Abstract

Kegiatan proses belajar di sekolah tentunya menjadi sorotan bagi kita untuk melihat hasil belajar peserta didik. Artinya, sekolah harus mampu menyediakan fasilitas ataupun sarana pembelajaran yang mendukung proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis kebutuhan guru dan peserta didik terhadap pengembangan LKPD berbasis STEM untuk melatih berpikir kritis materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang termasuk kedalam bagian penelitian research and development (R&D). Model yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang diantaranya meliputi tahapan define, design, develop, dan dissemination. Dalam penelitian ini tahapan yang digunakan adalah tahapan analisis kebutuhan, Data penelitian diambil dari populasi guru fisika dan peserta didik dari 3 sekolah SMA di Kota Bengkulu. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan instrumen lembar angket kebutuhan yang disebarkan secara langsung kepada guru fisika dan peserta didik SMA. Pada penelitian ini responden kuesioner terdiri dari 75 peserta didik dan 3 orang guru fisika dari 3 sekolah yang ada di Kota Bengkulu. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini ialah angket, dimana angket yang digunakan ialah angket analisis kebutuhan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa instrument yang digunakan valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian juga, menyebutkan bahwa peserta didik dari 3 sekolah SMA di Kota Bengkulu sangat setuju dengan pengembangan LKPD berbasis STEM untuk melatih berpikir kritis. Adapun fungsi dari penelitian ini sebagai need assessment yang berimplikasi terhadap pertimbangan dalam merancang LKPD berbasis STEM agar dapat memfasilitasi guru dan peserta didik dalam melatih berpikir kritis materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke. Learning process activities at school are certainly a highlight for us to see student learning outcomes. This means that schools must be able to provide learning facilities or facilities that support the learning process in schools. Therefore, this study was conducted to describe the results of the analysis of the needs of teachers and students towards the development of STEM-based Student Worksheets to train critical thinking of elasticity material and Hooke law. This method is descriptive research included in the research and development (R&D) section. The model used is a 4D model, which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and dissemination. In this study, the stage used was the stage of integrity analysis. The research data was taken from the population of physics teachers and students from 3 high schools in Bengkulu City. The data collection technique in this study used a needs questionnaire sheet instrument distributed directly to physics teachers and high school students. In this study, the questionnaire respondents comprised 75 students and three physics teachers from 3 schools in Bengkulu City. The instrument in this study is a questionnaire, where the questionnaire used is a questionnaire for analyzing student needs. The study's results stated that the instruments used were valid and reliable. The study's results also stated that students from 3 high schools in Bengkulu City strongly agreed with developing STEM-based Student Worksheets to train critical thinking. The function of this study as a need assessment has implications for considerations in designing STEM-based Student Worksheets to facilitate teachers and students in training critical thinking of elasticity material and Hooke law.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of e-learning in STEM-based physics instruction on students' communication abilities. This research is a continuation of development research using the Allesi and Trollip model, which three experts have validated to make STEM-based e-learning to improve students' communication skills feasibly. The pre-experimental pretest-posttest design was used in this study's methodology. Thirty-one students from class XI MIPA Senior High Schools made up the sample for this study. The instrument used is a communication skill observation sheet with three observers to compare the impact before-after intervention, this study employed SPSS 25 to conduct a t-test and n-Gain. The results of the t-test and n-gain calculations show that STEM-based physics learning e-learning can significantly improve students' communication skills with an average n-gain score of 0.62 in the medium category. The highest increase was in oral communication (n-gain: 0.74), and the lowest was in student presentation skills (n-gain: 0.51). Furthermore, given the value of the t-count<t-table is 29.75<1.70, the analysis utilizing the t-test yields H1 being accepted so that the developed e-learning can be used as a medium for learning physics in the revolutionary era 4.0 in order to be able to face the demands of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gambaran mengenai pemahaman konsep pada materi kinematika gerak lurus pada aspek interpretasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni menggunakan metode cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini yakni siswa SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu sebanyak 70 responden. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh siswa SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu dikategorikan sedang dalam menjawab soal pemahaman konsep aspek interpretasi khususnya pada materi kinematika gerak lurus dengan persentase rata-rata skornya 35,12%. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal pretest pilihan ganda dimana satu soal memiliki lima pilihan jawaban. Berdasarkan hasil test responden terdapat indikator yang ketiga yaitu menjelaskan ciri-ciri gerak jatuh bebas memiliki persentase tertinggi sebesar 45% dan indikator pertama yakni menjelaskan perbedaan gerak lurus dengan kecepatan konstan dan gerak lurus dengan percepatan konstan  memiliki persentase terendah sebesar 30%. Sehingga pemahaman konsep pada siswa SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu masih dikategorikan sedang. This study aims to analyze the understanding of straight motion kinematics in interpretation. The research method used is a cross-sectional method. This study's sample was SMAN 6 Bengkulu City students, with as many as 70 respondents. Based on the results obtained by students of SMAN 6 Bengkulu City, they are categorized as moderate in answering questions about understanding the concept of interpretation aspects, especially in straight-motion kinematics material, with an average percentage score of 35.12%. The instrument used is in the form of multiple choice pretest questions where one question has five answer choices. Based on the results of the respondent's test, there is a third indicator, namely explaining the characteristics of free fall motion, which has the highest percentage of 45% and the first indicator, which explains the difference between straight motion with constant speed and straight motion with constant acceleration, has the lowest percentage of 30%. So that the understanding of the concept in SMAN 6 Bengkulu City students is still categorized as moderate.

