Abstract

With 3.3 billion population worldwide is employed, several occupational disease (OD) and injuries ensued. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) is one among many ODs that hold high percentages among workers, and low back pain (LBP) raises as the main type of commonly found MSDs. This study aimed to investigates the relationship between the ergonomic risk factors and LBP complaints among home tailors at Desa Tembok Kidul Kecamatan Adiwerna Kabupaten Tegal, one of the host of home-tailors basis in Central Java. This descriptive correlative study using a cross sectional approach employed 139 home tailors as sample, selected with simple random sampling technique. A set of questionnaire was used and grouped into 3 part mainly measured the participants’ characteristics, ergonomic risk factors, and lastly LBP complaints. Validity and Reliability procedures proved the main two questionnaires were valid and reliable to use. With the main participants being a female (64,7%), most of them were coming from the young adults (64%), elementary school graduates (35,5%), the results of this study showed that there is no significant association between ergonomic risk factors and LBP complaints (p=1,000; α =0,05). However, this study emphasized that tailors with low ergonomic risk factors were less likely to have complaints of LBP than tailors with high ergonomic risk factors. Some possible ergonomic factors that goes along the growing number of LBP complaints are age, gender, and working duration. This study suggests to focus on one specific type of ergonomic risk factors to work with, while preventive measure on ergonomic-friendly working environment is advocated to alleviate the risk of OD.

Abstract

Amputation of the lower extremities not only causes physical loss and psychological disturbance but also leads to discomfort and continuous pain sensation. Virtual reality is one of the promising alternatives as a non-pharmacological intervention in reducing pain. This method provides an experience in virtual activity that can distract patients from pain and increase relaxation. The purpose of this writing is to help identify the effectiveness of virtual reality in reducing post-amputation pain in the lower extremities. The method used in this article is a literature review method. Article searches were conducted on Scopus, Sage, Google Scholar, and ProQuest websites by entering the keywords "virtual reality pain amputation lower extremity". There were 10 articles used after being selected using these keywords. Virtual reality shows the potential effectiveness in reducing pain and improving functional outcomes in patients with lower extremity amputations. Virtual reality training oriented towards tasks also focuses on improving motor function and reducing avoidance behavior by providing a safe and controlled environment for individuals to practice and gradually increase their mobility.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the leading causes of morbidity around the world. Between 1990 and 2019, the number of people with hypertension doubled, rising from 650 million to 1.3 billion. Hypertension is defined as high blood pressure with a systolic pressure higher than 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure higher than 90 mmHg on both measurements taken at a five-minute interval during a period of sufficient rest or calm. Stress is the leading cause of hypertension because it increases cortisol output by the adrenal glands, which leads to hypertension. This study is a literature review which includes completing a journal review applying comparative research methods. The results indicate that there is a link. Cortisol levels and stress levels are linked in hypertensive patients because when stressed, the body releases more stress hormones (adrenaline and cortisol), which activates the Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone System (RAAS), causing blood pressure increase..

Abstract

The still-growing of e-health integration in Depok City's hypertension prevention and control initiatives is at odds with the city's development goal for 2021–2026, which calls for the creation of contemporary public services and the development of technology–based infrastructure. This study aims to identify the digital health literacy in hypertensive clients in Depok City. With the greatest estimated population of hypertensive clients in Depok City, the research approach is a descriptive study using the I-eHEALS questionnaire with cluster sampling technique on hypertensive clients in five urban villages, with up to 100 samples. The findings revealed that most Depok City's hypertensive clients were young adults (64%), female (72%), with a secondary education level of 59% (junior high school, high school, or equivalent), and 25% of them used YouTube as a source of digital health information. Furthermore, it is also reported that hypertensive clients in Depok City have a digital health literacy level of 26. The study's findings indicate that hypertensive clients in Depok City tend to be more digitally literate when they are young adults, female, have higher levels of education, and use online health applications as a source of information about digital health. However, these clients still struggle to assess, evaluate, and feel confident when using digital health information. The researcher suggests fostering digital health literacy and creating digital health resources with an emphasis on hypertension patients' self-care management.
