Abstract

ABS (Alkil Benzen Sulfonat) telah digunakan dalam proses pewarnaan serat poliester dengan zat warna dispersi. ABS berfungsi untuk membantu penyebaran zat warna pada serat sehingga dihasilkan warna yang merata pada kain.Prinsip yang digunakan pada proses ini adalah solubilisasi, surfaktan dapat melarutkan zat organik, pelarutan ini terjadi dalam misel, selanjutnya misel akan teradsorpsi pada permukaan kain dan zat warna dapat berpenetrasi pada kain.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ABS lebih baik digunakan dalam proses pewarnaan dari zat pembantu standard DPLSNKata kunci: Surfaktan, pewarnaan, solubilisasi

Abstract

Isolation of rubber seed (Hevea brasiliensis) oil have carried out by using soxhlet extraction with n-hexane as solvent. This research have been determined of fatty acid composition of rubber seed oil. Separation of free fatty acid from triglyceride done by ethanol 96 %. The oil phase was analysed by gas chromatography - mass spectrophotometer. It was resulted five chromatogram peaks of fatty acid methyl ester, there are methylester from palmitic acid (9.12%), linoleic acid (44.69 %), elaidic acid (44.69 %), stearic acid (8.89 %>) and 11,14-eicosadienoic acid (5.30 %) respectively.

Abstract

Modifikasi zeolit alam menjadi material penyimpan hara telah dilakukan dengan cara impreknasi basah. Impreknasi dilakukan dengan merendam zeolit dalam larutan ammonium sulfat pada konsentrasi 13,2% - 39,6%(b/v) dengan selang 6,6%. Kalsinasi zeolit hasil dilakukan pada suhu 250ï‚°C selama 4 jam, karakterisasi hasil dilakukan engan menggunakan difraktometer sinar-X dan spektrofotometer infra merah.Disimpulkan bahwa molekul ammonium sulfat terperangkap dalam zeolit dalam bentuk (NH4)2Ca(SO4)2. Perlakuan kalsinasi pada 250ï‚°C selama 4 jam tidak merubah struktur zeolit.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pemisahan logam berat Ag, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb dan Zn menggunakan teknik Membran Cair Berpendukung (SLM) dengan asam di2etilheksilfosfat (D2EHPA) sebagai pembawa. Pemisahan dilakukan dalam perangkat SLM selama 5 jam. Analisa dilakukan dengan mengukur konsentrasi logam di fasa umpan dengan AAS dan pengukuran konsetrasi ion hydrogen dengan pH meter. Hasil yang diperoleh memperlihatkan bahwa tranport dipengaruhi oleh konsentrasi logam, konsentrasi ion hidrogen dan selektifitas pembawa terhadap logam. Pembwa D2EHPA cukup selektif untuk pemisahan logam berat dengan urutan: Zn>Ag>Cu>Pb>Ni.Kata kunci: SLM, logam berat, selektifitas, pembawa, D2EHPA.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian pada kitosan sebagai adsorben. Adsorben tersebut digunakan untuk mengadsorpsi zat warna indikator Metil Oranye (MO) dalam larutan air. Parameter yang mempengaruhi adsorpsi yaitu energi dan kapasitas adsorpsi dipelajari.Penelitian diawali dengan identifikasi gugus fungsional yang terdapat pada kitosan secara spektrofotometri Infra Merah. Model Isoterm Adsorpsi Langmuir digunakan untuk menetapkan kapasitas dan energi adsorpsi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas adsorpsi Metil Oranye pada adsorben kitosan adalah sebesar 8,9839 x 10-5 mol/gram kitosan, dan energi adsorpsi adalah 35,8783 KJ/mol.