Abstract

Selama covid-19, kegiatan praktikum pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika di Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar menggunakan system blended yaitu sebagian unit percobaan dipraktikkan secara langsung di laboratorium dan sebagian lagi di virtual lab. Secara logika akan mengakibatkan menurunnya keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa, dimana sebelum covid-19, keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa dilatih dan ditingkatkan melalui kegiatan praktikum/pengamatan langsung. Menganalisis keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika untuk mata kuliah yang terintegrasi dengan kegiatan praktikum di masa Pandemi merupakan tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif merupakan jenis penelitian yang digunakan dengan penarikan sampel secara purposive sebanyak 51 mahasiswa semester 1, 3, dan 5 pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kinerja yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian yang diperoleh menghasilkan gambaran secara umum keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa dominan berada pada level rendah dengan frekuensi terbanyak yaitu 33 mahasiswa. Hasil Analisis untuk setiap indikator yaitu kategori sedang berada pada indikator klasifikasi dan interpretasi dengan nilai masing-masing 62,6 dan 57,4. Dan lima indikator lainnya berada pada kategori rendah yaitu memprediksi, menyusun hipotesis, mendesain percobaan, dan mengomunikasikan dengan nilai masing-masing 42,6; 40,9; 44,3; 32,2; dan 48,7. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa selama masa pandemi covid-19, keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki mahasiswa menurun. Implikasi dari penelitian ini merupakan dasar dalam pemilihan metode kegiatan praktikum khususnya yang berbasis virtual sehingga dapat berdampak positif pada peningkatan keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki mahasiswa. During covid-19, practicum activities at the Physics Education Study Program at the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar used a blended system. Some experimental units were practised directly in the laboratory and partly in a virtual lab. Logically, this will result in a decrease in the science process skills possessed by students, whereas before Covid-19, students' science process skills were trained and improved through practical activities/direct observations. Analyzing the science process skills of Physics Education Study Program students for courses integrated with practical activities during the Pandemic is the purpose of this research. Quantitative descriptive research is the type of research used by purposive sampling of 51 students in semesters 1, 3, and 5 in the Physics Education Study Program for 2019/2020 Academic Year Data were collected using a performance test instrument which was analyzed descriptively. The research obtained a general description of the dominant student's science process skills at a low level, with the highest frequency of 33 students. The analysis results for each indicator, namely the medium category, are in the classification and interpretation indicators with 62.6 and 57.4, respectively. Moreover, five other indicators are in a low category: predicting, formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, and communicating, with values of 42.6, 40.9, 44.3, 32.2, and 48.7, respectively. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that during the covid-19 pandemic, the science process skills possessed by students decreased. The implication of this research is the basis for choosing the method of practicum activities, especially those based on virtual, so that they can have a positive impact on increasing students' science process skills.

