Abstract

This study aims to examine the stock market reaction to the announcement of the stock buy back with two indicators of AAR and CAAR. The sample taken is a company that does the announcement of stock buy back in the period 2008 - 2013. Study also tested the market reaction between two groups of companies announcing stock buyback based on BAPEPAM-LK regulations are used. The first group are companies conducting announcements of stock but back by BAPEPAM-​​LK regulations number XI.B.2 which is rules on stock buy back under normal conditions and the second group by BAPEPAM-LK regulation number XI.B.3 which is rules on stock buy back on market conditions potentially crisis. The results showed that there was a significant positive market reaction around the announcement of the stock buy back as indicated by the value of AAR and CAAR are significant. The results also showed that there were significant differences in market reaction between companies that stock buy back announcements reference to BAPEPAM -LK regulations number XI.B.2 with the companies referring to BAPEPAM -LK regulations number XI.B.3. Market reaction to the company that conducting stock buy back announcements with reference to the rules BAPEPAM-LK number XI.B.2 have been reacted all positively, whereas the company that refers to BAPEPAM -LK regulation number XI.B.3 there are some that have been reacted negatively. Abstract

This study aims to establish a model operationalization BOS program, through the analysis of Quality Function Deployment. This study was based on the presence of a variety of complaints that come from the communities to the BOS program that they can not benefit from the one hand, and the other side the Government felt that the implementation of BOS has reached three rights are the right time, the right amount, and on target. Public dissatisfaction conditions to the program evidenced by the high dropout rates.The extent to which the BOS program helps students in education funding, in turn raises a big question mark because of government policies and rhetoric seem apparent.Because it was the children of farmers, laborers, street vendors, low class servants, janitors still do not get the ease and lightness in education.Free school which echoed the Government would make society under increasingly sad to hear that. The first results of this study is the expectationof the people to the BOS program, namely:most of BOS funds can be used to offset the cost of student transportation, schools have adequate science laboratories and maximum usage, quality textbooks provided by the school, BOS program can ease the burden of school, students can discuss with the teacher outside of school hours, andSchool Committee oversees use of the funds. From this analysis known gap formed between community expectations with the level of BOS concept is still very high, both western and central regions Indonesia.Researchers feel that there is no proper policy of the Government to secure the nation's ideals in improving quality through Learning Program 9 years.Therefore, we need strategies to be more comprehensive to narrow the gap between idealism with the realities on the ground, so that education becomes more obvious problems 'roots' and more 'effective and efficient' ways to overcome. Redesigns recommended are monitoring and evaluation, increase teacher motivation, integrated management system, operational guidelines for use of the funds, supervision attached, and additional facilities. To accomplish these results it is necessary to continue the research terms, that is for two eastern Indonesia: Maluku and Papua. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test the influences of critical success factors of ERP implementation. The use of variables based on the results of previous research, which directly influences the Top management support, Business Process Reengineering, Effective Project Management and Education and training toward critical success factors of ERP Implementation. The use of these variables can solve the problems in determining appropriate strategies for the successful ERP Implementation. According to Martin (1998) 90% of ERP implementation has been delayed and the success rate is only about 33%. The population used in this research were all ERP users at a packaging company and the sample size is 57 people. Data collection techniques in this research using questionnaires and data analysis technique using Partial Least Square (PLS) which is run with the help of Smart PLS 2.0 M3 software. The analysis showed that Top Management Support and Education and training influence the success of ERP implementation, while the other variables such as Business Process Reengineering and Effective Project Management does not affect the successful implementation of ERP. To increase the success rate of ERP implementation, users on the companies that are or have implemented ERP systems should consider some factors such as Top Management Support and Education and training because these factors shown to affect the success rate of ERP implementation. Abstract

