Abstract

AbstrakUmumnya pembelajaran fisika sangat penting dilaksanakannya praktikum. Namun, pada proses pembelajaran tidak semua topik fisika dilakukannya praktikum seperti pada materi gaya gesek, salah satunya karena keterbatasan alat praktikum. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi saat ini, alat praktikum banyak dikembangkan secara digital. Salah satu perangkat pengembangan alat yang cukup efektif yaitu arduino uno yang memiliki banyak kelebihan. Berbantuan dengan sensor photogate dapat mengukur waktu dan percepatan yang dapat menjadi alat praktikum gaya gesek yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Nieveen et.al. (2006) dengan beberapa langkah yang digunakan yaitu (1) Preliminary research, (2) Prototyping stage, dan (3) Assesment stage (summative evaluation). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil R pada uji kalibrasi di setiap sudutnya yaitu <1. Selain itu, nilai error rata-rata pada semua sudut yaitu bernilai <1%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat, sehingga tingkat ketelitian rancang bangun alat praktikum gaya gesek sangat valid.AbstractIn general, the practicum is very substantial to implement in learning physics. However, in the learning process, not all topics of physic need practicum, the friction force material, for instance, due to the limitations of practical tools. Along with the development of today's technology, many practicum tools developed digitally. One device development tool that is quite effective is the Arduino Uno which has many advantages.With the help of the Photogate sensor, it can measure time and acceleration that can be a more effective and efficient friction force practicum tool. This study uses the research method of Nieveenet.al. (2006) in several phases, namely (1) preliminary research, (2) prototyping stage, and (3) assessment stage (summative evaluation).The results of this study signify that the outcome of R on the calibration test at every angle is <1. In addition, the average error value at all angles is <1%. This case shows that it has a powerful relationship hence the level of accuracy in the design of the friction force practicum tool is very valid.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah peran EDP dalam proses berpikir engineer siswa melalui LKS sebagai bahan ajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus tunggal. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Uji kredibilitas menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan member check. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan profil berpikir engineer masing-masing siswa berbeda-beda. Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan siswa dapat memberikan pemecahan masalah hingga memberikan desain solusi pada sintaks EDP. Siswa memberikan pemecahan masalah terjadi dalam sintaks EDP pada ruang lingkup masalah yaitu tahap define, dan learn. Sedangkan pada tahap plan, try, test, dan decide siswa dapat menghasilkan ide yang digunakan sebagai solusi pemecahan masalah berupa desain rekayasa dengan memberikan penjelasan yang jelas bagaimana solusi tersebut dapat bekerja optimal untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: LKS, EDP, berpikir engineerAbstract. This study aims to determine how the role of EDP in the thinking process students engineers through student worksheets as teaching materials. This type of research is qualitative using a single case study method. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Test using triangulation technique and member check. The results of this study show that each students engineering thinking profile is different. The data obtained shows that students can solve problems to provide design solutions to the EDP syntax. Students provide solutions to problems that occur in the EDP syntax in the scope of the problem, namely the definition and learn stages. While at the stage of the plan, try, test, and decide students can generate ideas that are used as problem-solving solutions in the form of engineering designs by providing a clear explanation of how the solution can work optimally for use.Keywords: LKS, EDP, think engineer

Abstract

One of the uses of multimedia is to explain abstract concepts that cannot be directly observed by the five senses to be more easily understood, especially related to the concept of nuclear reactions in nuclear physics courses. This research aimed to get an overview of the mastery of the concept of nuclear reactions in students who take core physics courses and get an overview of the responses of students' perceptions of learning. The method of this research was experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used in this research include the mastery test, student response questionnaire, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis of student response questionnaires about multimedia-assisted nuclear physics learning process and analysis of mastery test results of the concept of nuclear reactions in nuclear physics courses using Ngain scores. The results showed that there was an increase in mastery of the nuclear reaction concept in nuclear physics subject with score of n-gain result was 0.41 and came into medium category. The ability to master concepts includes the ability to remember, understand, apply, analyze and evaluate. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the use of multimedia can increase students’ mastery concepts of nuclear reactions concept in nuclear physics courses.

Abstract

Sugarcane is one of the plantation products in the Jember area. Therefore, the processing of sugar cane as renewable energy can be used as a source of learning. The purpose of this research was to describe and analyze student responses profile by using teaching materials about the utilization of sugarcane processing as renewable energy in physics learning. This research method was descriptive research. The research respondents were 30 students who took integrated science course in odd semester 2016/2017 at the Physics Education Study Program, University of Jember. Data collection techniques using student response questionnaires, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use percentages. The results of this research indicate that student responses to the use of teaching materials about the utilization of sugarcane processing as renewable energy in physics learning amounted to 83,87% with a very positive category. Based on the analysis, it can be seen that students gave a very positive response using teaching materials about sugarcane processing as renewable energy in physics learning. Thus, the using of teaching materials about sugarcane processing as renewable energy can improve student learning motivation, mastery of concepts, scientific attitudes and environmental awareness.