Abstract

Keterampilan pemecahan masalah menjadi tuntutan abad 21, namun masih banyak peserta didik yang belum terlatih untuk memecahkan masalah. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik SMP di Banjarmasin. Penelitian dilakukan sebagai studi awal dalam tahapan pertama model 4-D (Define) bersama 20 peserta didik SMP. Data didapatkan dari tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Hasil tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pada tahapan memahami masalah yaitu 21,06 dengan kategori kurang baik, membuat rencana dengan rata-rata 4,72 berkategori tidak baik, melaksanakan rencana dengan rata-rata 3,33 berkategori tidak baik dan mengecek kembali dengan rata-rata 4,17 berkategori tidak baik. Dengan demikian, peserta didik masih belum terampil dalam memecahkan masalah. Sehingga perlu adanya upaya dari guru dan sekolah untuk melatihkan peserta didik memecahkan masalah. Problem-solving skills are the demands of the 21st century, but many students still have not been trained to solve problems. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the problem-solving skills of junior high school students in Banjarmasin. The research was conducted as an initial study in the first stage of the 4-D model (Define) with 20 junior high school students. The data was obtained from the problem-solving skills test. The results of the problem-solving skills test show that the average at the stage of understanding the problem is 21.06 with a bad category, making plans with an average of 4.72 in the bad category, implementing plans with an average of 3.33 in the bad category and checking returned with an average of 4.17 in the bad category. Thus, students are still not skilled in solving problems. So there needs to be an effort from teachers and schools to train students to solve problems.

Abstract

Keterampilan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki untuk menghadapi tantangan abad 21. Keterampilan pemecahan masalah membutuhkan pemahaman konsep yang baik. Permasalahan sehari-hari terkait konsep fisika umumnya merupakan permasalahan pada topik kinematika. Permasalahan kinematika tidak hanya disajikan dalam bentuk deskripsi gerak tetapi juga dalam bentuk grafik. Kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dasar mekanika serta kesulitan memahami konsep vektor menyebabkan munculnya berbagai kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah kinematika yang direpresentasikan dalam bentuk grafik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survei. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pemahaman konsep kecepatan dan kelajuan mahasiswa menggunakan soal berbentuk grafik. Responden penelitan ini adalah 46 Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UMRAH. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua soal essai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesulitan dalam memahami konsep kecepatan dan kelajuan serta merepresentasikan kedua besaran dalam bentuk grafik. Kesulitan disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman konsep kecepatan dan kelajuan serta kurangnya pemahaman konsep vektor. Hal ini mengindikasikan pentingnya pembelajaran kinematika dengan penekanan pada pemahaman konsep melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran multirepresentasi. Problem-solving skills are one of the important skills that must be possessed to face the challenges of the 21st century. Problem-solving skills require conceptual understanding. Everyday problems related to physics concepts are generally problems in kinematics. Kinematics problems are not only presented in the form of motion descriptions but also graphical form. Difficulties in understanding the basic concepts of mechanics and the concept of vectors cause various difficulties in solving kinematics problems represented in graphical form. This research was descriptive research with a survey method. The purpose of this study was to test the students' conceptual understanding of velocity and speed using a graphical question. The respondents of this research were 46 Biology Education Students, FKIP UMRAH. The data collection used two essay questions. The results showed difficulties in understanding the concepts of velocity and speed and representing the two quantities in graphical form. A lack of conceptual understanding of velocity and speed and a lack of conceptual understanding of the vector caused difficulties. This indicates the importance of kinematics learning, emphasising understanding the concepts through implementing multi-representation learning strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas dan pengaruh penggunaan E-LKPD interaktif berbantuan Live Worksheets terhadap kemampuan berpikir kognitif Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah True Experimental Design dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Control-Group Design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dengan satu sampel sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu sampel sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kognitif HOTS sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran dengan 10 butir soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji N-gain, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji Independent Sample T-Test. Data nilai tes siswa setelah di uji N-gain menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan siswa setelah menggunakan E-LKPD interaktif Live Worksheets. Hasil uji N-gain pada kelas eksperimen termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan pada kelas kontrol termasuk kategori rendah. Data hasil tes siswa kemudian di uji normalitas dengan menggunakan One Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data nilai tes kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Kemudian dilakukan uji homogenitas menggunakan One Way Annova dengan hasil kedua data bersifat homogen. Selanjutnya, dilakukan uji-t dengan menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil uji Independent Sample T-Test menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan E-LKPD interaktif berbantuan Live Worksheets terhadap kemampuan berpikir kognitif Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) siswa. This research aims to examine the effectiveness and influence of interactive E-LKPD assisted by Live Worksheets on the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) ability of high school students. The research method used is a True Experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest Control-Group Design. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique with one sample as the experimental class and one as the control class. The data collection technique used the HOTS cognitive thinking ability test before and after learning with 10 reasoned multiple-choice questions. The data analysis technique used is the N-gain test, normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample T-Test test. The students' test score data after the N-gain test showed increased abilities after using the interactive E-LKPD Live Worksheets. The results of the N-gain test in the experimental class are in the medium category, and the control class is in the low category. The student's test result data was then tested for normality using the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test. The normality test results showed that the two classes' test scores were normally distributed. Then the homogeneity test was carried out using One Way Annova, with both data being homogeneous results. Next, a t-test was performed using the Independent Sample T-Test. The Independent Sample T-Test results show an effect of interactive E-LKPD assisted by Live Worksheets on students' Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) cognitive thinking abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk dan persepsi peserta didik. Model pengembangan yang digunakan merujuk pada ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation) yang mana pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan hanya pada tahap development yaitu validasi produk e-LKPD yang terdiri dari validasi ahli materi dan validasi ahli media dan persepsi peserta didik.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Kota Bengkulu, SMAN 4 Kota Bengkulu, dan SMAN 9 Kota Bengkulu. Objek penelitian ini adalah e-LKPD berbasis kontekstual berbantuan Livewoksheet untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis. Subjek uji validasi yaitu 2 dosen ahli dan 3 guru fisika sedangkan subjek uji persepsi yaitu 70 orang peserta didik dari ketiga sekolah yang diteliti. Data penelitian didapatkan dari hasil observasi sekolah, wawancara guru dan peserta didik, angket kebutuhan, validasi ahli dan persepsi peserta didik yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil validasi produk yaitu dari hasil validasi ahli materi didapatkan persentase rata-rata 94% dengan kategori sangat layak dan validasi ahli media dengan persentase rata-rata 92% dengan kategori sangat layak sedangkan hasil persepsi peserta didik diperoleh hasil persentase rata-rata 81% dengan kategori sangat baik. Maka dapat disimpulkan dari uji kelayakan e-LKPD berbasis kontekstual berbantuan Liveworksheet sangat layak dan sangat baik untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi gerak parabola. This research is research and development (R&D) to know the feasibility of the product and students' perceptions. The development model used refers to ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), which in this study was carried out only at the development stage, namely the validation of the e-LKPD product, which consisted of validation of material experts and validation of media experts and student perceptions. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Bengkulu City, SMAN 4 Bengkulu City, and SMAN 9 Bengkulu City. The object of this research is contextual-based e-LKPD assisted by live worksheets to practice critical thinking skills. The validation test subjects were two expert lecturers and three physics teachers, and the perception test subjects were 70 students from the three schools studied. The research data was obtained from the results of school observations, teacher and student interviews, needs questionnaires, expert validation, and student perceptions which were then analyzed descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively. Based on the results of product validation, namely from the results of material expert validation, an average percentage of 94% was obtained in the very feasible category and media expert validation with an average percentage of 92% in the very feasible category. At the same time, the results of student perceptions obtained an average percentage of 81% with a very good category. At the same time, the results of student perceptions obtained an average percentage of 81% with a very good category. So it can be concluded from the contextual-based e-LKPD feasibility test assisted by Liveworksheet that it is very feasible and very good for training critical thinking skills in parabolic motion material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan unit pembelajaran pemanasan global berbantuan augmented reality terintegrasi data cuaca untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan. Metode penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif  yang termasuk ke dalam penelitian research and development (R&D) dengan model penelitian ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation). Penelitian ini menggunakan tahap Analysis, bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan unit pembelajaran pemanasan global berbantuan augmented reality terintegrasi data cuaca. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar angket kebutuhan siswa dan lembar observasi. Bahan ajar yang akan dikembangkan yaitu unit pembelajaran yang dapat memuat teks, gambar serta video yang berkaitan dengan materi. Untuk menyajikan video pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi augmented reality serta materi didukung dengan data cuaca. