Abstract

The tradition of Hindus in Pujodadi Village, Pesawaran District, Lampung, the Reboan tradition is an important part of respecting their ancestors. For Hindus, the tradition of Reboan is not only carried out on certain counts which are usually carried out to honor ancestors by the general public, after a thousand days ancestral worship is still carried out. There are two identifications that formulate the problem in this study, namely the meaning of the Reboan tradition as the Pitra Puja Ceremony on the Javanese Hindu Society in Lampung and the implications of the Reboan tradition as the Pitra Puja Ceremony on the Javanese Hindu Society in Lampung. The thesis research method uses a type of qualitative descriptive research method with a phenomenological approach and data collection from the results of interviews, documentation, and observation, then the authors analyze the data with analysis in the field then do data reduction, data presentation, and finally the conclusion. The results of the study show that the meaning of the Reboan Tradition is an activity carried out to strengthen the kinship among Hindus in Pujodadi Lampung Village to improve Sraddha and Bhakti through the pitra puja ceremony. The implications of the Reboan Tradition for Javanese Hindus in Pujodadi in the socio-religious aspects show a better understanding of Sraddha and Bhakti. In the social aspect, the interaction between Javanese Hindus in Pujodadi is getting better which is shown by the increasing sense of kinship among the people.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian terhadap konstruksi soliditas sosial antarumat Hindu dengan umat Islam melalui pawai ogoh-ogoh di Kecamatan Tanjung, Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Fokus kajian dalam penelitian ini ada tiga, yaitu bentuk, proses, dan makna konstruksi soliditas sosial antarumat Hindu dengan umat Islam dalam pawai ogoh-ogoh di Kecamatan Tanjung, Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan memberikan deskripsi terhadap fenomena yang berkaitan dengan fokus penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh tiga temuan penelitian. Pertama, bentuk konstruksi soliditas sosial antarumat Hindu dengan umat Islam dalam pawai ogoh-ogoh, yaitu (1) pawai ogoh-ogoh umat Hindu mendapatkan perhatian dari masyarakat pemeluk agama lainnya; (2) mereka yang berperan serta dalam pawai ogoh-ogoh tersebut menjalin interaksi sosial; (3) terbangunnya toleransi dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ritual keagamaan; (4) kesadaran dalam memberikan ruang atraksi budaya kelompok etnis yang berbeda. Kedua, proses konstruksi soliditas sosial yang dalam pawai ogoh-ogoh memiliki landasan yang kuat, seperti (1) adanya kesadaran untuk saling menghormati dalam pelaksanaan hari besar keagamaan; (2) partisipasi umat lain dalam memeriahkan pawai ogoh-ogoh; (3) adanya kesadaran akan pentingnya nilai-nilai kesatuan di kalangan mereka. Ketiga, makna yang tersirat dalam pawai ogoh-ogoh berupa makna sosial, makna religius, dan makna kultural.

Abstract

Agastya Parwa is an old Javanese manuscript in the form of prose and old age (Century IX-XI M). The text of Agastya Parwa is in fact closely related to the name Bhagawān Agastya as a Maha Ṛṣi Hindu who contributed to the spread of Hinduism from the Sindhu river valley to all of India, Central Asia, China, Japan and Indonesia. The text of Agastya Parwa is used as a source in yajña, this means the text belongs to the ceremonial group, but there is also a saying that this text belongs to the ethical group because this text contains the teachings of ethics, especially the doctrine of swadharma from a paṇḍita

Abstract

Paradigma mengajar lebih berfokus pada peran pendidik dalam mengubah pengetahuan menjadi pergeseran peserta didik dalam paradigma belajar yang memberi peran lebih kepada peserta didik untuk mengembangkan potensi dan kreativitas mereka sendiri untuk membentuk manusia yang memiliki kekuatan spiritual spiritual, karakter yang mulia, kepribadian , kecerdasan, estetika, sehat jasmani dan rohani, dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk diri, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Proses budaya dan pemberdayaan berlangsung sepanjang hidup, di mana dalam proses itu harus ada pendidik yang memberikan keteladanan dan mampu membangun kemauan, serta mengembangkan potensi dan kreativitas peserta didik. Prinsip tersebut menyebabkan pergeseran paradigma dalam proses pendidikan, dari paradigma mengajar ke paradigma pembelajaran. Pendidikan adalah proses budaya dan pemberdayaan manusia yang berkembang menjadi kepribadian mandiri untuk dapat membangun diri dan masyarakat.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the performance of educator certified Hinduism teachers at the junior high schools in Tabanan Regency. This research is descriptive research. The population of this study were all educator certified Hinduism teachers at the junior high schools in Tabanan Regency. Sampling was done by using saturated sampling technique. The research instrument that used was a teacher performance sheet questionnaire consisting of 33 (thirty three) items. The instrument has been tested for validity and reliability before use. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the reaserch indicate that: 1) the performance of educator certified Hinduism teachers at the junior high schools in Tabanan Regency is high with an average score of 72.00 and 2) as many as 2.16% of Hinduism teachers have very high performance; 82.61% are in the high criteria and 15.21% are in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Putru Pasaji keeps a wealth of knowledge and wisdom of the archipelago's ancestors, especially regarding Hindu eschatology. The eschatological discourse in this text interrelates with other discourses, including morality. The construction of moral discourse in Putru Pasaji is studied using discourse theory with a constructivist approach. Moral discourse has an important position in Putru Pasaji because it is related to the pitara's life after death. Heaven and hell are determined by the results of the actions and the moral quality of the pitara during his lifetime. The moral teachings in Shiva-Buddha construct moral discourse in its eschatological interrelations in a holistic and integral manner