The aim of this research is to plan business model for Zapateria’s cafe using BMC framework. Zapateria will be presented as example of development service cafe system which offer coziness, the simplicity of eat and shop which never been offered by other cafe. Moreover, the data exist showed the sum of people who visit Bandung for culinary and shopping with the number increase time to time. Those things are the reasons why this research made which are business model for cafe and shoes shop at one blow. Knowing the responses from the prospect of customers, which are adults, tourists, community, and shoes lover is the main aim of this research as a support in making business model plan that will be established. Qualitative method is the methodology used by the research which also triangulasi theory which are practitioners, expertise of cafe business, and experts in business field as data source. Direct interview to all source become technique to gather the data. The results analyzed and become indicator in empathy map. From the results of interview held show there are disappointment for miss delivery order and willingness of improvement for service offered by the exist cafe in Bandung by music performance in weekend and using gadget for integrated order from customer to the kitchen to reduce mistaken order and missing order. Abstract

Perusahaan memiliki tanggung jawab sosial guna memberikan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitar. Program tanggung jawab sosial (corporate social responsibility) yang dilakukan perusahaan dapat berupa kegiatan di bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, sosial, dan lingkungan. Penelitian yang kami lakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana program CSR yang dilakukan oleh BUMN di Bandung serta membuat model berkaitan dengan CSR pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap 35 BUMN di kota Bandung, program CSR yang banyak dilakukan adalah di bidang pendidikan dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk (1) Mengidentifikasi program-program CSR BUMN yang ada di Kota Bandung, (2) Mengidentifikasi program-program CSR BUMN yang ada di Kota Bandung yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan di Kota Bandung, (3) Menyusun program pelatihan (TOT) bagi sumber daya intelektual (dosen, profesional perusahaan, dan mahasiswa) yang terkait dengan program CSR di bidang pendidikan, (4) Merancang sebuah model pengembangan CSR dalam pendidikan sehingga dapat dijadikan acuan dan bahan evaluasi oleh pihak-pihak terkait untuk pengembangan selanjutnya. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode cross sectional berdasarkan studi pustaka dan survey (wawancara, focus group discussion, dan observasi). Tahapan kegiatan penelitian dimulai dari (1) tahap penyusunan desain studi, (2) penyusunan instrumen, (3) penarikan sampel, (4) pengumpulan data di lapangan, (5) tabulasi data, (6) pemilihan dan pemilahan data, (7) analisis data, dan (8) pelaporan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari 35 kuesioner yang diperoleh dari 35 BUMN di Bandung, bahwa CSR BUMN dilakukan dalam hal pendidikan, kesehatan, lingkungan, dan ekonomi. Bentuk program CSR di bidang pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh 35 BUMN di Bandung adalah berupa pemberian beasiswa, serta bantuan sarana dan prasarana sekolah. Abstract

Keputusan strategi dalam beberapa literatur berpengaruh terhadap kinerja ekonomis perusahaan, salah satu keputusan strategi yang diambil perusahaan adalah diversifikasi.Diversifikasi yang konsisten dengan coinsurance effectdapat meningkatkan kapasitas utang, mengurangi resiko kebangkrutan, meningkatkan penyebaran aset, dan profitabilitas. Penelitian inibertujuan mengetahui pengaruh diversifikasi perusahaan terhadap struktur modal. Diversifikasi perusahaan diukur dengan menggunakan Jacquemin-Berry Entropy Index, sementara struktur modal diukur dengan long term debt to equity ratio.Penelitian ini dilakukan pada24perusahaan (bukan sektor keuangan) yang termasuk dalam daftar LQ45 yang melakukan diversifikasi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif antara diversifikasi terhadap struktur modal perusahaan.Pengaruh diversifikasi terhadap struktur modal menguatkan pendapat bahwa keputusan strategi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja ekonomis kususnya kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Kata kunci: Diversifikasi usaha, Coinsurance Effect, Struktur Modal.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine whether the underwriter’s factors affect the initial return of the companies that were going to do Initial Public Offerings (IPO). This study uses the quantitative approach using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method to examine whether the underwriter’s factors affect the initial return. The samples of this study are companies which are doing the IPO in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2004- 2011. This study finds that the underwriter’s factors have significant effect for the companies which do IPO, such as prestige, number of syndicate, experience, and oversubscription. But other independent variables like reputation, total assets, age, and price revision have no significant impact to initial return. The paper provides useful information for emitens how to choose good underwriters to avoid underpricing which causes wealth transfer to investors, the underwriters with good prestige, big syndicates, a lot of experiences, and less of doing oversubscription are recommended. Abstract