Abstract

Cooperative learning is a learning model that involves students to be able to actively participate in the learning process through the formation of small groups. One type of cooperative learning model is the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. This study aimed to determine the effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model on physics learning outcomes of grade X students at SMK 5 Jember. This research is included in experimental research. The research design used was a post test only design. Data analysis technique used independent sample t-test (parametric test) and one way anova. The results showed that the significant value of the independent sample t-test was 0,000 (α<0,05) which means that the average physics scores of the experimental class students were greater than control class students. Thus, the STAD type cooperative learning model has a significant effect on learning outcomes in physics at SMK 5 Jember. Kata Kunci: cooperative learning; learning outcomes; STAD

Abstract

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, teachers were be required to do online learning. Students have difficulty understanding the material provided in the online learning process, so this research aims to produce PowerPoint animation-based learning media and the effectiveness of using PowerPoint animation learning media. The research method used was Research & Development with the ADDIE research design. The research subjects consisted of 32 students of class XI MIPA 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Tanggul. From the validation provided by 2 media experts, validator and user validators (teachers), the PowerPoint animation media was declared incredibly valid with an average confirmation of 3,94. The effectiveness of PowerPoint animation media on student learning outcomes after using the PowerPoint animation learning media states that student learning outcomes increase. The increase in student learning outcomes (n-gain) was 70.69 using the average category of media effectiveness analysis. The study results stated that the PowerPoint animation learning media is feasible to apply in the learning process. Using PowerPoint animation learning media can improve student learning outcomes on heat material.

Abstract

Indonesian cultures are starting to fade due to technological developments. One of the solutions is by introducing Indonesian cultures to students at school. This research aimed to generate an effective and valid traditional culture-based interactive learning media, therefore it can be used in learning physics. The learning media that was developed by the researcher was an interactive learning media on the parabolic motion subject with 3-dimensional animation of Patil Lele's traditional game. This research was development research with the Thiagarajan model, which has been modified into 3D (Define, Design, and Develop). The data were collected by using an expert validation sheet and a student test. The results showed that the learning media was valid and effective, with an average percentage of the validator's assessment 90.8% and the percentage of student learning completeness 82.35%. Referring to the analysis results that has been carried out on the media that was developed, it was included as a valid and effective category for use, therefore the learning media product is able to be used in learning physics.

Abstract

Pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif Macromedia Flash 8 Pokok Bahasan Interferensi pada Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat belajar mahasiswa pendidikan fisika dan bagaimana respon mahasiswa terkait pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif macromedia flash 8 pokok bahasan interferensi pada mahasiswa pendidikan fisika.  Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development ,R&D) dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu analisis (Analysis), desain (Design), pengembangan (Development), implementasi (Implementation), dan evaluasi (Evaluation). Media pembelajaran ini dibuat dengan menggunakan softaware macromedia flash 8. Uji coba produk yang berupa media pembelajaran dilakukan kepada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Jember yaitu pada mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Fisika Dasar 3 pada tahun ajaran 2020 – 2021. Untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa fisika terhadap media pembelajaran uji coba dilakukan dan untuk mengetahui respon tersebut maka digunakan kusioner berupa angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data respon mahasiswa terhadap media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki nilai presentase sebesar 81,64 % dalam kategori baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran mempunyai respon positif pada saat digunakan oleh mahasiswa fisika.

Abstract

Abstrak. Keterampilan menulis ilmiah dalam penyusunan laporan praktikum merupakan salah satu cakupan yang diperhatikan dalam penilaian pembuatan sebuah laporan. Pembuatan laporan bertujuan untuk menguraikan hasil dari pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa pada saat melakukan percobaan dengan membandingkan teori yang sudah ada, kemudian membuat kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil percobaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis ilmiah (scientific writing skills) pada praktikum kelistrikan mahasiswa pendidikan fisika angkatan 2019 Universitas Jember dalam menyusun laporan praktikum fisika dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan instrumen berupa rubrik penilaian hasil laporan sesuai dengan indikator keterampilan menulis ilmiah. Hasil analisis scientific writing skills mahasiswa pada praktikum fisika kelistrikan tergolong baik.Kata kunci: scientific writing skills, laporan praktikum, kelistrikan.

Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan tidak terlepas dari perkembangan teknologi. Perkembangan teknologi dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar yang inovatif dan menyenangkan bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas video dan respon mahasiswa terhadap pengunaan video pembelajaran tentang pemanfaatan pengolahan kakao pada pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Responden penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Fisika Dasar III pada semester gasal 2019/2020. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket respon mahasiswa, lembar validasi, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan prosentase dari skala likert yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi video pembelajaran tentang pemanfaatan pengolahan kakao pada validasi konten sebesar 87%, komponen bahasa sebesar 82% dan komponen desain dan tampilan sebesar 80%, serta keefektifan media video sebesar 83%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan berada dalam kategori valid dan layak digunakan. Hasil angket respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan video pembelajaran tentang pengolahan kakao menunjukkan bahwa respon mahasiswa sangat positif, pada aspek ketertarikan terhadap video pengolahan kakao sebesar 81,46%, aspek penguasaan konsep 83,30%, aspek sikap ilmiah 83,88% dan aspek kesadaran lingkungan 81,91%. Dengan demikian, penggunaan video pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal tentang pemanfaatan pengolahan kakao dapat dijadikan alternatif sumber belajar berbasis teknologi dalam pembelajaran fisika.Katakunci: pengolahan kakao, respon mahasiswa, video pembelajaran