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian terhadap tradisi pembuatan komoh dalam acara megibung yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Hindu serangkaian upacara maprani di Dusun Tanah Embet, Lombok Barat. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam jenis deskriptif interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menemukan tiga temuan penting. Pertama, bentuk tradisi pembuatan komoh pada acara megibung masyarakat Hindu di Dusun Tanah Embet, Desa Batulayar, Kecamatan Batulayar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat ada dua yaitu komoh matah/komoh kentel dan komoh lebeng/komoh gobag. Kedua, proses pembuatan komoh pada acara megibung masyarakat Hindu dilakukan melalui sejumlah tahapan, seperti darah babi yang dikumpulkan dalam satu tempat yang mulai membeku diencerkan dengan menggunakan daun sereh. Hati babi dipanggang, hati babi yang berwarna merah dipanggang dengan menggunakan sabut kelapa atau tempurung kelapa/langas, menyiapkan bumbu rajang, bumbu rajang digunakan sebagai bumbu komoh matah/komoh kentel. Mencampur bahan-bahan darah babi, hati yang sudah diiris, bumbu rajang dalam satu tempat. Ketiga, makna tradisi pembuatan komoh pada acara megibung masyarakat Hindu di lokasi penelitian adalah warna merah pada komoh melambangkan Dewa Brahma dan simbol kekuatan dalam melaksanakan segala aktivitas dalam bermasyarakat.

Abstract

This study explores the numerous problems that come up from teachers of Islamic Religious Education in public schools. Learning in fiqh is learning based on an interpretation of a topic that comes from the al-Qur'an and al-Hadith. As it is understood that each individual or group 's understanding has to be different, it all depends on the point of view or how to interpret the various problems that occur in learning fiqh. Particularly in public school learning which has different nuances from madrasah and Islamic boarding schools. Every educational institution, under the auspices of Islamic mass organisations and public schools, has different problems. Thus, this study explores what are the issues with public schools studying jurisprudence. The aim of this study was to recognize the different problems faced by educational institutions, in this case fiqh learning in public schools. The approach used in this analysis is a qualitative method by evaluating the fiqh learning difficulties that arise in public schools, both through the perspective of the teachers themselves and the students.

Abstract

This paper contains the Theology of Worship of Dewa Gede Celak Kontong in Kayuputih Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. This worship is carried out through a medium in the form of Lingga Yoni. The worship of Dewa Gede Celak Kontong in Kayuputih Village has a very important role, especially related to agriculture. Various activities of the Kayuputih Village community related to agriculture are always preceded by the implementation of the worship of Dewa Gede Celak Kontong. The worship was carried out in the hope that the residents' agriculture would be free from all kinds of diseases. Dewa Gede Celak Kontong in Kayuputih Village is worshiped as the God of Fertility, Dewa Gede Celak Kontong in Kayuputih Village is worshiped as the God of Fertility, besides that Dewa Gede Celak Kontong is also believed to be a symbol of safety, birth, human health, and is believed to be a power that provides healing and protection from interference by supernatural beings or from black magic powers. The theology of worship of Dewa Gede Celak Kontong in Kayuputih Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency was studied using qualitative descriptive research methods. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation or direct observation, Interview method, and document study. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data classification, data display, and conclusion drawing.

Abstract

The meaning and cultural value ​​associated with Balinese local wisdom in the field of rice fields are related to agricultural ritual activities in the field of rice fields. The problem discussed in this study is how the reflection of cultural values ​​in relation between religious ceremonies and the agricultural lexicon in the fields of traditional farming communities in Bali, which include: the meaning of rituals during pre-rice planting, rice planting period, and post-rice planting.This study aimed to obtain complete description of the ritual meaning of the pre-rice planting, rice planting period, and post-rice planting . The theory which is used as the basis for the discussion process is ecolinguistic theory. In collecting data the methods of observation, interview and questionnaire are used. This method is supported by note taking, recording, and documentation. In data analysis quantitative and qualitative methods are used. In presenting the results of data analysis used formal and informal methods, delivered with inductive and deductive techniques. Based on data analysis, the results of the agricultural lexicon of rice fields included three stages, namely (1) pre-planting, such as: mapag toya 'fetching water', marekang toya 'obtained water', ngendagin ‘start working in the fields’, and ngurit ‘sowing’; (2) planting period, including: pangawiwit ‘a place to start’, and nandur 'planting rice'; (3) the post-planting period, including: mubuhin 'offering porridge', mabahin 'fruit bearing rice', ngiseh / biyakukung 'pregnant rice', ngulapin 'cleaning', neduh, penulak paksi ‘bird repellent’, penulak bikul ‘rat repellent’, penulak walang sangit ‘repellent riceear bug’, candang, lanas, and mati muncuk ‘the tip of the rice leaf found dead’, ngusaba, nyangket ‘cutting rice’, magurupiduka ‘beg for forgiveness’, and mantenin ‘presenting offerings’.
