Abstract

This study aims to improve the performance of SMP Negeri 1 Puding Besar teachers in compiling and preparing learning planning administration. This research is a School Action Research (PTS) which was carried out in semester 2 of the 2019/2020 academic year with 20 teachers from SMP Negeri 1 Puding Besar. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle was carried out in stages; planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. In cycle 1, the results obtained are very good and good categories have reached 85% or good categories and the average percentage per type of administration reaches 86%, good category (B). In cycle 2, the very good and good categories have reached 95% and the average percentage of teacher achievement per administrative type has reached 91%, or the very good category (A). Based on the results of interviews with teachers, they answered that supervision with an individual approach is very helpful because they can directly discuss and ask questions to improve performance and deficiencies according to the level of each teacher's shortcomings. Thus it can be concluded that academic supervision using an individual approach can improve the performance of SMP Negeri 1 Puding Besar teachers in preparing learning planning administration. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the principal's leadership as the key to success in achieving quality education. This research method is library research. The results of the study show that all efforts in improving the quality of education that are carried out cannot be separated from the role of the principal as a leader in the school. In addition, as a school principal, he must involve all education stakeholders in an effort to improve the quality of education. The principal is needed for at least four reasons, namely because many people need a leader figure, in some situations a leader needs to appear to represent his group, as a place to take risks in the event of pressure on his group, and as a place to put power. In conclusion, the right role of the principal can improve the quality of education. With good quality education, it will produce better quality human resources, and will be able to bring this nation to compete in a healthy manner in all fields in the international world. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the assessment of teacher performance. This research method is the literature review. The results showed that the Teacher Competency Standards were developed as a whole from 4 main competencies, namely pedagogic, personality, social, and professional competencies. The fourth competency is integrated into teacher performance. There are indicators of teaching skills by the teacher, namely, a) questioning skills; b) skills to provide reinforcement (reinforcement skills); c) the skill of making variations; d) explaining skills (explaining skills); e) skills to open and close lessons (set induction and closure skills); f) skills to guide small group discussions; g) classroom management skills; h) individual learning skills. In conclusion, teacher performance has certain specifications or criteria. Teacher performance can be seen and measured based on specifications or competency criteria that must be possessed by every teacher. Keywords: Management, Performance Appraisal

Abstract

The purpose of this studi aimed to look at leadership styles and approaches to achieve effective leadership. This research is qualitative with a case study method. The results showed that there were several approaches to leadership, namely, a) approaches to leadership traits; b) behavioral approach to leadership, contingency approach to leadership; c) behavioral approach. In conclusion, the success of leadership is essentially related to the level of concern of a leader involved in two orientations, namely, the results that have been achieved by the organization (organizational achievement) and fostering of the organization (organizational maintenance). Several important factors can affect leadership effectiveness, namely the right perception, maturity level, proper assessment of the task, background and experience, expectations and leadership style, and professional relationships. The effectiveness of leadership also depends on the pattern of relationships constructed by the leader. Keywords: Leadership Style, Effective Leadership, Leadership Approach

