Abstract

Research has the intention to; increase students' physics learning activities; improve students' cognitive abilities in Physics by using Physics Approach modules based on Scientific Approach for temperature and heat. The subjects of the study were 36th grade MIA 4 students of Kebakkramat Karanganyar State High School in the 2014/2015 academic year 2014/2015 with a total of 36 students. Based on data analysis and discussion in this study it can be concluded that: Physics learning through the use of Physics Approach modules based on Scientific Approach of temperature and heat material can increase Physics learning activities. In the first cycle has increased but only two aspects of learning activities have reached the success target while the other five aspects have still not reached the success target. In the second cycle all aspects of learning activities have increased and achieved success targets. Physics learning through the use of Physics Approach-based Physics Approach modules temperature and heat material can improve the cognitive abilities of Physics, can be seen from the results in the first cycle of students completeness by 33.3% and in the second cycle has increased to 80.6%. The target of cognitive performance is the completeness of students reaching 70%.

Abstract

The environment greatly influences learning independence, especially the student environment. This study aims to determine differences in learning independence in fkip students who live in a family environment and boarding environment. This research method uses a comparative quantitative method. Data collection instrument in this study uses the scale of independence, family environment and boarding environment. The population in this study was the 2017 SWCU FKIP students, with a sample of 175 students, the sampling technique used probability sampling techniques. Data analysis method used to test the research hypothesis using Independent Samples Test. The results of data analysis showed alpha sig (2-tailed) value of 0.709 or sig value. (2-tailed)> 0.05, which means that there is no difference in the 2017 SWCU FKIP student learning independence that lives in the family environment and boarding environment

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of group counseling with solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to improve self-confidence. This research used the experimental research method, namely: equivalent time-series design. This design applied for only one experimental group, using pretest and posttest. The subjects of the research were four female students and one male student in the first grade of Vocational High School Christian 1 of Surakarta.      The result of the research shows that the five subjects experienced change. After the research was tested with Wilcoxon test, the result showed that Z value is -2,121 with p-value (Asymp. Sig. 2 tailed) 0.034<0.05, so in here there is the probability above 0.05, it means there was enhancement between student’s confidence before the treatment (pretest) and after the treatment was given (posttest).     Thus, group counseling with solution-focused brief therapy is recommended for the school’s counselor and another researcher to use this research’s result as one of consideration to help improving self-confidence.

Abstract

This research was purposed to knowing (1) the implementation of green building on aspect natural lighting in Rumah Joglo terms of SNI 03-6197-2000; (2) the implementation of green building on aspect natural ventilation in Rumah Joglo terms SNI 03-6572-2001; (3) the implementation of green building in Rumah Joglo for development of teaching materials course Program and Planning Application in PTB FKIP UNS. This research was conducted by measuring the natural lighting, air velocity, relative huminidity, and air temperature in each room in the Rumah Joglo as well as the occupants questionnaire provide. The subjects were five Rumah Joglo. The result showed that 89,74% of natural lighting in the research subjects does not meet the requirements of SNI 03-6197-2000, 82,25% of air velocity does not meet the requirements of SNI 03-6572-2001, for relative huminidity and air temperature in the object of study does not meet the requirements of SNI 03-6572-2001.

Abstract

This research uses google classroom media as the essence of developing and utilizing non-printed audio teaching materials for digital high school physics learning. The purpose of this study are: (1) Describe the audio non-print media; (2) Describe the google classroom media; (3) Determine the level of interest from the use of google classroom media in the development and utilization of audio non-printed teaching materials. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative-based development method supported by quantitative data. In this study, a study was conducted that did not make a product design through this research, but only validated or tested the effectiveness, efficiency and practicality of existing products. Therefore, in this study, the effectiveness of Google Classroom in developing non-printed audio teaching materials was tested. The subjects of the study were 2018 physics education students at Siliwangi University, totaling 44 people and the object of this study was the google classroom media as the essence of physics learning in the digital age.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the misconceptions of students and reduce students' misconceptions by using the REACT model. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this study were students of Senior high School  Batik 1 Surakarta. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and interviews with students who were identified as experiencing misconceptions. The instrument used was a three-tier diagnostic test to determine student misconceptions and decrease student misconceptions. The results showed that there was a misconception of the students on the concept of redox reaction. Misconceptions occur in all concepts in the redox reaction concept material, with a mean of misconceptions that occur by 63.89% and 51.32%. After learning using the REACT model (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring), there was a decrease in the percentage of students' misconceptions
