Abstract

The function of governor is to regulate the speed of an engine when there are variation in the load. When the load on an engine increases, its speed decreases, therefore it is necessary to increase the supply of working fluid & vice-versa. Thus, Governor automatically controls the speed under varying load. The centrifugal governors are based on the balancing of centrifugal force on the rotating balls for an equal and opposite radial force, known as the controlling force. It consist of sum balls of equal mass, which are attached to the arms as shown in fig. when the load on the engine increases, the engine and the governor speed decreases. This results in the decrease of centrifugal force on the balls. Hence the ball moves inward & sleeve moves downwards. The downward movement of sleeve operates a throttle valve at the other end of the bell rank lever to increase the supply of working fluid and thus the speed of engine is increased. In this case the extra power output is provided to balance the increased load.When the load on the engine decreases, the engine and governor speed increased, which results in the increase of centrifugal force on the balls. Thus the ball move outwards and sleeve rises upwards. This upward movement of sleeve reduces the supply of the working fluid and hence the speed is decreased. In this case power output is reduced.Keywords: Governor

Abstract

The growth rate of four-wheeled vehicles in particular increased significantly each year. This is supported by several aspects of which increase people's purchasing power, the rate of population mobility is increasing, and they still lack the means of public transport that is safe, convenient and timely. Since 2015 the government has been operating new Toll Road from Cikampek to Palimanan (CIPALI) which aims to reduce number of congestion on the northern coast line, especially in the holiday season of Eid. This study aimed to analyze the level of safety Cipali toll road using a Road Hazard Mapping (RHM). The method used is a combination of direct observation data collection and analysis via Google Maps. The results of the study obtained a draft RHM which can be used as a reference for the driver before entering the Cipali toll both from Cikampek to Palimanan and vice versa.Keywords: safety driving, cipali, road hazard mapping (RHM)

Abstract

The decision making process in determining the right to receive the scholarship are often subjective, where there are some university students who have the ability or value that is not so different. so needed it is presence the systems that support decision making that can be used to simplify the determination of who is entitled to receive a scholarship. This system is supported by Tsukamoto fuzzy logic method that is based on the data and rules of human resources with the criteria set by the group of people. The result of this process is given to university students who are in decision-making on the basis of the acceptance of the scholarship. This software is made by using a MySQL database and IDE netbeans programme language as an instrument by which this application can help in the decision making process scholarship acceptance quickly and accurately.Keywords: Decision Making System, Scholarship, and Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic.

Abstract

Hydraulic press is a tool to install bearing which difficult to be installed manually. It also used to squeeze the soft breaker. The purpose of designing this hydraulic press is designing a hydraulic press with 15 tons maximum pressure. This tool use pressure power which able to entering the bearing and pressing soft breaker. The source of pressure is from Hydraulic Jack / Jack Hydraulic jack which 15 tons maximum pressure. The basic principle of this hydraulic jack is using the Pascal principal law. This principle can calculate the power of jack which used. This jack is needed for construction in accordance with the results of their designs. Construction tools hydraulic press using the construction as simple as possible. This construction is made in order to suitable with the necessary. Calculations which seek is bolts power, lock pen power, deflection of a to spring and the Pascal law. From the following calculation above is resulting hydraulic press which has 15 tons maximum pressure and the construction able to withstand a load up to 16 tons.Keywords: tools, hydraulic, principles, construction, style.

Abstract

Kalkulus merupakan salah satu matakuliah yang mempunyai peranan yang penting dalam menyelesaikan masalah teknik. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa Teknik Universitas Majalengka perlu menguasai kalkulus khususnya integral tentu sebagai bekal untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang berhubungan dengan bidang keteknikan. Namun demikian, kenyataan menunjukkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep integral serta menggunakannnya dalam memecahkan masalah masih rendah. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Scaffolding. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang integral. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi teknik informatika semester II tahun akademik 2015/2016 Universitas Majalengka. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan memecahkan masalah, lembar pengamatan aktivitas dosen, lembar pengamatan aktivitas mahasiswa, dan angket respon mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Kata Kunci: Scaffolding, Integral, PTK

