Abstract

Partners in this community service are Blumbungan village community, Larangan District, Pamekasan Regency, East Java. Socio-economic and cultural conditions of the community as well as the activities of the Blumbungan village community are heavily influenced by socio-religious activities, including the existence of youth organizations, mosque youth, “PKK”, recitation groups, farmer groups, and the development of small/home industries (cassava chips, making cigarettes, furniture, pillar making, tofu production). The existence of this small/household industry has positive impact on increasing the income of the Blumbungan community, although there are still obstacles in practice. The problems that have been inventoried, include: (1) Lack of understanding of legal aspects in business management, (2) Lack of knowledge about marketing methods and product packaging, (3) Lack of access to capital business for WUB (New Entrepreneurs), and (4) The direction and development of Village-Owned Enterprises has not yet been determined. The method of the activities includes preparation, counselling, mentoring, and evaluation. The results and conclusions of this community service activity are: (1) Increasing knowledge of the legal basis, function, and role of BUMDes for partners, as evidenced by the results of the distributed questionnaires. (2) Village regulations regarding BUMDes, AD-ART, and the Roadmap of BUMDES Blumbungan Sejahtera are important components in the development of BUMDes. So it must be completed as part of the output in this assistance. (3) In addition to regulations, product development to be managed by BUMDes is also important. In the next mentoring, it will be focused on developing packaging systems and promoting typical Village products both offline and online. (4) With the strengthening of BUMDes as legal entities as regulated in the Village Law after the Employment Creation Law and PP BUMDes, it is easier for BUMDes to gain access to capital.

Abstract

Introduction: Badan Usaha Milik Desa or BUMDes in Government Regulation Number 11 of 2021 concerning BUMDes are legal entities established by villages or with villages to manage businesses, utilize assets, develop investment and productivity, provide services, or provide other types of companies. For the most excellent welfare of the village community. In its application, BUMDes (which in this study is "BUMDes Pandemas Mulya") is expected to be able to collaborate with stakeholders and other parties such as investors, communities, and the people to form a so-called Penta helix so that the capacity and capability of the BUMDes can increase significantly. However, in reality, BUMDes still need to catch up to the target set by the Ministry. Therefore, a tool was created that can increase the capacity and capability of BUMDes itself by utilizing digital technology called "BUMDes Institute Platform Learning." Method: In general, the implementation of creating the "BUMDes Institute Platform Learning" platform is divided into four stages: Needs Analysis, Mapping problems, Validating problems, and Designing applications. The Needs Analysis stage aims to identify issues and material needs for BUMDes actors that will be accommodated in the platform. The needs analysis results are then carried out through a mapping process based on predetermined criteria. The goal is to create clusters between problems and solutions in the form of learning materials that will be included in the platform. Next, the team will validate the results of the problem-mapping process in the validation stage. Then, the team conducts FGDs and internal discussions for the collection process materials to create a learning curriculum and requirements for the application design and development process. After that, the development begins. Results: the application can be implemented for BUMDes even though several improvements will be needed. Conclusions: BUMDes Pandemas Mulya still needs much improvement to develop business units, especially related to business design. So, there needs to be an application that contains information from technical aspects for management (application program) conditions in the field still need completion and periodic assistance that can help educate and teach business aspects.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected almost all areas of life, including in the field of education. Changes in the learning system from offline (offline) to online cause several obstacles that must be faced, both by teachers and students. Students must be prepared to face all learning conditions in the future, especially when entering the new normal period. Students who are getting used to the online learning environment must then face the offline learning environment again in the new normal era. Education in the pandemic and post-pandemic eras greatly influences students' interest in learning. Changes in the learning environment that trigger a decrease in student interest in learning affect student learning outcomes. Students at the Al-Firdaus Orphanage KM 9, Karang Joang, North Balikpapan experienced a decrease in student motivation and interest in learning. In order to increase the motivation and interest in learning of the students at the orphanage, community service activities were carried out implementing interactive learning methods. The implementation of interactive learning methods is carried out by dividing study groups. In delivering the material, the presenter also utilizes learning media. At the end of the learning session, several participants were accompanied by a speaker presenting the learning outcomes that had been received. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be seen that the activity participants were satisfied with the implementation of these service activities. Some suggestions were also given by activity participants for further activities. These suggestions include adding games/games in between learning activities, increasing the duration of learning activities, and adding subjects other than Mathematics.

Abstract

Government regulations, that is, Law Number 60 of 2014, are the basis for central government policy in allocating budgets from the APBN for village funds, or Dana Desa (DD). Through the disbursement of this budget, the government seeks to increase economic equality in remote villages. In order for the goal of DD allocation to facilitate village programs to be achieved, intense outreach from the government and educational institutions is necessary so as to minimize leakage in the form of acts of corruption that impede the running of village programs. A village program that is funded and running well will form a developed and self-sufficient village so that it can create new jobs for the surrounding community. To answer the educational role of educational institutions as a companion for channeling DD to productive community activities, the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Brawijaya, through a team of lecturers and students, carries out community service activities that carry the urgency of village financial literacy socialization. The location for this community service activity was in Tanah Merah Village, Torjun-Sampang, taking into account that during the year the village head was involved in the Village Fund corruption case. Referring to the motivation for holding this activity, the community service activities are aimed at providing education regarding the financial management of the village fund for village government officials. This community service activity is carried out using the hybrid method, that is, the delivery of material by presenters both offline and online. Furthermore, as feedback to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of activities, a questionnaire was given to the participants. Participants in this community service activity are village officials and PLT village heads. The results of the implementation of this community service activity can be concluded: that the management of village finances is only known and carried out by the Village Head and Head of Village Finance; most of the activity participants did not understand the assets and programs owned by the village government; and that village financial education activities have never been given before, so the implementation of these training activities provides insight into the urgency of transparent financial management for the implementation of village program formulations that are effective and in accordance with what the community needs.

Abstract

Recycled waste management, especially in the Giri Mulyo area, is still less than optimal. Giri Mulyo itself is a community village located in Karang Joang village, North Balikpapan sub-district. Most of the residents of Giri Mulyo work as farmers. Based on information from the surrounding community, there has been a decrease in agricultural yields since the covid-19 pandemic. The decrease in income and the increase in the price of fertilizers sold in the market have forced farmers to reduce the amount of fertilizer applied to their agriculture. Based on these problems, an alternative fertilizer that is more friendly to the pockets of farmers in the Giri Mulyo area is needed. So far, many local people have used food waste to make compost as an alternative to fertilizer. However, this method is considered to take a long time and cause unpleasant odors in their environment and also the durability of compost is still quite low. To overcome these problems, the local community needs to be given socialization about information on making organic fertilizer made from household waste, does not require a long time in the manufacturing process and has a high level of product durability. The basic material used is eggshell waste. Organic fertilizer made from eggshell waste contains a high amount of calcium so that it has a good impact on the maintenance of nutrients in the soil, in line with the increase in plant fertility. In addition to being used as a medium for making liquid organic fertilizer, we also provide training in making mosaic pre-works made from eggshell waste to increase the creativity of local residents. The community service activities began with a location survey and interviews with the partners, Giri Mulyo RT 22 residents and teachers of SDN 012 North Balikpapan, which is located in the same location. Next, socialization on recycling eggshell waste into more valuable products was conducted. The activity ended with the residents involved filling out a questionnaire regarding the community satisfaction survey of the activities carried out. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and insight to the community about making liquid organic fertilizer and mosaic artworks from eggshell waste.