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the leadership of the Madrasah Head in improving the quality of education in MIN 3 Medan City. This study uses qualitative research, namely data derived from interview scripts, field notes, personal documentation, memo notes, and other official documents. The type of research used is a case study. This research uses a single case study. The results of this study are that in carrying out his leadership, the Head of MIN 3 Medan City mostly applies the democratic leadership type. However, it is possible for the Head of Madrasah MIN 3 Medan City to carry out his leadership by applying the autocratic type. 1. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Islamic-based Madrasah leadership in creating the character of students at MTs Negeri 2 Deli Serdang. This research method is descriptive. The results showed that the teachers of MTS Negeri 2 Deli Serdang in their leadership showed a religious work ethic. such as cultivating a handshake and welcoming the arrival of residents at MTsN Negeri 2 Deli Serdang. This is done every day before the pandemic period, but at this time it is done once a week and we are also not allowed to shake hands just give greetings by applying 5S. The strategies for implementing the leadership of the madrasa principal to students in creating student character are by motivating, character, and student achievement, especially at MTs Negeri 2 Deli Serdang. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of educational supervision in improving the quality of education. This research is qualitative with case study method. The data obtained were compiled, analyzed, and concluded so as to obtain conclusions regarding the study of literature. The results of the study showed that educational supervision has the following functions, a) as a coordinator he can coordinate teaching and learning programs, the duties of staff members for various activities that differ among teachers; b) as a consultant he can provide assistance, together with consulting problems experienced by teachers both individually and in groups. In accordance with the use of the supervision technique; c) as a group leader he can lead a staff of teachers in developing the potential of the group, while developing the curriculum, subject matter and professional needs of teachers together; d) as an evaluator he can help teachers in assessing the results and learning process, can assess the curriculum that is being developed. Judging from the definition and function, supervision plays a very important role in improving the quality of education. In conclusion, educational supervision plays a role in providing convenience and helping principals and teachers develop their potential optimally. Keywords: Education Quality, Education Supervision

Abstract

The research objectives are for learning planning in the Covid-19 pandemic, implementing Covid-19 pandemic learning, and evaluating learning for the Covid-19 pandemic at Madrasah Aliyah Riyadus Sholihin. The research method uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique is through the data collection process, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data inference. The results of the study show that teachers carry out learning planning for the Covid-19 pandemic, namely planning based on the existing curriculum with the development of lesson plans. Furthermore, the determination of WhatsApp Groups (implemented by the homeroom teacher) as a learning tool and YouTube as a learning medium, reduces learning hours while managers and supervisors are carried out by admins. Evaluation of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic showed the ineffectiveness of learning which was marked by obstacles in the form of internet network constraints, decreased student enthusiasm, students did not focus on learning, difficulty to understand, students did not actively participate in learning, students collected assignments, the fatigue of the students in learning the Covid-19 pandemic and the homeroom teacher. In conclusion, the learning management of the Covid-19 pandemic is in the form of, a) educational planning with learning policies, namely education of planning, which means education planning for one time use; b) Madrasah Aliyah Riyadus Sholihin Musi Rawas does not carry out supporting activities and supporting learning activities, as well as work plans and their elaboration in the process; c) there is no definite evaluation pattern and meetings are held in learning management planning during the covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find the effect of adversity quotient, time management, and communication management of madrasah principals on the effectiveness of the management of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara for the academic year 2020/2021. This research method is quantitative with the sampling method in the form of a survey. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis techniques. The results showed that 1) adversity quotient, time management, and communication management of the madrasah principal had a direct positive effect on the effectiveness of madrasah ibtidaiyah management; 2) the adversity quotient has a direct positive effect on the time management and communication management of the head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. In conclusion, there is an effect of Adversity Quotient, Time Management, and Communication Management of Madrasah Principals on the Effectiveness of Management of Islamic Madrasahs in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of leadership, supervision, and job satisfaction on work discipline either simultaneously or partially. The research method used is a quantitative survey research method with a sampling technique using a census sampling technique, namely all employees with the status of echelon III, echelon IV and employees who have analytical positions as samples. The data analysis technique was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis approach, correlation test, determination test, simultaneous test and partial test. The results showed that the partial t-test value of the leadership variable on employee work discipline, the supervisory variable on employee work discipline, and the job satisfaction variable on employee work discipline respectively, namely tcount 3,723 > ttable 2,056, tcount 3,502 > ttable 2,056, tcount 8,341 > ttable 2,056. The regression equation is Y= 2.226 + 0.168 X1 + 0.324 X2 + 0.507 X3 + e. While the result of R Square is 0.969. In conclusion, simultaneously the variables of leadership, supervision, and job satisfaction have a positive effect in improving work discipline. while partially the three independent variables have a positive effect on improving work discipline.