Balanced Scorecard menyediakan kerangka komprehensif yang dapat menterjemahkan tujuan strategi perusahaan kedalam set pengukuran kinerja perusahaan secara menyeluruh, sehingga sangat membantu pimpinan peruahaan dalam mengimplementasikan strateginya secara efektif. Koperasi Karyawaan Redrying Bojonegoro merupakan bisnis yang sedang berkembang pesat dengan banyak unit usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem pengukuran kinerja dengan metode balanced scorecard pada Koperasi. Hal ini dikarenakan balanced scorecard mengukur kinerja perusahaan dari aspek keuangan dan non keuangan, internal maupun eksternal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dilakukan dengan men-translate visi, misi, tujuan koperasi kedalam sasaran strategik dan menyusun kedalam strategy map. Kemudian menentukan Key Performance Indicators dan validasi oleh pengurus secara focus discision group dengan dilanjutkan pembobotan KPI dengan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process. Hasil dari ini tersusunlah model balanced sorecard koperasi dengan 14 KPI dari 10 leg indicators dan hasil pembobotan KPI dengan AHP diperoleh bahwa perspektif keuangan memiliki hasil pembobotan tertinggi dengan nilai 0.418; peringkat kedua perspektif Pelanggan dengan nilai 0.271; peringkat ketiga perspektif Pemebelajaran dan Pertumbuhan 0.191; dan prioritas terakhir adalah perspektif proses bisnis internal dengan nilai 0.120. Abstract

Gadget development is becoming a phenomenon which attract the world’s attention today. Sophisticated telecommunications technology encourages the creation of newgadget especially Tablet PC. More and more people using this gadget to replace their computer use. The purpose of this study was to mapthe position of several Tablet PC brands such as Apple, Samsung, Smartfren, Acer, and ASUS based onthe perception of Bandung Electronic Center(BEC) visitors. Each day, around 25.000-40.000 visitors visit the BEC which is the largest electronic mall in Bandung. This is an exploratory reseach using the descriptive method. Multidimensional scaling technique used to mapped the 5 Tablet PC brandsinto six dimensions; product feature, brand, price, battery consumption (endurance), lifestyle and design. The questionnaires were delivered to 100 respondents using purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicated that Apple is still the best for product feature based on consumer perceptions . As for the best brand the winner is Samsung followed by Apple, ASUS, Acer and Smartfren. Based on price dimension the cheapest Tablet PC is Smartfren and Apple is the most expensive. Samsung is also the winner in the field of battery power consumption and Acer is the worst. The best Tablet PC in the field of the lifestyle is Samsung followed by Apple, ASUS, Acer and Smartfren. Finally, Tablet PC with the best design also goes to Samsung then followed by Apple, ASUS, Acer and Smartfren. Abstract

Education is a major concern of government in enhancing and improving the quality of human resources. Indonesia have stratified formal education which higher education contains of state university and private university. Surabaya is a city in Indonesia which has the largest public universities. There are four universities, there are universitas airlangga (UA), universitas negeri Surabaya (Unesa), institut teknologi sepuluh nopember (ITS), and IAIN sunan ampel. This study aims to test and analyze whether brand awareness, brand association, and perceived quality affect decision to choose state universities in Surabaya. This type of this research is quantitative, using multistage sampling with 377 respondents. Statistical analysis that used is the approach of mutiple linear regression which tested to every object. The results of this study showed that brand awareness and perceived quality has a positive influence on the decision to choose state universities in Surabaya. there are differences in the effect of brand association that the UA and Unesa positive influence while at IAIN Sunan Ampel, ITS and negative effect. Those influences has different athmosphere by respondent of Surabaya’s city branding. There’s not all of the respondent to consider city branding of Surabaya when they choose to study at Surabaya.
