Abstract

This article is the result of a review of academic culture which according to some research is still not good, even experienced by 10 major universities in Indonesia. Although the regulations governing academic culture already exist but it is difficult to be realized let alone in a hurry. There are many factors that affect academic culture not yet ideal. In general, what has happened in Indonesia has influenced academic culture on campus, such as low reading level and poor book availability. This is an external factor that determines internally the civitas academica. Culture of reading, writing and discussion is still not developed when this activity can be a habitus that if continuously disseminated will become a habit and culture. To read academic culture, this article is inspired by Abraham Maslow's opinion of needs and motivations while the concept of habitus, arena and capital is inspired by Pierre Bourdieu.

Abstract

The relationship that exists between parents and children should be based on the principle of mutual respect and compassion. If parents always prioritize a personal approach with the outpouring of affection, then will form a great confidence in the child. The child will be open to his / her parents so that any problems can be searched for the key of the settlement. In addition, parents are more likely to give direction and counsel and to abandon coercion and intimidation. The child's behavior will gradually form towards a good personality. A strong push constantly is expected from parents. The figure of a democratic parent does not prioritize his personal interests, but still appreciates and cares for the child's interests as an individual among the human community. In other words, parents always see the common interest as a barrier to the freedom of this person. The background of parenting found by a child is certainly very influential on further developments, because the things that he finds from the parenting pattern of his parents will be a provision of his attitude and behavior in his life someday. The family has a very important role in developing the child's personal. The loving care of parents and education about the religious and socio-cultural values it provides is a conducive factor for preparing children to be private and healthy members of society that reflect the character of the Nation.

Abstract

Multiculturalism and pluralism of Indonesian society are shown by their uniquecommunity structure, because they vary in various ways. The influence of Indonesian society’splurality based on religion, race and ethnicity can be divided into positive and negative influences.Idioms that must be more remembered and used as policy bases should be based on the conceptof Unity in Diversity. It means, even if one is in one unit, it must not be forgotten, that in fact thisnation is different in one plurality. Thus, diversity is a color in life, and these colors will beharmonious, beautiful if there is an awareness to always create and like harmony in life throughbeautiful unity which is realized through integrase. Negative influence, the emergence of excessiveprimordialism (primordialism) which colors social interaction so that disintegration or socialconflict arises. The cause of conflict between religious communities due to a lack of solidarityand tolerance in dealing with existing differences. As explained in the previous discussion. Andhow to deal with it by fostering an open attitude between the differences that exist but must stillhold fast to each other’s faith and beliefs. Keywords: Empirical Study, Religious of Idealism, Cultural, Pancasila

Abstract

Adoption of technology has brought many problems in social life. But the need for technologycan not be postponed because its function as a plane that facilitates the handling ofhuman affairs more difficult to abandon. As a result a variety of access appears. The ease thattechnology offers has an effect on the user’s mentality. Technological users are not only happyto take quick (instant) ways, but also often fall into thoughts that degrade the values of humanityitself. The neglect of human values is not only practical, but it is found in academic life.Let’s look at a moment of education in Japan which is considered a model of the country that isable to reach modernization rapidly and creatively but still maintain strong tradition and thevalues contained in it. They are a nation that is rooted in the traditions (cultural up root).Japanese tradition is experiencing various changes but the Japanese spirit does not fade in it. Ifthe Indonesian people want to follow the example of Japan, education in Indonesia is the time tomove from practice education and do not expect to catch up from other countries if educationproblems have not been addressed. When there is an international school discourse, we shouldfavor local wisdom to gain international recognition, instead of importing foreign cultures.Local wisdom of Balinese people is very important to be studied and applied in the life ofsociety. Therefore, the noble values that exist in Balinese culture are appropriate in adaptationand integrated in the implementation of education, both formal and non-formal education. Moreoverformal education, local wisdom is very well adapted and integrated in learning. localwisdom from Bali is very important and well included in formal education at all levels of education. Keywords: Character Education, Based, Local Wisdom