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kebutuhan dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil analisis kebutuhan 35 siswa terdapat pembelajaran fisika sebesar 74% pada kategori setuju, indikator tampilan unit pembelajaran sebesar 69% pada kategori setuju, indikator atribut pendukung unit pembelajaran yaitu sebesar 79% pada kategori sangat setuju, indikator keterampilan yang akan dilatihkan sebesar 79% pada kategori sangat setuju. Hasil tersebut menunjukan perlunya dikembangkan bahan ajar berupa unit pembelajaran berbantuan augmented reality terintegrasi data cuaca pada materi pemanasan global untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. This research was conducted to analyze the need for developing a global warming learning unit assisted by integrated augmented reality weather data to improve solving skills. This research method includes descriptive research in research and development (R&D) research with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) research model. This study uses the Analysis stage to analyze the needs of global warming learning units assisted by integrated augmented reality weather data. Data collection instruments are in the form of questionnaire sheets for student needs and observation sheets. The teaching materials to be developed are learning units containing text, images and videos related to the material. To present learning videos using augmented reality applications and materials supported by weather data. Data collection techniques use needs questionnaires and observations. Data analysis techniques use quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis of the needs of 35 students contained physics learning by 74% in the agree-on category, the learning unit display indicator by 69% in the agree category, the supporting attribute indicator of the learning unit, which was 79% in the very agree category, the skill indicator to be trained by 79% in the very agree category. These results show the need to develop teaching materials as augmented reality-assisted learning units integrated with weather data on global warming materials to improve problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan analisis kebutuhan pengembangan modul materi suhu dan kalor berbasis etnosains (Batik Besurek) untuk siswa kelas XI MIPA di SMAN Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) model 4D dimodifikasi menjadi 3D (define, design, develop) karena terbatasnya waktu dan materi yang diperlukan dalam penelitian agar menyelesaikan penelitian ini hingga tahap uji keterbacaan produk. Penelitian ini merupakan tahap define dan menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara guru fisika serta angket kebutuhan siswa dan guru. Studi pendahuluan melibatkan 45 siswa dan 3 guru fisika di 3 SMAN Kota Bengkulu. Hasil angket kebutuhan guru menyatakan sebesar 100% guru belum melibatkan pembelajaran fisika dengan menghubungkan pengetahuan sains dan budaya lokal Bengkulu dan angket kebutuhan siswa juga menyatakan sebesar 89% guru mereka belum melibatkan pembelajaran fisika dengan budaya lokal Bengkulu. Berdasarkan hasil angket kebutuhan siswa dan guru juga dinyatakan bahwa 84% siswa menjawab “ya” yang termasuk kategori “sangat setuju” dan 100% guru menjawab “ya” dengan kategori “sangat setuju” apabila modul materi suhu dan kalor berbasis etnosains (Batik Besurek) ini dapat dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan diperlukan bahan ajar alternatif berupa modul fisika berbasis etnosains (Batik Besurek) materi suhu dan kalor untuk siswa kelas XI MIPA di SMAN Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan analisis kebutuhan pengembangan modul suhu dan kalor berintegrasi kearifan lokal, dikarenakan belum adanya pengembangan modul di tempat penelitian, sehingga dapat memotivasi pembelajaran siswa dan guru dalam mengenal kearifan lokal Bengkulu kegiatan membatik kain besurek. This study aims to describe the needs analysis for developing an ethnoscience-based heat and temperature material module (Batik Besurek) for class XI MIPA students at SMAN Bengkulu City. The 4D Research and Development (R&D) model was modified to 3D (define, design, develop) due to the limited time and material needed to complete this research up to the product legibility test stage. This research is a defined stage and uses descriptive data analysis techniques. The research instruments were interviews with physics teachers and questionnaires for the needs of students and teachers. The preliminary study involved 45 students and 3 physics teachers at 3 Bengkulu City High Schools. The results of the teacher need questionnaire stated that 100% of teachers had not been involved in physics learning by linking science knowledge and local Bengkulu culture. The student needs questionnaire also stated that 89% of their teachers had not been involved in physics learning with Bengkulu's local culture. Based on the results of the questionnaire on the needs of students and teachers, it was also stated that 84% of students answered "yes" which was included in the "strongly agree" category, and 100% of teachers answered "yes" in the " strongly agree" category if the material temperature and heat module is based on ethnoscience (Batik Besurek) it can be developed. The results of this study concluded that an alternative teaching material was needed in the form of an ethnoscience-based physics module (Batik Besurek) on temperature and heat for class XI MIPA students at SMAN Bengkulu City. This research implies an analysis of the need for the development of temperature and heat modules that integrate local wisdom due to the absence of module development at the research site so that it can motivate students and teachers to learn about Bengkulu local wisdom in the activity of making besurek cloth batik.