Abstract

Pump CWP (Circulating Water Pump) serve to provide water for the condenser is also for the makeup water tank. CWP structure consists of a suction bell, impeller chamber and impeller, diffuser, discharge elbow, lower the main shaft and the main upper shaft, electric motor. Cooler motors wrapped around the walls of the pump motor CWP. Cooler tube has a diameter of 14 mm and a thickness of 1 mm. In November 2011 there has been damage to the engine water pump. Date March 15, 2013 experienced the same case, the damage occurred in the pump cooler pump motor CWP bottom (lower shaft CWP 6). Cooler winding temperature at around 35-75 o C. This section serves to cool the temperature of the pump motor. Cooler pump motor is made of copper-type C12250, included in a group of pure copper. The study was conducted to determine the causes and mechanisms of failure in elbow cooler. To find out more about the causes of the failure of this material then, an analysis of the failure of the observations in the form of macro, micro observations (metallographi), testing of SEM-EDAX, XRD testing, as well as simulating fluent. Based on the results of testing that was done failures in the cooler tube elbow caused by corrosion-erosion and cavitation. The mechanism of erosion-corrosion due to the combination of high flow rates and corrosive fluids. At high flow rates physically corrosive fluids clicking eliminate erosion and corrosion protection layer thus opening reactive metal underneath. Suspended slurries strengthen and accelerate corrosion-erosion (Accelerate corrosion-erosion attack).Key Word : Cooler, coorosion-erosion, elbow tube cooler.

Abstract

Perancangan visualisasi pemanfaatan metode pengendalian meteorologi dan geofisika sebagai media pembelajaran materi geografi merupakan sistem informasi penggambaran menggunakan media visualisasi tentang suatu proses kejadian alam dan teknologi yang bekerja pada kantor BMKG. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan tentang pelajaran materi geografi pada siswa kelas X tingkat sekolah menengah atas. Visualisasi ini digunakan oleh kantor BMKG Jatiwangi dan SMAN 1 Kasokandel untuk dijadikan media pemberian informasi tentang suatu proses kejadian alam dan teknologi yang bekerja pada kantor BMKG. Simulasi ditujukan untuk siswa SMAN 1 Kasokandel kelas X yang mana mendapatkan informasi tentang bagaimana sebuah proses kejadian alam dapat terjadi dan proses teknologi yang berjalan pada kantor BMKG Jatiwangi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Luther dan program yang digunakan dalam visualisasi menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8. Visualisasi mampu memberikan media informasi kepada para pengguna visualisasi terutama pada siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Kasokandel yang informasinya sangat mendukung terhadap materi pelajaran geografi.Kata Kunci : Visualisasi, Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG), Materi Geografi kelas X.

Abstract

One of the things that lead to failure of an engine is the strength of the material and pengerjaanya . Material strength is a trait possessed by each material . One way that can be done to determine the material properties by performing the test known. Rapid Loading impact testing is the basis of the manufacture of test equipment, where the gravity force works on a pendulum that is dropped from a height and ending with testing specimens mashing. In this final report , will be developed how to make an impact test instrument that can be used to determine the type of fracture and the price impact of a specimen by using Charpy and Izod . Ie, starting with the selection of materials , measuring , cutting , machining , assembly and eventually test equipment can be used as a testing tool.Keywords: machining, production, impact test

Abstract

Implementation of electronic medical record (EMR) in some hospitals, especially in West Java has entered the stage more advanced, which is not only applied to large hospitals, but has also been deployed in some hospitals of type C or D even at the level of the clinic. Resistance to new technology is certainly no doubt will always appear. It is caused by all stakeholders must involved through the adaptation process is not always easy. This research aims to determine the level of acceptance of EMR technology from the perspective of doctors (both general practitioners and specialists) at the General Hospital in West Java. The method used for data collection is by computer-based questionnaire using Google Forms and email sent to prospective respondents. Number of questionnaires distributed a total of 287, and the back and deserves to be treated as many as 73 pieces with a response rate of 25.44%. The research model used is a modified version of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The final results of this research indicate that the usefulness factor being the biggest influence on the interest of doctors using EMR, while the ease of use factor is still the smallest influence.Keywords: doctors, electronic medical record, general hospital, TAM
