influence of YouTube media on interest in learning and critical thinking. The N-Gain value for students' interest in learning mathematics is 0.12 and critical thinking is 0.28. Both values are in the low category so that the influence of YouTube media on interest in learning and critical thinking is less effective.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning was fully carried out online. However, the implementation of learning is still not optimal, especially in evaluating student activities.Using online learning, lecturers have difficulty observing student activities, and mostly, online learning was done using assignments or even a teacher-centered. This research was expected to accommodate the application of online learning by the student center using the LAPS-Heuristic model. This study aims to describe student activities in the application of online learning using the Logan Avanue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristic model on geometry material. This research uses a descriptive qualitative-quantitative approach. The research steps were carried out, starting from research planning, implementing the LAPS-Heuristic model online, analyzing, and evaluating activities. Student activity data were obtained from observations made by researchers and one observer. Based on the findings in the study, student activities in the application of online learning using the LAPS-Heuristic model on geometry material are described in 7 aspects. The seven aspects are visual, verbal, listening, writing, drawing, calculating / problem solving, and emotional aspects. In learning reflection material online by applying the LAPS Heuristic learning model, the seven aspects of the activity appear very well.
