Abstract

In general, teacherÂ’s main job is to plan, guide, and evaluate the teaching and learning process. However, it is not as easy as the teacher thinks it is as he or she may face some challenges. Though he or she has carried out his or her job, he or she cannot yield an optimum result. One factor deals with the learning environment. An unsupportive learning environment may affect the physical and psychological aspects of students. This may result in the studentsÂ’ fatigue and it influences their cognitive development and creativity which in turn affect their learning achievement. Ice breaking is an activity which can overcome those problems. The current article addresses the types and how ice breaking is implemented to enhance the quality of learning itself.

Abstract

Self-Discovery is needed by everyone in order to give self- respect. The one who lost him/herself can not be proud of his/her life. The person will have no hope and purpose in his/her life. It is happened to Milkman. His life is such a disgrace for him and his family until someday he decided to take a travel to Danville. His traveling is a trip to find out who he is. Finally, his journey give him a benefit for himself and his family. He can find his family root; his great grand father is a legend because he can fly without wings like a bird; his name, Solomon, becomes famous. His discovery completes his life in the world.

Abstract

Childhood is a time-sensitive, where the child begins to sensitive receiving various efforts to develop all the potential that exists. Occur during maturation are sensitive functions of the physical and psychological ready to respond to stimuli that is given by the environment. Age period of 4-6 years is the development of the first basic physical abilities (motor), cognitive, language, sosia, l emotional, and cognitive. It is therefore necessary at this time and stimulation conditions appropriate to the needs of the child to the child's development will be achieved optimally. The process of development of physical abilities of children associated with the growth process child's motor, while the process of cognitive development related to the maturity of the way children think. Motor development of children consists of three main elements that are very dominant, namely: 1) The development of anatomical, these developments indicated a change in the quantity of bone structure, and height. 2) The development of physiological, these developments indicated a change of work on the organs. 3) The development of behavior, this development is the coordination between persyarafan and muscle functional and cognitive function, affective, and conative. Cognitive development occurs through a process he called adaptation. Adaptation is the adjustment to the demands of the environment through assimilation and accommodation.

Abstract

Inquiry teaching and learning strategies and motivation to learn expository part Civics affecting learning outcomes that will be examined in this study. While the purpose of this study to determine whether there are differences in student learning outcomes PKn Class VIII and SMP Negeri 1 SMP Negeri 2 Sidoarjo between following the strategy of learning by inquiry and expository learning, to find out whether there are differences in learning outcomes between students who have high motivation and student learning who have low motivation to learn and to learn about the interaction between learning strategies with the motivation to learn the results of Class VIII studying PKn and SMP Negeri 1 SMP Negeri 2 Sidoarjo. This type of research is research used four classes of experiments and study sample. The sampling technique is a type of probability sampling with simple Random sampling. Analysis of data using the formula Anova Two Line for the first hypothesis found the price F of 12.997 and a significance of 0.000 for the second hypothesis found the price F of 56.596 and a significance of 0.000 for the third hypothesis use the statistical technique Anova Two Line found the price F of 1.738 and a significance of 0, 028. Thus the conclusion can be drawn that: (1) there are differences in student learning outcomes PKn Class VIII and SMP Negeri 1 SMP Negeri 2 Sidoarjo between following the strategy of learning by inquiry and expository learning, (2) there is a difference between learning outcomes that have a high motivation to learn and which has a low learning motivation (3) there is an interaction between learning strategies with the motivation to learn the result of Class VIII studying PKn and SMP Negeri 1 and SMP Negri 2 Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) yang diterjemahkan secara bebas sebagai Teknologi Informasi (TI) aplikasi dan penggunaannya sudah tidak bisa dihindari lagi oleh dunia pendidikan. Kecanggihan fitur dan aplikasinya dirasakan sangat banyak membantu proses pembelajaran. Namun yang perlu diperhatikan adalah bahwa penggunaan media hendaknya tidak hanya dilihat dari kecanggihannya, tetapi yang lebih penting adalah dari segi fungsi dan peranannya dalam membantu mempertinggi proses pembelajaran dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu penggunaan media pembelajaran sangat tergantung pada tujuan pembelajaran, bahan pelajaran, kemudahan memperoleh media yang akan digunakan, serta kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media itu. Sudah saatnya proses pembelajaran tidak lagi mengekang kebebasan kreativitas dan aktivitas siswa. Pembelajaran harus dikemas dalam kemasan yang menyenangkan, tidak membosankan. Lahirlah konsep EDUTAINMENT yang memadukan konsep pendidikan dan hiburan yang dikemas dalam ide-ide kreatif, interaktif dan inovatif, tetapi juga tetap menjaga esensi tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dicapai.

Abstract

One of the propositions of inkshedding was that it could broaden opportunity of everyone’s expressing their ideas in written form by inviting others to read and comment on the written ideas. These comments were supposed to assist the writers to improve their writing and to make their ideas easily ‘heard’. Therefore, I utilized the idea provocation technique - inkshedding in my research to see the improvement of the focus and content of the written ideas. Focus was the single controlling point made with an awareness of task (mode) about specific topic while content was The presence of ideas developed through facts, examples, anecdotes, details, opinions, statistics, reasons, and/or explanations. I collected the research data from the written comments made by 13 out of the 38 students joining my class who completed all the six inkshedding tasks. Their comments were posted online in the blog and mailing list. To validate my study, I invited my a senior colleague to be the investigator triangulator by examining the written ideas, in term of the quality of focus and content using the same assessment rubric as I did. My and his scores were then correlated using Pearson correlation coefficient and the result was 93.50% for focus and 94.30% for content, which meant there was high positive correlation between my scoring and the investigator’s. This was an indication of the validity of the scoring.

Abstract

Performance assessment is one alternative assessment can be done by teachers during the learning process. In this research, performance assessment carried out to discover the properties of a square by using learning media. Media that used in this research are square from asturo’s paper. Task students in groups to identify the properties of the square. Instrument that used in this research is the observation student’s performance. Data were analyzed by summing the scores given by observers. The result is the performance of students in discovering the properties of a square is in “good” category. This means that students work on tasks assigned to the worksheet that given by teacher and accordance with the instructions given on the worksheets.

Abstract

Abon merupakan salah satu produk olahan makanan yang sudah di kenal oleh masyarakat yang umumnya, di buat dari daging sapi, nangka muda, dan kluwih. Abon ikan saat ini sudah mulai banyak dikenal masyarakat. Abon ikan gabus dan abon ikan bandeng adalah jenis makanan olahan yang terbuat dari ikan gabus dan ikan bandeng yang diolah dengan cara melalui proses pengukusan dan penggorengan dengan menambahkan berbagai macam bumbu dan rempah agar diperoleh cita rasa khas yang enak dan mempunyai daya simpan lebih lama (awet). Harganya relatif murah, mengandung zat gizi tinggi juga dapat dikembangkan sebagai usaha rumah tangga (home industri) Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan cara eksperimen untuk mengetahui hasil jadi abon ikan gabus dan ikan bandeng. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah abon ikan yang Sampelnya adalah abon ikan gabus dan abon ikan bandeng yang diproduksi di industri rumah masing-masing sebanyak 20 industri rumah tangga di Desa Boro Kecamatan Tanggulangin dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data metode angket dan observasi yang meliputi indikator : hasil produksi abon, biaya produksi dan daya beli konsumen. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data dengan uji t 1) Ada perbedaan hasil olahan antara abon ikan Gabus dan abon ikan Bandeng hasil olahan abon ikan Gabus sebesar 3,49 dan hasil olahan ikan Bandeng sebesar 2,85. Berarti hasil olahan abon ikan Gabus lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan hasil olahan abon ikan Bandeng 2) Biaya produksi diperoleh hasil rata-rata hasil olahan abon ikan gabus sebesar 2,95 dan abon ikan Bandeng sebesar 3,55 atau abon ikan Gabus biaya produksinya lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan ikan Bandeng 3). Daya beli konsumen yaitu abon ikan Gabus sebesar 3,40 dan abon ikan Bandeng sebesar 2,70

Abstract

Humor is an important tool to achieve certain purposes. Humor is at first a type of language behavior. Even though humor, as a linguistic and interactional process, appears to be a universal human phenomenon, it is more obviously embedded in situated socio-cultural context than most other communication. Humor is a (socio)linguistic and sociocultural phenomenon which has a wide range of instructional values. Humorous texts are a reading material in EFL classroom in Indonesia. Discourse analysis has recently begun to explore humor in discourse from both the linguistic and socio-cultural perspective. The present paper addresses how to present and analyze the humorous texts taken from the ReaderÂ’s Digest magazine in EFL classroom which covers (1) the structure and the linguistic devices of humor discourse, (2) the pragmatics and cultural content of humor discourse, and (3) how to present the humorous texts in EFL classroom.

Abstract

Beji Bangil mukena is well-known mukena that develops rapidly, in its research it can be done by woman participation. The problem in this research is how consumer think about mukena product, it is a descriptive research and has two subject, there are the artists of this product and the employees in Beji Bangil with 5 artists and consumers in Nizam and Nazar who are buying mukena, with 248 respondents with questionersas its collecting data, data analisis using %, from each artist using process (1) choosing accessories design and pattern (2) choosing materials and its accessories (3) process of sewing and adding accessories (4) finishing technique(5) deciding (6) quality and (7) packing. From consumers research in next step are cheap prices(50%), accessories design (60,30%), trendy (46,37%), color combination (42,33%), its result (44,35%), quality (46,37%) and quite uninteresting (70,96%)
